@TalentInTheRaw Actually Neil underwent some changes in his drumming. He is much more relaxed now because of his time with Freddy Gruber. Remember this... as Freddy puts it... it's a softshoe dance... you can make the sounds... but it's about the motion in the ocean. Making the sound becomes vertical, and that time of Neil going through the instructions and also playing with jazz tributes has loosened him up some.

@djgolfcan I don't know if he has... I do know he is on the internet as he blogs quite a bit on a site of his own. Perhaps if someone knows his site or is able to contact him, they could maybe pass the link to this along... let him see what a fan has come up with? I do know, however, he can be a very private person and was never too comfortable with the fact that he does have fans. (Myself included.)

The synthesizer melody played over this arrangement is an example of the Locrian mode. In live performances, the synthesizer part is played by bassist/keyboardist Geddy Lee using a pedal MIDI controller while he simultaneously plays the bass part. YYZ is the airport code for Toronto Canada. If you ever travel to

Toronto, you'll notice the "YYZ" on your baggage ticket. The intro

to this song on the crotale is based on the letters Y Y Z in Morse

code. In Morse code, the letter Y is "-.--" (dash dot dash dash)

and the letter Z is "--.." (dash dash dot dot). Thus, YYZ becomes:

"-.---.----.." or"dash dot dash dash dash dot dash dash dash dash dot dot".
