Corporations do not pay income tax...only people can pay taxes. Thom is right, corporations are not people as Romney states. They are legal constructs of people to provide continuity of business activity. Corporations whine that they need to ship work overseas to save money so they can keep prices down. This is a twisted Catch-22. First, foreign workers help Big Biz spit on minimum wage laws. Second, if corporations brought jobs home, people COULD afford to buy more of their products and corps wouldn't have to raise prices. Instead, they're just making more profits.

Finally, do you understand how market value works? If people aren't able to buy or are unwilling to pay for something at a lower price, how/why would they buy it at a higher one? If your argument is that the raise in price will compensate with lower sales but higher profit per sale, well for that to work you'd have to raise prices at least two or three times. The cause of the raise of material goods is generally caused by increased demand on the raw materials needed for production.

Secondly, the reason for China influencing prices of goods is just as I stated in the final point of my original posts. The Chinese, and alot of the world, is finally producing a sizable middle class. These people want goods and services, these require raw materials. With increased global demand of raw materials, the price of processed goods will rise.

Yes, China has a much tighter planning on its economy, but here's the thing... laissez faire economics is crap and leads to rapaciousness.
