u dont need a whammy bar to do solo, tom actually did song with gibson lp (like urs) and he detuned his low E, watch the original fire video and ull see also the little riff in between chorus and replay of intro doesnt hav an effect, also use a wah not whammy for solo, but anyway good job working with wat u had, good cover

you cant do it without a whammy bar just twist the tuning peg of the low E like tom does in the music video
