I hear you. I came out to close friends and family almost a year ago. But I would never come out to my extended family. Then this morning I'm talking to my mom and it turns out she told everyone yesterday. Thanks mom. (Our family is very conservative and Catholic, hence why I didn't tell them)
I may be straight, but I wish people would get over the homophobia, gayness isn't a choice, and many are blind to it, so I say all people who are Lesbian, Homosexual, Gay, whatever you prefer to be called, I say do it! Don't hold back! Love is for everyone, not for one type of sexual preference!
You're already coming out and didn't know it. LOL. It's a lifelong process and it begins with baby steps. But humankind is evolving so quickly what with the internet and globalization. Your life will change for sure once you start coming out regularly, and you'll feel such a relief! I should know, I was highschool quarterback and suffered so much anxiety because I didn't want to let people down. But when I began living for myself I was overwhelmed by the support I received. Now I'm really happy!
Step out... soon. Give your hetero friends and family a little credit. They may be upset, but you may be surprised that they love you more than they fear homosexuality. They may already know on some level. *big hug*
I'm kinda in the same boat...Slowly coming out. I don't really have close friends to tell and at this point don't care if anyone else knows i'm gay or not...except for my family that is. Though i don't exactly just randomly tell people, like during conversation or whatever.
Yeah, same here...i had joined my school's LGBT group. I thought that maybe i'd be able to meet some other lesbians, but there were like only 2 other girls in the group and the rest guys...that's what i got for going to a school that was 70% male...hehe.
It's because i went to a predominately engineering school (Georgia Tech)...i knew there were a bunch of other lesbians at the school, they just didn't join the group.
i went to the only college in the US that is exclusively devoted to students with Learning Disabilities and AD/HD. Since more boys are diagnosed than girls (for many reasons) the school has a 70% male population. I was the ONLY out lesbian student in the population of 500 students. Luckily, there were some other queer students and some lesbian faculty...
A wonderful video and a wonderful message. I'm in love with boys or men. Beloved my life long, haha. I wish you from my heart, that you can live your life in a manner as you want. Step for step for being free. Love you, cheers, Norbert
