Back then, in the 60's, there was a black&white television program named "Sabato Sera", which openning theme I still remember, although almost 50 years have past. So, I'll be delighted to hear the theme once more, not only in my mind, but for real, with my own ears. If there's one who has it, please load it up. Thanxs, I will really appreciate it.
I have an old San Remo LP from 1969 with Rita, I Dik Dik, Lucio Battisti, etc.. all of the wonderful songs from that festival. Does anyone know if this is available in CD? When I visited Rome a couple of years back, I looked for it in a really big record store in Rome and they didn't have it. I was surprised that they even didn't have anything by Rita. It seems that they only had contemporary singers. What a shame.

Yes, Italian music is very popular in Latin America. Rita Pavone was a idol Latin America in the 60's. But the saddest thing is that I couldn't even find her music in Rome let alone the USA! By the way, I think that she once made it to Ed Sullivan. I could be wrong, but I think that I read that somewhere.

Sicuramente ognuno ha i propri gusti in fatto di musica (ci mancherebbe)....non sono un fan so però che negli anni 70 l'industria discografica la snobbava e ha fatto tv cinema e tatro, mentre otteneva un ottimo successo in Francia dove riusci a cantare all'Olimpya di Parigi. Onestamente speravo che una cantante come lei potesse riemergere con progetti nuovi (ha inciso qualche lp ma di scarso successo) invece di continuare a cantare La partita di Pallone a oltranza dagli 80 in poi!

caro extralevel forse non hai focalizzato bene la carriera di Rita Pavone molto bene. Dal 69 in poi Rita ha fatto una miriade di altre cose di cui forse non sei a conoscenza .Come ogni cantante degli anni 60 ha attraversato momementi di crisi ma non è mai caduta nel ridicolo anzi ha chiuso la sua onorata carriera nella trasmissione di Vespa che non mi pare abbia nulla di ridicolo.I gusti sono diversi ma il rispetto del lavoro altrui è una cosa da tenere presente
i love this song too, but i only said that song is the swansong of rita. Since 1970 she flopped in italy, and in the 80's to 2001 she sung only the hit of when she was 14 or 15!

The song never appeared in the US, because Americans don't like music in foreign languages! So I have not heard it for forty years. What a treat!
