After watching it again, it looks like the light box, the head-lights, and the horns were all powered by the battery with the cars off. Since his keyboard was apparently modulating the car horns, it would have really been cool if they'd started them up to keep the battery from dying and played a song :D

LOL there is a minor cheat, everytime they start a car, that cars alternator takes care of its energy demands and probably some spare to share the load with the battery.

Starting all the cars at once would be impossible though. I think two or three cars at a time would be to big a drain for any car battery. But a great advertising idea.
