@Tranzorr sure it slows your computer, especially when you do any type of scan. You should get a different anti-virus if your computer has a low RAM because your gonna need to dedicate at least 100MB of RAM to KIS. hope I helped ;)

I mean its a nice suite and all but there are other protection solutions available like ESET (which is lightweight program), Comodo (free and tested - works great), etc. Watch mrizos' other reviews and see for your self that there are better solutions other then Kaspersky...

Hey guys my opinion on KIS 2010 is that its the best security suite. But make sure that u have atleast 2-3 GB RAM cuz if u have 1 GB RAM it will run slow. Hello, Matt. Try "Echo Antivirus" in your test with Kaspersky. Kaspersky removed it for me but it had a very hard time doing so. When KIS tried to disinfect, Echo antivirus prevented KIS from doing so. I had to go into safe mode to remove it. KIS also only removed 5 other Trojans that accompanied this malicious program. I had to use MBAM to remove the rest.

To Sitadriver: If you want to download a program to keep it, and you know it's safe, you don't use the sandbox to do it. Just open Internet Explorer/Firefox up as normal and download it normally. The sanbox feature is only if you're testing things or if you're not sure whether or not a program is legit.

Tip for everybody: Download the trial from the Kasperky website, go to ebay and buy the serial code for about 10$. I've done this for the past 2 years and i never had a problem with the serial codes, it works and you save about 70$.

i also noticed that before you downloaded all these viruses, in the scanned objects panel were some reports for viruses found.

I've currently got KIS10 on my test PC, and have to say I'm not impressed. Unless, like in this video, you tell it to restrict all unknown programs, it allows everything not known to run in low restricted! Absolutely useless! It's also very heavy on memory, using on average 5 times as much as Norton's excellent Internet Security suite! Norton used to be bad, but it's the quickest, smartest and most intelligent suite out there. It's the only suite that blocks everything I threw at it. Go figure..

Oh, and Notice how much CPU kaspersky uses. Have task manager open and choose "always on top" in options and notice how the AVP.exe (The one using 10-20Mb of RAM) takes about 20% of your CPU to scan a page while loading...And dont say my CPU is bad, Its AMD Athlon X2 Dual-Core processor @ 2.6ghz now so yea 20% of that for scanning youtube homepage is HORRIBLE!
