rip dr clark you done what god called you to do my life will never be the same for you set a standard for all preachers to live by i,ll see you dr. on the other side
Had the chance to meet him in person a few years back. What he said was true: "A Call To Ministry IS A Call To Preparation!" Men of this generation AND the next who are called into the preaching ministry NEED to remember this and DO IT! The torch has been passed.
I never heard of him till today while researching African-American Churches. I will listen to his sermons on YouTube.
Unfortunately, most folks in Canada have no personal experience with African-Americans.
I invite all interested to come and live in or visit Canada, to share with us your unique Christian walk, that we might be blessed thereby. May your beloved Pastor rest in peace.
Dr. Clark will go down in history as one of the greatest if not the greatest preacher-teacher-leader-pastors of all time! I had the pleasure of witnessing him bring the walls down in 8 minutes at Paradise BC in Los Angeles. Dr Manuel Scott Sr. introduced him as the PREACHINEST PREACHER THAT EVER PREACH A PREACH. Take your rest SIR.
I heard him on the radio preaching about the ISNESS of God while addressing the Baptist Convention. "This is the day the Lord hath made...Only God can make a day".
Has anyone heard that one? I wish that was on Youtube.
R.I.P. I heard Dr.Clark here in Houston about 13 years ago. He preached a message entitled "A LETTER FROM HELL" he preached about 8 minutes, and he said more in 8 minutes than I heard some guys say in 45 minutes. He was basic and straight to the point, he was'nt using any Hebrew or Greek he just preached the text and took his seat.
RIP Pastor Clark. You will be greatly missed. You have been a blessing to so mnay for so long. You are and always will be remembered as one of the greatest oritors of the gospel of all time. Good Street Baptist Church and the world is a better place due to you and your peaching of the gospel.
