@leeza2007 Isn't he? That's what I immediately thought! Nice, plump, healthy, strong lad! And absolutely adorable! What a cute baby. RIP Max. What a gorgeous dog. Thank you for sharing this beautiful memory!
I wanna keep a male pup from our females litter, but i am worried if he will become dominant and agressive. Any tips to avoid such problems in a male rottie?>
@horaaliya I don't have any advice on that subject. Max was a rescue and so is our current rottie Dozer. Max was in a home with children when we got him. Dozer was taken in as a stray and was in a pound for 2 months. He was rescued by Beth at Kodi's Club and fostered for 3 months (with 9 other rotties and a pitbull) before we adopted him.
Personally I will never buy from a breeder. There are too many needy animals out there who deserve love and a good home. Good Luck to you.

Beautiful pup, sorry for your lose. We had to put our 12 year Rotti down on 6/23/10. They are amazing dogs and give so much back to us. Check out my page to see a video of him. God Bless
I hate how certain breeds get a bad reputation because of the way humans have wrongly raised some of them. No dog is naturally evil! I think this video is proof that when raised properly in a balanced home, any dog can be the perfect balance of protective and loving.
it's amazing how rottweilers have that motherly instinct to know to be careful and gentle around babies and little children, they really are one of the most parently loving dog breed who are very protective. so cute.
My fiance and I have two rottweilers and can't wait to add some human babies into the mix. Watching videos like this make me so excited to start our family :)
Thank you very much for your comment. Congratulations on your engagement and future marriage. Rotties are wonderful. Even though Max has a WONDERFUL and mellow tempermant, we followed Ceasar Milan's recommendations for establishing the baby as a pack leader...as soon as he came home...even before he came home. We aren't sure it was needed, but always wise to use caution...and set up a great relationship from the start! They are great friends. Good Luck with everything!

Not the best option? You have to judge ANY dog, regardless of breed, on it's temperament with children. That statement perpetuates a stereotype about Rotties and other so called bully breeds. That stereotype is a death sentence for rotties and other breeds who don't get adopted in shelters because of a bad rap. Not cool. Max has never once acted in an agressive or unkind manner towards Lucian (now almost two) or anyone else. JUDGE EACH DOG IN
This was a reply to a person who said Rotties are not the best option for those with children. I thought my response should be kept up...for any others who feel similarly. The author of the negative remark, did apologize and said their father recently have a bad experience. Anyway, thank you for looking!
yeah a pomeranian killed a baby. Those dogs are small and can do damage. Judging a dog by it's breed is basically saying "because this dog is black and brown and large, it's aggressive". ACTUALLY, you have more problems with smaller dogs, as they tend to get away with more things.
adorable, rotties are one of the best dogs with babies/kids. When I was a baby my rotty let me ride his back, he has like a older brother. We played everyday
I appreciate your taking the time to comment. It is hard to believe that was a year ago already...Max is doing great...his only problems are Lucian trying to ride him like a horse now...Lucian telling him to Go lay down...or to COME...lol. They actually get along great. The feeling of love in mutual. Max loves the extra attention...treats...and being in the middle of it all...especially while we are playing cars. Then Lucian says..."Map (can't pronouce the x) play a little bit?" Thanks again!
Wonderful !! I love Lucian's expression when Max is scratching his ear. Then Max brings a toy over for them to play with. That's so sweet, and so much like our sweet rottweiler Fwnkenstein. I can't believe how clean your house is!! Best of luck with Max's condition and everything.
Thank you for taking the time to make a sweet comment. I love the name Fwnkenstein...very cool. Rotties are the best for sure! Max is my first, but will not be my last. It is amazong to watch this video a year later, so MANY changes. Max is doing FANRTASTIC...whatever we are doing is working "Map"(that is what Lucian calls him) aka Max is doing great! Thanks again!!!
I am pleased to say that Max is doing awesome. He is on a Grain Free Diet (Nature's Variety Instinct), Prednisone, Chinese Herbs, and Fish Oil. We cannot afford to have the tumor removed, but I think it is shrinking. He had lost a lot of weight (35 lbs) and has since gained it ALL back. He is healthy and happy! Thank you to everyone who has made comment.
Hello, Thank you for the sweet comments. The music is by Patrick Street I think. If you search his name only three or four songs come up...I am sorry I forget the name. I found it by searching the You Tube music under celtic. Thanks again...Khymn, Lucian, and Max:)
Thank you for your kind comments. So true,..Rotties are wonderful dogs...it is all in the owner...and how they were raised. He is so tender and loving to Lucian...and takes a lot of "abuse". Lucian crawls over him...steps on him...Max could care less... like a rock...he stays just where he is. Max has never even raised a lip towards Lucian. Lucian in return is sweet to him to with the aye-yeyes when he pets him gently. They are quite a pair...I should get a more recent clip up...soon. :)be well
Loved your video! sorry about Max I sure know how it feels to loose a beloved pet. Thank you for putting this up, This will show people Rotties are not bad dogs. They are great dogs! a little slobberish but gotta love it!
Thank you...that was nice. We unfortunately just found out that our Max has thyroid cancer...numb and devastated. He is a senior and it is aggressive...so we are pursuing acupuncture and herbs...love my rottie boy.
Sorry to hear that! We have a 15 y/o lab who could die anyday, its sooo heartbreaking to watch b/c he is declining so fast. There is even a huge change since Christmas, He just stares at a blank wall into nowhere and doesn't even seem like himself anymore. Very, very sad.
My husband always makes me feel better when he points out that he has had a GREAT life for a dog compared to some and pretty long for a lab also. Regardless of when, its always so sad to lose a doggie!
Great song. Music For A Found Harmoneom. I love it.
