  • Take those Marines and put them in an Airborne unit or Ranger battalion, then see if they will start laughing. Besides how is what the Marines doing beneficial to your body at all?

  • I hate doing houses, always messes up my knees, plus people's shoes hit you in the face, other than that it's a good time

  • Like I always say - Army has probably the widest range of motivation in regards to their service members. They can be widely discredited if you focus on their less motivated individuals, but they can be extremely credited if your focus is on their more highly motivated, more badass service members.

There are good and bad everywhere you go!.... Navy SEALs just do a much better job of weeding out the soup-sandwiches! HOO YAH! lol

  • @FirestormAlpha11 Delta. Enough said.

  • @RealCreativeName Also known as CAG, which of course SEAL fanboys don't have a clue about :D

  • @RealCreativeName agreed

  • @FirestormAlpha11 SEALs? lol, um they are entry level special operations who run around telling everyone that they're the best. DEVGRU (ACE er whatever they're calling it now) excluded. SEAL's let in 17-18 year kids with no experience.

Try ODA's, ODD's, SAD and a dozen others you will never hear of.

  • @n3xusunit That's kind of the point... It's a voluntary force.

  • @Palmer640 huh? I lost ya man- what exactly are you referring to? I mean because it's all voluntary no matter where you end up in the US military (except jail).

  • @n3xusunit they have no combat experience no matter how long they stay in the navy...they might as well take people that young...its not like the Army or the Marines where you can go from a year or 2 in the Infantry to Spec OPS

  • @kujowahwah Wow, finally someone who knows why noobs are selected for the job! And yes actually I fully agree- the only thing I wish they would change is the level of humility the men have. Too much attitude and misinformation/hype creates tension that I don't think should be there and I have personally witnessed way too much of it. Maybe SF and the JSOC guys should be more instrumental in the training of the other special units in their core training and not just the train ups for deployment.

  • @FirestormAlpha11 Army Special Forces "3 weeks in hell"-the selection course for the selection course........higher drop-out rate than Navy BUDs....enough said

  • @kujowahwah True! Not to mention the other 50% that fall out during the 1 1/2 year to 3 year long qual course!

  • @n3xusunit hell yea man

  • @MrVarct All that I'm going to say is that not one person on here has the right to disrespect any branch of the military. One more thing, some of the people on here can't even spell correctly, which gives me the impression that some are just lazy teenagers with nothing better to do with their time. So fellow people that have been enlisted, ignore these others that obviously know nothing. OOH RAH!

  • @FHSlipKnot4Ever a big HOOAH in agreement broski=]

  • The average Marine is first termer, 18-22 years old-and will do one stint. The average age of a soldier is 27 and is a third termer. Marines: young ignorant brainwashed kids, Army: trained, adult professionals

  • @SOFSoldier1 The average age of the army is going to be higher, the army is easily 3-4 times the size of the corp, and if your saying the the United States Marine and his rifle isn't the deadliest fighting force, then you obviously don't know shit. Also learn your facts the army has a considerably larger amount of friendly fire kills and has less discipline than the corp, there's a reason the corp is harder to get into, so trust me when i say u have your statement backwards

  • @roflovvned123 you obviously have never been in the army...so how would you know anything about it besides what you read about it?....you also sound like some brand new FNG fresh outa Parris Island or San Diego that thinks about nothing but the Corps...either that or you are about to ship out

  • @SOFSoldier1 now just stfu, and give love to all those who sacrifice everything for their country, no matter the branch of military. Thanks to all of you

  • I personally believe the ARMY is better, but everybody is entitled to there own opinon. Anybody who says one is better then the other is ignorant. They all die for and protect America, they just do it differently.

  • @BloodySHOKNUFF You just said "I personally believe the army is better" then "Anybody who says one is better than the other is ignorant" Lmfao, you want to talk about ignorance, you are the definition.

  • @Gargoylezbreath "contradiction in terms" is the term you're looking for

  • oh and no branch is better than they other we do different jobs that we train to be good at and whatever were weak at the other branch is best at and just so you guys know the army n marine corp training is same except we count reception and we get about a week to practice graduation and marine corp trains you to be infantry no matter what the army trains you accordin to ur mos army infanrty training at sand hill is almst identical to the marine corp except we like things dat suck so gata kikass

  • took fallujah twice im a marine and served in operation iraq freedom and served in fallujah and i got to stand up for the army soldiers that protected me and my platoon the only reason why the army lost control is because their were being reassigned to Korengal Valley the valley marines failed to control and shauk row all the way down to kuwait so if ur goin to tarnish the honor n prestige of the army for all theyv done fuck off kuz remember dis like our country the military branches are united

  • Clearly you are neither a Soldier or a Marine, but you like to associate yourself with that which you know nothing about. You olny wish that you had what it takes to wear a uniform of the U.S. military. Do yourself a favor and stop wearing your ignorance as a badge of honor and show some respect for the men and women that DO serve.

THE U.S. ARMY AND USMC BOTH FIGHT AND DIE TOGETHER!

UNTIL YOU HAVE SERVED, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO DISRESPECT ANYONE WEARING A MILITARY UNIFORM.

  • And if anyone says Army is a bunch of pussies compared to Marines or anyone...Well, I know a 6'6" Airborne Ranger Major they can tell that to and see how well that goes over. Most Army soldiers who take their job seriously can kick ass and take names with the best of them.

  • I am prior-service Army. Finished my active duty, got my HD and I have to say that comparing Marines and Army is retarded. Your average Marine is in slightly better physical shape than your average Army soldier but...Army has a bigger force and has to serve in support roles as well as combat...while Marines are almost strictly combat but a much smaller force....hence the few. I was Intel and we respected the Marines as they respected us because we relied on each other to get the job done.

  • why do we have marines. marines are part of the navy anyway. let the seals take the mission over and give the marine budget to the navy.

  • @Robbie12GS Hey fuck you, With out any of those men, we would be fucked. So stfu.

  • @zGri11 dont be so emotional. you can ask one of your boy friends to wipe your tears for you.

  • you guys are all a bunch of pussies... the marines included

  • @ivone1991 I see what you did there. #bigtrollin

  • idk what unit you guys saw...but..my PT, wld put any of those marines to shame... Stay Cav

  • This is not a fair comparison, the army videos you are watching are pretty calm moments at a BCT(basic combat training) 9 weeks at fort sill or fort Leonard Wood ,basically preparing for non combat roles. The marines however are all trained for a combat role because their an assault force. the funny thing about these comparison videos is they never compare it to Army combat arms like 11B (OSUT) or 19D (OSUT) at Ft. Benning, because the results would be very similar, i know ive been there.

  • Also the only real difference between the Army and the Marines as a fighting force...

    Marines are an assault force

    Army is a sustaining force

    /thread

btw the army recovery stretch being performed is the single leg over. And its PRT now not PT.

  • @jakefrnkln "Marines are an assault force

    Army is a sustaining force"

Exactly... which is why the Marines had to take Fallujah twice.

  • mfw bitches dont know that the Army guys are just stretching waiting for the marines to stop playing bonding games with eachother.

  • no one plays F@#$, F$&% games like marines ooh rah

  • Marines do not go in first if they went in first my friend would still have his leg. Cause if marines went in first then why would rangers be killing all the threats building base then calling in the marines? marines are so cocky when they think they are best when all branches are equal.

  • @MrVarct What branch are you in?

  • @MrVarct Rangers got my respect, but they and the rest of SOCOM are a lightweight force, hence why they go in first. The main Army is a heavyweight force. It takes a lot of time to mobilize and get into position to do anything worthwhile, but it drops a big motherfucking hammer when it does. The Marine Corps is a middle weight force. It has more power than the lightweight forces of SOCOM and less mobility than the main Army.

And I cannot accept all branches as equal. Not with the Air Force.

  • @MrVarct What are you talking about? All branches think they're better than the other, Navy's better than Air Force, Marine's better than Army. They all serve they're purpose and they all are extremely good at what they do.

  • LOL. That one marine said "They're practicing the Jessica Lynch move"

AHAHAHAHHA I LOVE THE MARINES NOW

  • Never knew being a girl push up position was hard. You guys probable looked at they were taking a break from there work.

  • @MrVarct Then you do it. That shit is hard staying in that position and then having to crawl under everyone else, only to get BACK into that position.

  • @UltimatusRedemptus it isn't actually...that position is part of my unit's cool-down drills

  • Why do the Marines give false advertisement saying "First to fight!" when the true bad ass' ( Army Rangers) are there first???

  • @ArmyxStrongxx i am a marine bud i eat army rangers for breakfest

  • @blasterkido But yet they still are better in skills then you everyone in the military is same strength but all have different skills that require more from people. Rangers are the hardest to get threw and get Ranger tab over marines.

  • @MrVarct Rangers were created so Marines can have heroes. ;)

  • @blasterkido sure you do, go tell that to the MARSOC or Recon Marines who fail Ranger School.

  • @ArmyxStrongxx *cough* Rakkasans before Rangers..

  • right half of the guys where buckling after a few moments and doesnt really show anything.

  • @stardocker They were probably out there for more than 5 minutes mate

  • its called the ultimate destroyer, its a joke. you lay there and stare at the sky. its a big thing at boot camp because all the privates here the DSG say the ultimate destroyer and poop their little pt shorts, then realize its a joke.

  • hilarious! I was thinking about joining the Marines. this just helped me make that choice. Oraah Marines!!

  • Marine Cheerleaders are so delusional that facts and evidence won't get to them. I even challenge them to go to Fort Benning, Fort Lee, Fort Bragg, or any big Army base that offers courses.

Marines in the Army Airborne, Rangers and SF. I've met them. GO CHECK IT OUT. I DARE THEM. but they will be so disillusioned by reality.

  • @SerpentGreen249 I agree. Hell even Air Assault.

  • Go check them out yourself. Last base I was at..Fort Lee, Marine enlisted and officers are there, trained by Army courses

  • You get what you put into PT. There are a lot of lazy ass PT regiments out there because their leadership is lax. We got stuck with MR. PT for a few months as our section sergeant doing crossfit with IBAs and logs for 2 hours was always fun, before you have to go do your real job, fixing aircraft. Ya thats a good idea, hit muscle failure while balancing on the top of a Black Hawk roator... seems like a good idea.

  • And then there is the airborne

  • @benkerr69 and then there is recon

  • @MikeMMA9 LOL, so many former Recon guys are the airborne. Especially, Rangers and SF.

  • @MikeMMA93 no there not, be aware of branch cheerleaders and phonys. they all use the internet as vessels to be whatever you want say all the bullshit they want, but recon guys are not the army's airborne. look at what that guy said to him in the top comment, no wonder he tries so hard...

  • @1HUNDREDB Go check them out yourself. Last base I was at..Fort Lee, Marine enlisted and officers are there, trained by Army courses.

    GO. Research.

  • @1HUNDREDB can't handle the truth? LOL

  • @1HUNDREDB lol im sorry i misread what was going on, but i stick to my statement, recon is no joke. and by no means was i saying army airborne was either. they are both tough

  • @fascism147 Explain why force recon switch over to rangers or being sent to ranger school and the majority of them fail.

  • @SerpentGreen249 LOL show me the proof on that. I know what rangers go through, not near what marines nor recon go through. Perfect example here of how weaker guys go to the army and the best join the few.

  • @fascism147 Proof? go to Ranger School. You will find Recon guys there. Or go talk to any Former recon guys that are in the Rangers.

No one is going to tell me otherwise, cuz I personally knew a former Recon guys, who became an Special Forces captain and died during SF dive course.

  • @SerpentGreen249 Oh, and Ranger school allocates slots to Marines, Airmen, Sailors and foreign students.

  • @fascism147 As a matter of Fact, 2LT Dayley, is a prior enlisted Marine--Recon. We went through the same Officer Basic Course together.

  • My boyfriend is an enlisted Marine. And the Marines are The Few. The Proud. OORAH!!!

  • We are all troops. We all train. Some have to train harder because their work demands it. I can say in a lot of club fights over in Germany I never lost. I was a wrestler in HS and it was too easy when I could use my hands and feet. I was a Blackhawk guy and lots of people think aviation is pussy. Well its not. Your humping a 50 pound toolbox most days walking enough to wear out recruit boots in as little as 2 months. Thats pretty hard core stuff. Then again the Army CE is its own animal.

  • Rofl thats bs... I was a ranger in the army we had it rough just like the marines.

  • @wovautumn ranger training is the equivalent to marine basic. even if i'm being exaggerate there, go look at what force recon does, or better yet, navy seals. rangers seems like cake.

  • @fascism147 let me tell you rangers is not cake. what you see is not how it is. what you hear is not what it is.

  • @fascism147 You're so full of shit.

  • @fascism147 uhhh... lol?

  • Could you handle 6 weeks with the 317th. Dont think so....

  • Army/ Marine Vs AirForce. AirForce didn't make it to the field ;). Thats why I joined the AirForce. Our PT test is harder than the Army one though.

  • @DecentShadow TY 4 Ur service =) I will have 2 say this. While on the base the video was taken at.Every morning my husband woke up 2 the Air Force using Stretchy bands 4 their entire PT & not just for warming up. It was so Embarassing that I sent a msg 2 my Cousin whos a Lt Col. in the AF. He couldn't believe it. I sincerely hope all UR everyday PT isn't like that. BTW,I took the AF Tests & PT (I scored Very high 2) before going USMC. U never know when U may need that training. TY 4 Ur service

  • @DecentShadow Ha you're funny. I am not sure when the last time you compared the PT standard but I can assure the Airforce is not "harder" than the Army.

  • I used to be stationed at that shit hole in 29 palms and get drunk at that field(Victory Field)

  • when I was in bct I was in the Alpha+ running group...and we ran past some Marines one day and they got smoked for letting the Army pass them.....so EVERY DAY from then on we ran that route just to pass them and watch them get yelled at....

  • lol we're all on the same team at the end of the day everybody needs to chill out and take a few jokes in these comments

  • @hitmanvb47 TY =}

  • Jeez, U.S. Military is U.S. Military, regardless of what branch. Marines aren't better than Army, and Army isn't better than Navy. No one is better than anyone else. We all serve our country regardless. I can't believe people (AMERICAN CITIZENS) are arguing about this. PT may be different for some branches, but that doesn't mean they don't make up for it in something else. Where's the respect for ALL of the military?! Smh...

  • @GhostSpider174 The Army IS better than the Navy, however. I speak from experience.

  • @GhostSpider174 Army is much larger, however Army has certain units that would own marines/navy. Army does not brag and are hush to these certain units. It has to be that way for a reason. So, you kids go right ahead and have your pissing contest amongst yourself.

  • i love "building the house" or whatever its called we do that in rotc so fun

  • army PT is kinda a joke compared to marines...

  • all the while the marines look like they couldnt even stay up. stop comparing what each service does.

  • @baritone1whs07 This was Extra exercise after their already Rigorous training. Give them a Break, please.

  • Bogus, & sick.

Boots should not be subjected to this public videoing.

  • Whats shown in this video is NOT intense/grueling Marine PT, nor would it be considered "intense" PT by Army standards. It looks like more than one of these Marines are going to their knees on occassions as well, several times. Why aren't they being motivated properly by the instructor?

  • I cant beleive that ive done PT on that same field. About once a week id see the marines doing PT on the field, and every time i wish i was doing that instead of the Army crap.

  • @therealmetal578 cause it was better, or easier. Sorry after all the "we carry 7ton trucks on our shoulders" PT comments I'm not sure anymore.

  • @yz250rdr158 because it was better, i wouldnt even sweat on the pt days we didnt runs.

  • @therealmetal578 So did my husband. He always did extra training to make it more challenging. Thank you for your Service. =)

  • @therealmetal578 what field is it?

  • OK, I am a retired Army Ranger. In 21 years I never went to a gym or did much time on a field. Most of our PT was done running through the woods, sloshing through the mud and ruck running up and down sandy hills. On avrage a Marine is in better shape then a avrage Army soldier. But the Army has many Special Ops units such as Rangers, Special Forces and Delta and Scout Sniper Sections. They like Force Recon do real PT while the rest of the Army gets fat a lazy.

  • You know what's a real joke? Watching the Med Group (AF) do pt. "Ok, run a lap, do 20 pushups, 20 situps, then stretch. Then we're going to run a mile and a half at your own pace." And sadly, that's the group that everyone sees when doing PT.

  • WOW SO HARD EVEN FEMALES ARE DOING IT!!

    GO ARMY!!!

    MARINES GO HOME!!

  • Actually Trumans quote is...The Marine Corps is the Navy's police force and as long as I am President, that is what it will remain. They have a propaganda machine that is almost equal to Stalins. You think I don't know that the Marines get hand me down equipment from the Navy (not the Army)? and you asked how they get more done with less earlier? The Marine Corps has 200,000 active duty, while the Army has over 1,000,000 active duty. They do more with less.

  • @KateHiesinberg Read the article that I sent you, I rest my case. Everything I have to say is in in that article. It says it better than I ever can.

  • @KateHiesinberg some of stuff you post is incorrect, Army have over half mil. active duty and over half mil national guard and reserve. Marine boot is 12 weeks and 1 week reception and 9 weeks basic and 1 weeks reception for regular Army but Infantry basic is longer.

  • @d8654474 -cont. the more you train the better you are and a big part of that is the difference school. Training cost money, it cost money to train the troops and cost money to build training facility, the Army have the money and the facility, Marine are poorly funded and it seem they spend half the year sitting on navy ship, which basically do nothing accept going to the gym, being in classroom, and maybe be on watch, while the Army spend much more time in the field training yearly.

  • @d8654474 i'm speaking from a combat MOS perspective. How the hell are the Marine better train? Maybe a Marine cook is better train than an Army cook but when it come to combat MOS, no way.

  • @d8654474 I think the most under appreciated people in the military are the Army logisticians. Infantry fights the War. Logistics hauls it. Nothing happens until something.

  • @SerpentGreen249 NOTHING HAPPENS UNTIL SOMETHING MOVES.

God bless Army logistics. The unsung heroes.

  • @SerpentGreen249 Without supplies, Army logisticians are useless. Without food, all soldiers are ineffective. That's supply officers and cooks right there. Without the Chaplaincy, THE MOST under appreciated (it's a fact) MOS in the military, the entire engine would shut down in a matter of a few months, without human resources, there would be an endless pile of paperwork that no one would want to do, etc etc the list goes on. Army logisticians have it easy.

  • @Yuilen I'm Infantry. I used to think that logisticians have it easy. Until I served in a Forward Support Company. I think Infantry has it easy, We just fight.

And without supplies, the whole military is useless.

  • @SerpentGreen249 Well infantry probably has the easiest job in the Army, that's for sure. However being in the 101st Airborne, a former Rakkasan, I can say with confidence that the logisticians in my unit worked harder than just about any other logistics group in the Army, especially since the 101st has deployed more than anyone else in this long war. And yet, I still say their jobs were relatively light and easy compared to many other MOS's. Including my own.

  • @SerpentGreen249 fight, stand post, go out on QRF (depending on how many tics ur guys are getting into), maintain your weapon and gear, somehow find time call home and sleep all crammed into 2.5 - 3 hours... if ur lucky... yea being a grunt is soooo easy.... ur dumb

  • @0351assman1 easy, as in having one mission, fight.. I'm fucking Infantry...all that you just mentioned, been there, done that...I also served in a logistics company,

these guys get ambushed all the time, they work long hours to haul supplies to us.

As I always say, Infantry fights the war, Logistics hauls it. I've been in both.

  • @Yuilen EXactly and WELL put! No MOS is less inportant in my mind, and considering My whole family past and present, including me, my ist husband and now my newly disabled Army Intel Veteran. I Greatly Appreciate ALL Our Armed Services!! Take care

  • @Yuilen VERY true, Very True!!

  • @Yuilen are you serious? The army has atleast 10 times the equipment the marines do, and 20 times the people to feed and gear. How is it any diffrent then any other branch? Becase last time i checked the jobs were the same just with diffrent details.

  • @TwizztidAngel ...Read my post again you fucking derp. You don't realize your post is agreeing with what I was saying...not disagreeing...

  • @Yuilen I would re read your post but for some reason now I cant find it. If we are agreeing then I apologize. I can admit when I am wrong.

  • @SerpentGreen249 from what i see Infantry work harder in the field and support work harder in the rear, although infantry have a higher standard when it come to PT. Logistic definitely work more in the rear but we paid for it in the field and more in actual war IMO. I never been big on putting down fellow soldiers.

  • @d8654474 My son & husband have never spent any time on a Navy ship. Though the Marines don't have a lot of funding, they get plenty of training. He pt's every day, rifle training, pft, mct & mcmap. He doesn't have an ounce of fat on him. They do 13 weeks of boot & the last week is the Crucible & Ceremony. 7 weeks at SOI after boot & then he spent 8 months at his MOS school. They are expected to be better than the rest, regardless of their MOS.

  • @KateHiesinberg curious what is your hushand and son MOS?

  • @KateHiesinberg again alot of what your post is inaccurate, you repeating what you assume or hear Ex. SOI i believe is not 7 weeks and as far as MOS it depend on the job as far as how long it is. it great that they serve and you have pride in them but don't assume something if you haven't been in it.

  • @d8654474 So are you a Marine? If not, please don't tell me that I am assuming, when all reality, I am talking from experience. My son went to boot on 5.11.2010 and graduated on 8.10.2010. Do the math. He went to SOI on 8/21/2010 and headed to NAS Pensacola on 10.13.2010. Once again, do the math. He was at NAS Pensacola until April 2011, so there I am wrong. It was 6 months and he has been with his squadron for almost a year. his MOS is F18 Electrician. My husband is retired.

  • @KateHiesinberg My husbands MOS is INTEL & Elite Recon. Although he is a newly disabled Army Vet. Being INTEL He nor I can talk about our exact former MOS's for the next 25yrs on pain of death basically. We can not go to certain countries for 25yrs for safety reasons. I have said way too much as it is. I Thank ALL Mos's as each MOS plays it's part to make Our armed services run smoother. @d8654474 I will be praying for your son and Thank Your husband for his service. My Dad is a Vietnam Vet =)

  • @AzQtpie22 (con't) what he is a part of. I hear him say all the time, I am a soldier first, but there is a part of me that is grateful that when my son gets deployed (which he is on now), that he isn't on the front line. Once again, I'm a mom. I am grateful for all of the Men/Women who serve our country. Oh & the scores are from his PFT and CFT not the PT. I know he works out every day & PT's every day. The Marine Corps has a very strict policy regarding height/weight ratio.

  • @KateHiesinberg no i'm not a Marine. Have you been in any service? i've been in Army and from my experience and talking to Marine that end up in the Army i know that since Your son is in a support MOS (electrician) there nothing wrong with that but he went to MCT not SOI (SOI i believed it 5 weeks not 7) and if you assume just becasue he a Marine he train harder than everyone in the Army you wrong.

  • @d8654474 There are two training classes in the SOI. Infantry is IBT and non infantry is MCT. Maybe the Marines that you are talking to have been in so long that they never went to the SOI??? Have I ever once said that I think my son trains harder than anyone in the Army? I think not. I have mentioned the kind of training that he gets while he is in the Marine Corps. No different than anyone else, because the USMC has stricter standards that the Army, Air Force and Navy.

  • @d8654474 And please don't tell me that they don't. They have the strictest weight restrictions and they are the only branch of the military that requires ALL of their Marines regardless of MOS to be able to hit a target 500 feet away. No I haven't been in the military, nor did I ever want to be. But answer a question for me. If a Marine leaves the USMC, goes into the Army why doesn't he have to go to bootcamp again? Yet someone in the Army does? Equals should be treated equal. Right?

  • @d8654474 sorry I meant 500 meters not feet. One thing I noticed though. You seem to go to all of these videos that has Marine vs. Army and try to argue with any person that you can that doesn't think the Army is the greatest. The only reason that I came on was to see what the MCMAP gray belt training looked like, because my son picked up his gray belt last November. Maybe you need not worry so much about what every one thinks of the Army? As long as you love them, isn't that all that matters?

  • @KateHiesinberg lady your freaking annoying, you are repeating what many people that never been in either branch been posting. It like talking to a tree, lol. it seem the Marine fanboy is more fanatic then the actual Marine themselves.

  • @d8654474 Let me guess you're one of those "I couldn't make it in the Marines, so I had to join the Army instead" Then you spend the rest of your life dogging the USMC. Sorry that they found lacking

  • RESEARCH TASK FORCE FAITH

TF Faith, fought to protect the Marines from being encircled by 120,000 Chinese.Marines never mention it.

  • @SerpentGreen249 There hasn't been a war in 8 years and while everyone else is still in Afghanistan, the Marines are taking care of business elsewhere.

  • @SerpentGreen249 And please don't ask me to enlighten you, because I think the Army understands OpSec. Both my Men are Expert Shooters and can hit a target from 500 feet away.

  • We can sit here all day long and argue about who is better and never come to an agreement. I will however thank you for serving our country, because I do appreciate the sacrifices you make

  • @KateHiesinberg Trust, I have total respect for all Services. Friendly rivalry is a good thing. It's family affairs. In the end, we're one big family.

  • @SerpentGreen249 I totally agree. :) I do appreciate you and everything that you do, you have more character and morals than most I will ever meet in my life. And contrary to what the world might think, you do make a difference and you are appreciated. You take care while you are over there and be safe.

  • @KateHiesinberg Please, read the whole Research study that I showed. It tells you exactly how it is.

Example it gives is Fallujah the SECOND BATTLE.. Marines requested help from Army CAV. CAV went first cleared the most of insurgents, Marines even failed to keep up. Took more casualties. CAV MEDEVAC was far superior to that of the Marines.

Marine Major Karcher even admitted in the research.

PLEASE GO READ IT. You understand my feelings. The Army is the most under appre.

  • @SerpentGreen249 I will read it and I don't think that you are under appreciated. In a war situation, it doesn't matter what branch of the military you are in. You are all still side by side getting the job done. It doesn't matter what your MOS is either. Every person is a part of the whole. It's what makes our Military second to none. Period!!

  • Korean, Chosin Reservoir, Task Force Faith of 2500 protected the entire left flank of the 1st and 2nd Marine Divisions 2500 Army troops held off 120,000 chinese from encircling the Marines for 4 days before being annihilated. One Soldier earned the MOH.

Vietnam. Marines refused to come to an aid of a tiny SF camp at Lang Vei, even though Marines had earlier agreed to rescue the tiny SF camp in event of a heavy concentrated attack.

  • @SerpentGreen249 Active and Reservists: 1,129,283 Army 240,847 Marines. As I said the Marines do more with less. That story is kind of week and old. It is a story that has been passed down from the Army from generation to generation. I wouldn't consider Yahoo answers a good source of information. All Marines are Soldiers First. They are All trained for Combat in addition to their MOS. Army bootcamp 9 weeks, Marine Corps 13 weeks. Marines don't get to call home often during bootcamp.

  • @KateHiesinberg 13 weeks but many days are spent on Drill and Ceremony. History classes. I wish the Army would do that. I have a bunch of former Marines in my unit. some of them, Infantry.

Believe me, they all say the Marines are no better than the Army. In fact, they get trained by the Army.

  • @KateHiesinberg Marines deployment about 6 months. Army was up to 15 months at one point. More boots on the ground..

No, like I said, Army Infantry Basic, I only got a chance to call my mom once.."Hi mom, I'm alive, bye. that was it.

and FYI, Basic Training DOESN'T make the US Military. Basic training is a fucking jokeBasic Marine or ARmy compared to unit training.

I had done a road March 100 miles in four days. 27 miles ALL NIGHT LONG IN 9 HOURS. carry AT LEAST 90 lbs.

  • @SerpentGreen249 In addition to their 13 weeks of bootcamp, they go to 7 weeks of Combat training and if they aren't infantry, then they go to their MOS school. From the beginning of the Armed Services, the Army has hated the Marines, because they were afraid that they would be replaced by them. The Marines do it all. Air, Land and Sea. The Marines aren't attention hounds, they just get the attention they do, because they are the most respected branch of the military.

  • @KateHiesinberg Like I said, everything started in WW1. Marines made a name for themselves at the Army expense. That was when the my of the "Second Army" began.

10,000 Marines can NEVER out fight 2 million Soldiers. Regardless, if it was the other way around.

"Marine Corps has a propaganda machine that rivals that of Stalins"--Pres. Harry Truman.

  • @SerpentGreen249 *That was when the myth

  • @SerpentGreen249 make for my freedom.

  • @SerpentGreen249 In all reality ALL branches of the armed forces are valued and respected. I personally respect every man and woman who has joined the military as they have done more than most will do. They have all signed a contract to defend this great nation and everyone in it. I just happen to be a Wife of a Marine and a Mother of a Marine. I am very proud of both of my Marines. I am very proud that they live by the Marine Corps Values....Honor, Courage and Committment.

  • @SerpentGreen249 I believe I made mention of the small wars manual which was written in 1935 by two Marines. The counter insurgiency field manual was written in 2007, because unlike the Marines who are all soldiers first, the Army sent untrained soldiers into the Iraqi War, who had never had prior combat training. As stated before... I am a Marine's Wife and a Marine's Mom. I take just as much pride in the Corps as my husband and son do.

  • @KateHiesinberg Combat training? what do you think basic training is? it is basically basic tactics, PT, and marksmanhsip.

The Infantry just expounds on it.

  • @KateHiesinberg the Counter insurgency was re-written by GEN Patreus. Something The Marine Corps will never mention publicly.

Untrained Soldiers? uhhh, Basic Training? it's all tactics, marksmanship, and PT. the Infantry expounds on it.

  • @KateHiesinberg Marines get all the Hand me down equipment from the Army. when your son is on his SECOND deployment. I'll still be on my first. ready to go.

  • WW1--2 Million Soldier, a Brigade of 10,000 Marines. WW2, European Theatre, All Army. Pacific: 6 Marine Divsions, 22 Army Divisions. Army Air Corps ended the war by dropping the A bombs. Air Force belong to the Army until 1947 when it became a separate branch.

  • There's no doubt in my mind that the Army PRT is fucking weak sauce. I hate doing it, it does nothing for any of us in our unit and it's boring as shit. We do have days, though, where we do whatever hardcore shit comes to mind, which is great. But no doubt, Marines have crazy PT.

  • Try NAVY pt(:

  • lol compare pt of marines to army pogs what an idiot, ok let's compare pt of army infantrymen to marine cooks, it would look just as bad if not worse, sad you had to use our pogs to win this one bub

  • Hey Guys... I am sorry that I had to put my two cents in again. First Thank you to ALL the Armed Services. It's just Ft. Huachuca's Marine INTEL being smoked after their regular Extremely Intense PT. The Army and Marines do Not do PT together, unless they
