  • hello thanks bmartin200400

  • she had just gotten her period, so the director had her lay on the floor and shot this vid

  • Milli Vanilli Got the arse for lip sinking !

  • That is the most shagable female ever.

  • Sorry for your comment; that NEVER entered into my thoughts

  • So in love with her...quite correctly...she was a Goddess

  • She is so lovely, and what a voice !!!!

  • Nice Song.

  • I think part of her allure is that she appears so very tightly controlled... she doesn't move, except for her eyes, and oh, what eyes. And what A voice! Pure and unsullied, just so perfect....

And then yes, she is just so cute.....

  • @Mongalo434 I agree with you in all the ways. She seems so marvellous and candid. I just love to see her gestures, specially with the eyes. Yes, perfect!

  • Her early work in pop music in 60s, was overshadowed by struggles with drug abuse in the 1970s. During the first two thirds of that decade, only two little-noticed studio albums. After a long absence, in 1979 she Released 'Broken English'. Faithfull's subsequent solo work was overshadowed by her personal history. From 66 to 70, she Romanced with Rolling Stones' lead singer, Mick Jagger. She also co-wrote "Sister Morphine", which is featured on the Stones' Sticky Fingers album.

  • BRINGS BACK MEMORIES FOR SURE. ALWAYS LOVED THIS SONG. SHE WAS SO CUTE. I WANTED TO LOOK LIKE HER IN 1965

  • A great song. I think I first heard it at a county fair. Blaring away on one of the ride. I was a kid of course, but I was captivated by the words and Marianne's voice.

  • Absolutely beautiful and haunting. One of our favourites..and best listened to while watching the sun set at Lands End in the UK.

  • I don't know why but when I hear this song I think of Audrey Hepburn :/ weird isn't?

  • Prefer the original. There was a great slew of stones covers around this time but the original versions were almost always superior IMO.

  • Ein wirklich gütiger Titel der 60iger Jahre mit

    viel Feingefühl.W.M.

  • I thinks she is great

  • I adore her.. Thanks!

  • she was so hot

  • i would give a heart to grow through the sixties.

  • Great !!!

  • Just about the most haunting voice I have ever heard...full of emotion and richness.

  • Its pretty god damn hilarious how much better the Stones version is

  • @JaysGOP not really?

  • Stones' evergreen!!!

  • man she was good looking

  • @Norwayflex89 : as a Goddess she was perfect...too bad about the drugs.

  • @dumboldon yeah man

  • @Norwayflex89 Have you seen her now? She's fucked her face by having cosmetic surgery.

Frog lips etc. Frightening - she would have looked better to age naturally like the Frenchie - Brigit Bardot! She was only 17 here and Paul Mc Cartney's squeeze.

  • @mistertoshwell I bet buddy

  • @mistertoshwell What a terrible thing to say.

  • @LesbianVampireLover Sorry didn't mean to offend. I got the wrong girl as well - it was Jane Asher who has had disastrous cosmetic surgery........

  • If you want to see her NOW watch the movie "Irina Palm" She's brilliant and the film is brilliant.

  • Thanks!

  • mick got the mars in the arse.

  • Omg, what a gorgeous woman/child she was.

  • She has a very pretty accent (day......)

    Ed

  • Thanks great audio!

  • She was naked except for the bear rug, but couldn't we also say that the policemen were naked except for their uniforms?

I am such a sucker for that 1960s "boomp da da .. boomp da da" rhythm.

  • @sabrinalou1....Marianne was still at school when she recorded this, and its obvious in this clip she was somewhat shy but determined to get it right. She is aristocratic but never mentioned this. Got married while still in her teens and had a baby. Had a fling Mick Jagger but by then her musical career was almost over.

  • @macvatu This "fling" was actually a steady relationship that last 4 years. And as to "her musical career was almost over"... what? You do realize that she has been in the music business this whole time, right?

  • @macvatu no she was 19 when she sang this, certainly not at school but a mother who had recently left her husband and was working her way through the stones

  • @BAREBACKER She was 17. The song came out in June 1964. Marianne is born in December 1946

  • Not so much famous for singing but more for shitting Mars bars out of her cunt.

  • @Lamvesp I heard that was just a rumor, the Mars bar incident, LOL....someone said it was made up by the police that raided the house where she and Jagger were. Good imagination on the part of that cop, and I have to wonder how many folks tried that since...

  • @whatanightmare1 Well if it is only a rumour it's a shame for her as that's the one and only talent she is purported to have had.

  • @Lamvesp You mean besides singing?

  • @LB40186 No.

  • marianne rules

  • The Oboe makes this song.

  • No wonder Mick popped her. She is absolutely gorgeous during this part of her life. One of the prettiest women alive at one time.

  • superrrrrr muziek.

  • This is so perfect but why her voice changed that much ?

  • @EdwardCry5

Drug addiction and Booze give you that Joplinesque blues voice if you're lucky.

  • @OropherThranduil

    What a pity...

  • @EdwardCry5

yeah, i like her early sensitive croon.

  • angel

  • she looks rather pissed off.

  • It's probably Allan Clarke (ze zinger of ze very good Hollies)... who was just dating Marianne Faitfhull at that time ...when she was just freshly 19... Apparently... the man was uncool ...he just used her like a beautiful plastic toy... and he follow his journey like a maya bee ... from a flower to a sunflower under the midnight moon... I can't understand the man.... when you've got a girl like her ... you can't play the badass funky bee scenario...

  • What a beautiful woman. That mouth and big gooey eyes.I loved her then and still do.Delectable.xxxx

  • It was a completely another DEFINITION of beauty!!! not as now at all, the media has another and errant concept of beauty.

  • Unbelievable : 6 dislikes ??

  • for Deb B. I Love You Joe Brasty

  • @jayroper2000 Not really, just a story embellished. Truth can be so boring.

  • This is so fabulous... The stillness is just mesmerising and so sexually attractive in a respectful kind of way! Marvelous. Shows up Madonna and her ilk for what they are - trash.

  • @jayroper2000 They were false, no truth at all. Fabrication of the fact that Marrianne wa eating sweets when the raid by the Police came. They were all together in one room. Whatever I say the rumours will always persist. Talk of conspiracy theries!

  • I hear this song in cold case it make me cry

  • pretty marianne

  • she barely opens her mouth

  • She is pure perfection!

  • MAN, this song is addicting!!!!!!!!

  • @audgiepoo1805 so is smack

  • Sad she was addicted to drugs and did not get her due. I hate that. The stones made money on it. Jerks.

  • @sanjoe86 I totally agree. Guess that was how it worked back then

  • @lindylou381 It was really great back then, such better times. Thank God I have my memories still. Not gaga yet.

  • Best version!!!!!!!!!!

  • Even better now as a gorgeous mature woman!

  • She sang it she lived it and she meant it, She understood what she sang because she lived it.

  • at 1:04 i see a dollop of mick's cum fall from her dress.very hot.

  • I didn't even know she had such a beautiful voice!

  • Oh no, her eyes got me too. :)

  • four things spring to mind here; 1) how beautiful Marianne is; 2) how great the song; 3) the video is so fantastic and arty. I know technology was the limiter in that you just couldn't jump around like jack-asses with cameras as you can now. But the tech limiter of its day forced the producers to be so inovative; and 4) How great an artist Marianne was/is. Thanks for loading... Love you Marianne from Ireland.

  • The great Jimmy Page on backing guitar

  • @jmf1002 i did not know that

  • @hovis1962 Yup, this was Page's one of many backing contributions in 1964 when he was a much-sought after full-time session guitarist in London, before Yardbirds or Zeppelin.

  • @jmf1002 marianne can hardly sing what did she do to get this gig have sex witht the stones and jimmy page

  • Her sad eyes look right inside you and tear your heart apart. And all you want is that - always- this feeling of deep sorrow - forever, as long as she is there with you. Because she reminds us of our mortality and of things inside us which we hope are immortal.

  • @FourTrotters That's brilliantly put, thank you!

  • Marianne could have been a super model, but chose to sing. What a beautiful girl she is. She stole my heart in the 60's

  • @TheDavidjoy meh... if I were given to choice to be a supermodel or a singer, I'd choose to sing.

Not saying that I'd ever be given a chance to choose between the two... I'm too plain-looking, while Marianne was beautiful :)

  • I wish I was Mick Jagger ...I would have just gone off with Marianne to a secret Island and lived in heaven for the rest of my life.

  • give 'em the laaaaaaazy eye.

  • Why the hell is she relasing a new CD?

  • She is realy beauty

  • Her big eyes killed me.

  • I was 15 years old when this song first came out and I was hopelessly in love with Marianne. There were many cute chicks in the 60's, but she was way up there with the best of them.

  • This is a really pretty version of this song. She looks so beautiful and scared like a little girl in this clip. I just love it.

  • @sabrinalou1 Yes Sabrina ! she met Jagger and company in these days

I promise you every girl got scared meeting those guys in those days.....

However , she survived a time full of chemical pleasures you know what I

    mean?????

  • samagee love u 2 lol

  • this is thehow to kill a beautyful song

  • This song was written for her.@rockrogerbr

  • @rockrogerbr

THIS WAS ONE OF THE ANTHEMs of our generation , The 60s, What do you know about feelings ? it was 1965 and you were not there to experience. you lost the train ??? I was 15 and all boys abd girls were having parties, in home, went to watch rugby, football, horseridding, all together

Rolling stones, never existed ,nobody cud do nothing to stop beatlemania,Stones had to work 40 years more, to gain some recognition. Betles had it in their first song

  • I didn't know it was,the 1st one that keith mick did together,is what you mean? Thats just crazy...

  • This is great!

  • @zaaritha Agree 100%

  • written by keith richards and mick jagger i just found out, interesting.

  • @SarahElisabethMaria This was also the first song they wrote together.

  • this makes me crrrry!!i love you Marianne xxxxxx

  • This song has always been one of my favorites.I still have my origional Decca 45 record, I think it cost me 6/8d.The B side is What Have I Done Wrong and its also a favorite of mine.

Thank you for posting the video.

  • Marianne Faithfull-such a nice girl: the way she sings and how she looks,so pretty. But though I'm not sure if she was happy...

    Tank you for posting it!

  • A 19 Year Old Marianne Faithfull. Awesome!!!!!!

  • Stop taking Valium and get out there with them!!! No seriously though a "classic" and they didn't have botox then!!

  • Such a real naturalness to her beauty. Not like the girls today who have to rely on shedloads of make up and hair extensions to look decent.

  • @MrMisterMissy ..although you do not have an account aymore...I just have to tell you....she has false eye lashes on.

  • @candybrae1 Yes, she does....that was the "in" thing back in the 60's. But ladies did not wear much else, color wise. I recall my mom's false lashes and pale iridescent beige/pink lipstick. Heavy liquid liner on the upper lids, to hide the lash glue...and big, teased hair. I have always loved that look, myself ;~)

  • @whatanightmare1 I went to the Lucy Clayton School of Modeling. ..(LONDON).....Jean Shrimpton...Twiggy...and me....in the same year.....So I know what i am talking about.

  • @candybrae1 I always wanted to look like Twiggy. I was just a little girl in the 60's, but I always loved fashion and beauty. Indeed you know what you are talking about :~) That is something to be proud of, working with them. I did a little modeling in my teens, but went through my university, got my degree and got too busy, fell in love, had babies...you know the story, haha. Got my "Mrs." degree.

  • @whatanightmare1 I know, hey?

From what I've seen, clothes and hairstyles have changed A LOT since the 60's, but makeup? Not as much...

  • @MileygirlJ12 I agree, well...except for a brief spell in the 70's when some fool decided women looked better with no makeup at all, lol...I didn't care for that, personally, but since I was in grade school at the time, it didn't affect me. But I love the heavy, smoky liner, I still wear mine most every day. Love the dark eye/nude lip look.

  • @whatanightmare1 lol, I actually would prefer it if the "no makeup" look was still "in"... nowadays, some girls are perceived as "less attractive" just because they do not wear makeup... Some of my friends never wear makeup, yet in my opinion, they're beautiful, anyway :) I do wear makeup, however, because I like it :)

But I also wear glasses... so when I wear makeup, it would look different than if I didn't have glasses on xD

& I love that dark eye/nude lip look, as well :)

  • @whatanightmare1 For me, I prefer the no-makeup look. I mean, makeup can make you look good, but to me it feels a little like a lie. Maybe that's a strange thing to say.

  • @TsiSiFa Nah...it's not a strange thing to say, and there are women I know that do look great without makeup. Just not me, lol...I'm very blonde and without the eye makeup, my lashes are pale, so it looks better when I have them done. But, I don't like heavy foundation at all, yuck! But I know what you mean, about it being a lie, because in a sense, it is.

  • @whatanightmare1 The great thing about TV is how they can put loads of make-up on you and make it look like you have none - same as a good photographer - the truth is make-up is essential when on camera and under the harsh lights, or you'd look like a zombie - however good your looks or complexion!

  • I always loved this song and she is a doll.

  • That's what you get with The Glimmer Twins!

  • This has always been a favourite of mine , I grew up with this one as it was my sisters favourite . Is Marianne still about ?

  • I have heard several covers of this song. An unlikely cover was by Foster and Allen, a superb version. Every cover I have heard has carried the feeling of melancolia. A good piece of writing, no one has managed to destroy it. Marianne's is my favourite!

  • 1965 song.......3rd year high school memories....

  • she was very beautiful in her time
