@Mongothegr8 Thanks for the comment. Yeah, it gets tough when you hit 100 and bloody hell around 150. Takes grit and determination! lol! 44 is good. You'll get to 100 before you know it! Good luck!
I just can't get the timing for the double unders but prob just repeating and rotating fast as i can might get me there...awesome achievement James!!!
Matter of fact, I am sending out an S.O.S for jumping rope: how, how can I stop tripping over my rope so much and really start working out with the rope?
Now this is exactly what I am seeking: versatility. He bangs bars and he snaps the rope. In fact, I would say that mastering the bar, the rope, and a few ohter things could put a person on a world class fitness level.
Yo that was hardcore right there. This is what fitness is really about, not just the barz. Many of us neglect other ways to get in shape because we are all stuck doing only calisthenics. Dawalli you are an inspiration to us all!!
@Rasclot222 You know it X! I kind of consider this part of calisthenics too. Real functional use of your bodyweight right here. Thanks for the comment brother!
@dawalli Yeah Jump roping is a prat of calisthenics what I meant was most of us here is only stuck with doing just pull up push ups ect... Even me. I have to get back to my roots. I used to jump rope everyday and now its only once or twice a month. But now I'm inspired. :-)
@Rasclot222 Yeah, you're right. I too have gotten away from other aspects of training, but now I'm trying to add more variety to my training. Get on those double-unders - they'll rip you up!
@dawalli True true. I'm a semi-pro tennis player, and with my fitness coach I work on strength, core, speed, plometrics, power, flexibility, stamina and endurance. We mainly work on endurance by Interval training.
@federeriscol Yeah, interval training really works. Using anaerobic systems to build aerobic capacity. Very effective without losing power, strength, speed, etc which happens with too much aerobic training.
The cardio is real nice, but what I thought was impressive is the focus you need. Not zoning out and losing rhythm for that long is an achievement bro!
@cory108 Thanks Cory! You're spot on. One slight slip and you trip. Double-unders force you to maintain a pretty high pace. If you falter even for a split second, the rope catches.
@82Bdog Thanks a lot! No, this was at the end of my workout. I like to be thoroughly warmed up for these. When I'm fresher I tend to trip before I can hit 150!
What a number, James! I don't think I can do 200 singles, can't even think of doubles. Skipping always puts my heart and lungs on fire, gasping for air. I gotta set goals for this one, too. Thank you for posting another inspirational video.
