I had my Norm (short for enormous) for 10 years before his heart gave out on him. I think this little fella needs his ears taped too. It sounds barbaric, but it doesn't hurt them, and it allows the ear to lay flat on the cheek, and when alert, makes a nice triangle shape off the huge head.

certainly the initial outlay is probably more than other dogs, especially if you get a pedigree pup, a big kennel and only the best of foods. Vet bills will be the same as any other pup. They eat a bit too and need variety so this costs. All worth it though.
