Teena Marie may she rest in peace no longer singing to heavens but now singing for the heavens. Let us all hope and pray that Alia Rose will be guided by the right people, protected and her talent continues to flourish into her own identity for all of Teena's fans to see and love. Teena left us with her daughter to carry on the torch and I pray she does it well as I will follow and support. May she be able to move on from that day of finding her mother that way. Amen... Amen.
P.S. in the 90's Teena had another album title she didn't release called "Make Love Like War" she played the promo at a club called the Ritz that used to be on South St. in Philly, this would have followed IVORY but she and EPIC broke off so I don't know if EPIC has any rights to it, instead Passion Play came out on an independent label there should be a recorded song with that title of the cd I heard it that night.
Yes it is recorded but not released. This would have been on Teena's Cd titled "Black Rain" which was never released instead the song Black Rain was put on LaDona CD. I know this because Teena promoted the song on WDAS radio station in Philly some years ago along with another song called "Ball & Chain" and I know all the words, I have the entire interview on tape but I won't post any of it the song or lyrics out of respect for her legacy. Hopefully these songs will be released to us soon.
