i also tried the website u listed and tried downloading Malwarebytes Antimalware on my friends computer. and then tried to copy it on a flash drive and then onto my computer. this did not help! :(

i tried looking at the files to remove manually too but couldnt file the files! pls help! im stuck!

you don't need any of this

just ctrl alt del and end process first

then go to program files and delete the entry

finally run lots of antivirus stuff to pick up the remains

The best time to scan your pc, is as soon as you realize that you got the virus. At this point, you should disconnect from internet, in case the virus rogue updates itself to download more viruses, or in case the virus changes internet browser settings. After scanning once goto safe mode and scan again the whole pc, using all of these:

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

SUPERAntiSpyware

ComboFix

SmitFraud

Avast

Some detect viruses better than others, so best to use all of them.

Plz be careful when writing msgs. SmitFraud is the spyware (like you have typed) and SmitFraudFix is the anti-spyware. If someone downloads SmitFraud based on your comments he/she is in big trouble

I used:

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and

SUPERAntiSpyware

they work to get rid of the virus, but combofix is probably the best. Some of the symptoms of this virus are:

the virus makes folder options disabled

the virus makes regedit disabled

the virus prevents installing proper anti virus

the virus creates TMP files as hidden files in Windows folder

the virus redirects you to different sites, when on a search engine.

The virus slows down your computer

i have tried installing programs, running a system restore, deleting files/folders/ect, absolutely everything and watched every one of these videos, and nothing works. my problem seems to be that i need to be the administrator, which i am, but that account is infected and when i try to go on it, my computer shuts off because that is what this virus does, attacks the admin. Please, if there is anything else that i can do, i'd apprecciate the help, im so desperate and i dont know what else to do!

No. Taskmar.exe is the process that runs your taskmanager

Simply doing a System Restore worked for me.

try using the Malwarebytes Antimalware, it is a free software and might solve your problem

I got it this 'mourning' (Bad pun).

I found that doing a system restore merely and hour from when it is first installed seems to do the trick (Haven't had any problems yet) So people who get infected with it should at least give 'System Restore' a shot if they can't rid it manually. Hope this helps for all you poor peeps..
