Yeah, I've noticed that even large caliber guns don't kick mush in Hickok's hands. I guess when you have a large body, the body tends to absorb most of the recoil. I did know small people always have had problems with large caliber guns and large guns in general. Even some video games like "Commandos 2" depicted this problem. I have a friend from Hawaii who is Asian and he told me that his father was having a lot of trouble firing the M1 Garand in WW2.
I like the humor, that was funny as it gets, You do a superb job with gun control and I notice the way you handle a weapon " Safety" the weapon never faces more than 90 degrees from down range. Great job.
at 6.15 in the video i could never hit a target with a handgun at that range even with my glasses on. thats some exceelent shooting. hancock should be an instructor instead of a you-tuber. that might make a dent in his ammo bill.

Oh no Hickok said the F word...Feinstein. Please watch your language Hickok that's one of the most offensive words to me only topped by the P word (Pelosi) and the R word (Reid). Let's just clean it up a little please.
@thefinder808 us californians really take offense to abusive language so dont even think about saying jerry brown. or squashanigger. or the ever dreaded costa word. its gonna cost ya.
Hello hickok I've been watching your shooting tips and techniques and they have helped me a whole bunch! Thank you! I shoot recreational, but wanted to ask you since you've shot tons of different ammo, what ammo do you personally recommend for home defense. I shoot the Glock 19. I heard the winchester ranger T are really good but not sure if those are available for civilians.... Thank you so much!
Hickok, have you ever tried an NAA super companion before? it's a great little .22 cap and ball that i think you should check out. i have one and i love it! it's actually better in ballistics than the NAA cartridge version! i have a review on my channel too!
Hey Hickok, An interesting fact I noticed!! I am on the market for an EDC pistol. I'm Down South. Do Southerners NOT LIKE Springfield XD's? I noticed on the statewide gun sale website, most popular gun trade, purchase website, I noticed that a whole lot of Springfield XD's are either up for trade, for Glocks, or being sold for a really low price. Usually between $400-$475. However I can't find too many Glocks or Ruger SR9c's. What's your take? Is there a flaw I know nothing of? Should I buy one?
Dianne Feinstein is an "expert" in the other kind of "gun control", the kind that controls the people to keep them from having guns. She's far from an expert from knowing anything about guns.
In you honist opinion what is your ideal conceal carry
im a big guy like youself and i tend to live were its cooler weather wich alows jackets most of the year and im looking foward to buying "when im 21" a full sized berreta m2 or kimber 1911 both fullsized for my conceal carry
@GunloverClark I LIVE IN ALASKA...i carry a fullsize 1911 everyday..now our laws are entierly diff from any other state so i carry it 2 ways..when i open carry i use a blackhawk serpa paddle holster and open carrry use a glaco triton inside the wasit band....i used to carry a fn9.40 cal i hands down rather carry the 1911 then the polymer fn...more balacned wieght...just imo hope this helps and iam not a big guy 5'11 169 lbs
Kickoc45; Hmmm, I do 100 yard shots with my hunting revolvers, never thought about doing it with a 9mm. Something new to play with. About how much hold over are you using? And I agree gun control is controlling the gun and hitting your target, everything else is progressive nonsense.
Thanks for the gun control tips, Hickok45. Being just a brand new gun owner here in CA, I really envy the freedom of gun ownership you guys have over there. Still have to work on my trigger control, but your tips on maintaining sight picture and controlling muzzle flip are the next things I'm gonna work on. Just bought an XDM 9mm a month ago but can't controll the recoil/ muzzle flip anywhere near as good as you seem to.
Best part: "Dianne Feinstein, Charles Schumer, Sarah Brady, and some other but I don't know there wasn't enough focus on how to grip the gun.... The best I can tell they probably don't shoot very well because I couldn't make head or tales of most the tips they were giving."
thats great shootin mr h but ive had problems with the poly guns the barrel aint very stable so i feel that they aint as accurate as lets say a 1911 or other steel firearms
hickok i've been having issues with my glock 19 since the day i bough it. It won't jam or misfire. .... but seriously, i think i need to adjust the rear site for windage, Is it common for them to come from the factory not lined up to where it will be shooting? i've heard stories of people almost having to make their rear sight hang off the edge of the slide to hit correctly. Most of my experience was with winchester white box FMJ (i carry gold dots)
@kyle1058 Your eye dominance and the hand you shoot with could play into it too. I was consistently shooting beautiful groups......about 2 inches left of center. Im a right handed, left eye dominant shooter. I changed my stance a bit to accomodate my left eye ( left foot forward, body turned slightly right) and my groups were finally back to center. It seemed as though I was pulling the gun to the left to try to line up my left eye with the sights. Hope this helps!
man, you're incredible, it pisses me off to see such few views as apposed to people watching justin bieber, 50 cents, and eminem,,, Keep up the good work,,,, Lots of respect from Canada here
Here is the number one tip after safety, Don't be afraid of the gun, be very familiar and comfortable with it in your hand, with that you can stabilize your grip and have pretty decent control.
Dianne Fienstien nealy blew off a senators head doing a gun control speech. she was fumbling around with an "AK47" a "drum CLIP" she kept pointing it in his face
Wow this video really helped a lot. I just got my first gun today, and my first time shooting today. Now I got the ruger lcp, nothing crazy but it seemed like it was recoiling a little more than I anticipated. But after seeing this I should have a better understanding of proper form and anticipation. Thanks for the help.
I looked up Chicago's Mayor Daley since he is big on gun control, but imagine my surprise when I couldn't find him saying anything about holding the gun tight and leaning forward. I think he's doing it wrong.
Too bad you couldn't invite Dianne, Chuck and Sarah down to the compound to show them we're not the demon possessed, gun waving lunatics that they portray us as.
100 Yards with a handgun - That is a great group. All handgun ranges in my area are 50 Feet, and here you are hitting the same size target I shoot at but 6X further away. Wow I need to practice way more than once a month. Before I saw this video if someone told me that they hit a 2 foot diameter target 100 Yards away with 80% hit ratio, I would not believe them. You are the Man!
Hickock, I love your videos sir, always excellent information, always entertaining. I am always amazed at how accurate you can be with a compact Glock at those extreme ranges.
God i hate the Canadian gun laws it fucking sucks it takes away the right for law abiding citizens to protect them selfs and gives criminals more power
i mean its always good to carry a gun with you in case zombys come out.... PERIOD. zombys can come in various forms, crackheads, methheads, stupid fucks. All types.
Great Video hickok! I was wondering do you, or have you ever fired a gun with a shoulder thing that goes up? Just a question. I heard Carolyn McCarthy mention it.
Spanking targets at 100 yards with a pistol isn't easy. Nice shooting and great advice!
I seem to have a lot of trouble with my Keltec P3AT .380 because my hands are much too large for the gun. One big issue is the position of my shooting hand's thumb interfering with the mag release. I've trained myself to keep my thumb off it, but I'm still having some trouble with accuracy. Got any advice for very small gun control?
@cronoslogic , Maybe I'll do a video on that, if I think I can help any. I think everything is exaggerated with these little guns. Grip is more difficult to manage, making a perfect trigger release more difficult. It still comes down to trigger release, though.
This video is great I live north of the 49th parralel where gun control doesn't mean a steady hand . Here owning a firearm is a privelige not a right, so make sure that you hang on to your rights, remember your rights are harder to take away than priveliges that are granted at someone elses discretion. Keep shootin Hickok45
Love this video hickok, born in USA but live in australia were 'gun control'? is tight and i think the safest thing to do with guns is teach people to use them, wondering if you could do a video on the correct safe way to load a gun
Great video that really addresses the importance of gun control. Like you, I am passionate about gun control. I have learned way more from you than from Schumer and Feinstein. I have yet to hear them tell me anything I can use at the range!
maybe its just me but i think at the gong at 100 yards i can see the bullet barely before it hits. Maybe the bullet is moving slow enough at that distance its possible. If you pay attention when zoomed on the gong see if you can see the bullet asplit second before it hits
This is great. I'm sick of being a brainwashed suburban liberal with everyone and their mother spewing useless statistics about the hazards of owning a gun. You never know when the shit is going to hit the fan and unfortunately there are people out there that intend harm so why not arm and protect yourself?
Hi Hicock, I want to first say you sold me on Glock pistols. I will be pickin gup a G26 next week. One question, are you using stock Glock sights or some type of night sights? Thanks!
At 3:13 you talk about leaning into it. Excellent tip that I try to share with everyone I know that shoots. There are lots and lots of people I know that stand square to the target and stand straight up or even lean back. Drives me nuts. I found the best stance is slightly quartered away, one foot forward, and leaning into it. Thanks for making that point for me :)
excellent video, i just took my wife shooting last weekend. We brought our new ruger p345. She was having some issues with the 45 recoil. Next time we go out i will show her the control methods u demonstrated.
Use the phrase "anticipating recoil" carefully. I'm no expert but from my personal experience when I anticipate it I usually flinch downward to try and minimize recoil. I've been practicing and I've been getting better though :) lol 5* thanks for the videos.
Hickok, please load this video to a flash drive and send it to the Brady group. And, all those pagans in Congress who would likely institute another senseless AWB.
It's great that you did this, and is a concept that any YouTuber posting gun videos should consider replicating on their channel in their own words. Our 2nd Amendment rights are being challenged, and as duly noted, many in the U.S. can't even carry concealed in their state. We need to get to get the word out.
You're hilarious.

Great video that really addresses the importance of gun control. Like you, I am passionate about gun control. I have learned way more from you than from Schumer and Feinstein. I have yet to hear them tell me anything I can use at the range!
Keep up the great work.

I agree, this form of "gun control" is far superior to the one that gets all the media attention.

If you have the sun at your back, you can see the path of the bullet. Nice shooting hickok!
sreign1 1 year ago
maybe its just me but i think at the gong at 100 yards i can see the bullet barely before it hits. Maybe the bullet is moving slow enough at that distance its possible. If you pay attention when zoomed on the gong see if you can see the bullet asplit second before it hits
monsterman27 1 year ago
@monsterman27 you can't see the bullet hit, it's going to fast. You must have seen the bullet ricochet off the metal.

This is great. I'm sick of being a brainwashed suburban liberal with everyone and their mother spewing useless statistics about the hazards of owning a gun. You never know when the shit is going to hit the fan and unfortunately there are people out there that intend harm so why not arm and protect yourself?
momobney 1 year ago
that is cool, at 100 yards i could see the bullet hit before I heard it.

Hi Hicock, I want to first say you sold me on Glock pistols. I will be pickin gup a G26 next week. One question, are you using stock Glock sights or some type of night sights? Thanks!
Vubonic 2 years ago
My G26 has stock sights on it.
hickok45 2 years ago
For a home defense pistol and main carry, will the stock sights be sufficient or do you recommend upgrading to NS?
Vubonic 2 years ago
At 3:13 you talk about leaning into it. Excellent tip that I try to share with everyone I know that shoots. There are lots and lots of people I know that stand square to the target and stand straight up or even lean back. Drives me nuts. I found the best stance is slightly quartered away, one foot forward, and leaning into it. Thanks for making that point for me :)

excellent video, i just took my wife shooting last weekend. We brought our new ruger p345. She was having some issues with the 45 recoil. Next time we go out i will show her the control methods u demonstrated.
MrPettj 2 years ago

D'you think you could come visit Canada and teach Wendy Cukier about proper gun control? I'd be much obliged! :-)
