Well, at least DMC 2 Dante was redeemed when he made an appearance in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. Because he appears there in his DMC 2 looks, but got back his smart-ass and laid-back attitude.

That was because he was trying Dante's way for once. Vergil's choice of long range weaponry has always been flying swords/daggers. And even the opening cinematic of DmC2 saids that is Dante not Vergil. It would be really really weird that Vergil would all of a sudden change his name to Dante.

Why everytime he has a coin that the old lady ask him a favor? Those are the questions that need to be answered, but they remain unanswered.

Personally, I feel that this was probably the most innovative in the series. Everything that you can do in this game is somewhat of a precurser to devil may cry 3. Rainstorm, Wallrunning, twosome time, and bloody palace were introduced in this one.
This one also had the best music and the customizable amulet was kinda badass to play with.
it would be rediculous if dante found a wounded virgil in hell or something then brought him back home with him on his motorcycle XD makes sense on why he stayed in hell for a bit

Its fitting that this is the last DMC game in chronology in a way. According the Divine Comedy, Dante meets Saint Lucia at Paradiso which is pretty much the near the ending of the poem. But I would still love to see what happened to Dante. Was that really him in the motorcycle? I hope so ^_^
@DarkKnight1326 Here was a few things that was cool about Devilmay cry2.I liked the epic rematch with phantom(he was a boss in the first dmc).The customizable devil trigger,Lucia`s Devil trigger(i wish she was in another devil may cry game with a better outfit like her unlockable one with the jacket) and the badass gunshots dante has in this game it feels like he is shooting real bullets not some ping Ping things like in the other games etc.
Since 2 was the first out of the series I played I overall enjoy it. Even now I like the gritty look and atmosphere that this game coveys. In my opinion as a game its better then 4 because the way the game felt it was dark without being emo. Dante just wasn't a wise cracking joker that he can be dead serious and purely effective. Shoot it might not be as fast paced and 3 or 4 but overall it would be the best if it had that gameplay Since overall 2 was the easiest for anybody to get into.

the order is definitely 3142 with the anime set somewhere between 1 and 4
theres different hints to the order including characters and the shop's name.
dante meets lady in 3, then trish in 1, they are together at the shop in 4, and trish is in 2. the last is negligible. dante however is older and more mature in 2 and he also is trapped in the demon world at the end. you dont actually see dante in the end when lucia hears the motorcycle.
You're forgetting about Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, he was in it. (And he is recruitable, as in hired, as well). Though he is mostly an antagonist to the protaganist. And I assume it is after 2, considering it looks like that version AND he has in possession that two headed coin. I would had thought that it was shortly before 2 since his personality seems more like the first one's if it wasn't for that coin.
ive known that just from the games lol and if they make a 5th, i was thinking that maybe it could be Nero outside his office. in the 2nd shes in there waiting for him and hears an engine, but maybe it could be nero fighting and then they have to somehow open a portal to the demon world but other crap happens.

My point is that Dante matured like a LOOOOOT since there's a good 30-40 years passing between DMC 2 and 3. This is why Dante became more and more serious, I think. DMC2 is my favourite because that was the first DMC I've ever encountered. DMC 5 is said to be quite lame with some Edward Cullen-looking black-haired emo Dante :D:D Gonna check it out tho :D:D

There are many rumours about DMC 5 in the internet. CAPCOM didn't confirmed that, but it's oblivious there will be DMC 5. O, BTW, CAPCOM is going to make better versions of the old DMCs - "Devil May Cry Collection" for PS3, with HD graphics and other cool stuff...

nero got the devils arm when dante stabbed his arm with rebelion a reaction caused the arm of nero to become a replica of vergil's demon form the arm transformed. but i think the arm is going to become neros demon form in the future.
Uh, no..... he had gotten the Devil Arm at a point in the past where he and Kyrie were attacked by demons, and in order to protect her he succumbed to a voice that said it would 'give him power' to protect Kyrie.

the order is definitely 3142 with the anime set somewhere between 1 and 4
theres different hints to the order including characters and the shop's name.
dante meets lady in 3, then trish in 1, they are together at the shop in 4, and trish is in 2. the last is negligible. dante however is older and more mature in 2 and he also is trapped in the demon world at the end. you dont actually see dante in the end when lucia hears the motorcycle.

You're forgetting about Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, he was in it. (And he is recruitable, as in hired, as well). Though he is mostly an antagonist to the protaganist. And I assume it is after 2, considering it looks like that version AND he has in possession that two headed coin. I would had thought that it was shortly before 2 since his personality seems more like the first one's if it wasn't for that coin.

ive known that just from the games lol and if they make a 5th, i was thinking that maybe it could be Nero outside his office. in the 2nd shes in there waiting for him and hears an engine, but maybe it could be nero fighting and then they have to somehow open a portal to the demon world but other crap happens.

@taqun DMC 2 is said to be taking place latest in the DMC series and DMC 3 first, but you probably already knew that. My point is that Dante matured like a LOOOOOT since there's a good 30-40 years passing between DMC 2 and 3. This is why Dante became more and more serious, I think. DMC2 is my favourite because that was the first DMC I've ever encountered. DMC 5 is said to be quite lame with some Edward Cullen-looking black-haired emo Dante :D:D Gonna check it out tho :D:D

There are many rumours about DMC 5 in the internet. CAPCOM didn't confirmed that, but it's oblivious there will be DMC 5. O, BTW, CAPCOM is going to make better versions of the old DMCs - "Devil May Cry Collection" for PS3, with HD graphics and other cool stuff...

I think if capcom made a dmc5, they should continue from the ending of dmc2. But for a nice twist, they should make nero the one riding outside dante's shop, than lucia and nero meet.

nero got the devils arm when dante stabbed his arm with rebelion a reaction caused the arm of nero to become a replica of vergil's demon form the arm transformed. but i think the arm is going to become neros demon form in the future.

Uh, no..... he had gotten the Devil Arm at a point in the past where he and Kyrie were attacked by demons, and in order to protect her he succumbed to a voice that said it would 'give him power' to protect Kyrie.
Personally, I would have done the same thing. Just because you are a half or whole demon does NOT mean that you would be a 'bad guy'... Dante and Sparda proved that!

Wait a sec Samanosuke. You said, that Nero is 100% Human. Well, i disagree, cause Sanctus said many times, that Sparda's blood is running through veins of Nero, that he is from Sparda's bloodline. And about Nero's DT or something like that, I don't know, did you noticed, but it looks like Nelo Angelo alias Vergil - Dante's twin brother. And remember what Nero heard, when he get that arm? "Power...Give me more Power" - sounds like a Vergil, don't ya think ? Maybe Nero became corrupted by Vergil?
