jesus christ, have you seen how much a goldtouch costs? you break a keyboard into two halves and it adds an extra £180. what a stupid gimmick, i bet she was paid lot to say that.

Economies of scale. Microsoft can afford to sell it's keyboard for a very low price because the enormous volume of sales makes the fixed costs less significant.

Goldtouch seems to be a boutique brand. Selling low numbers of expensive products to a niche market. Perhaps enterprise clients or people suffering from RSIs.

I bought a Goldtouch keyboard after watching this video for my home. I cannot use my standard keyboard at work anymore. What an amazing keyboard!
