  • This girl has talent, she does, she can sing but she's got to find her own thing. Abba inmortolized this song and 30 years later it's still great, you can try to sing it, but you can't equal it or improve what Agetha did so so many years ago,

  • Equis! No tiene una voz impresionante, se ve que tiene técnica, pero algo falta, como estilo o feeling

  • What's with the clapping of hands during the performace? It's a highly dramatic song and the audience are turning into a kindergarten playground song

  • Oh J'aime encore plus Tina ♥

  • The volume could be better!

  • tina arena is so beautiful, so sexy and so talented. she really took it all.

  • Wonderful cover of ABBA,performed by Tina Arena!Well done,Tina!

  • I can't even watch this because the producer Of the video is high on speed or has had 100

cups of coffee. How many freaking camera angles do they have to keep switching to????? Focus on the singer, god!

  • @amexred lol. yeah, you do have a point.

  • She did a good job, but watching her and Faith Hill (who butchers this song) makes me realize how great a singer Agnetha was. Almost all singers have difficulty hitting the high notes smoothly and with confidence as Agnetha did. It also annoys me when a singer just tries to imitate Agnetha instead of putting their individual mark on it.

  • @hummarstra The main thing is Agnetha never had to perform the song live, and her immaculate performance is partly to do with Bjorn & Benny's production. This is the best cover version, closely followe by Johanna's.

  • Adorei.

  • grande chanteuse, grande simplicité, j'adoooooore

  • Well for me Tina is the best!

  • Good, but nobody can top Beth Leavel in Mamma Mia on Broadway. The emotion and vocal power are incredible, because Leavel doesn't even look like she's trying to get the power notes.

  • all i can say is that TINA is more beautiful than AGNETHA..... Like her LIPS....

  • Very beautiful women!

  • She is australias. mariah carey

    only she has more class

  • 3:37 she's about to cry.

  • Tina Arena pulls off every cover version she's ever done..

    incredibly powerful voice.

    i love this beautiful woman.

  • quelle simplicité, quel talent quelle beauté

  • what a singer!

  • Fuck! I love you Tina, You're amazing!!!!!!!!

You always make me cry with your performances!

  • Fantastic. No-one will ever replace the Abba original but this is simply stunning> Rock on Tina.

  • so much in love with this version of tina arena, thank you for singing this song help to get away from all the pain every time i heard this song

  • she is original. and that is the point

  • I am sorry, she sings it well but. NO. This song is impossible to sing, if your name isn`t Agnetha Fältskog. Sorry

  • In my opinion this singer basicly spoiled original version of this song. Agnetha is an unrepeatable singer. To sing her songs is all the same to press out that product you mentioned. Get it!

  • poor you! hauauhahu POOR YOU!

  • She's perfect!!!

  • Just to clarify about Tina's name - quote from an interview on ABC Talking Heads program "My full name is Filippina Lydia Arena. I was called Pina for short. Of course, Pina Arena was not an incredibly elegant name for TV. John Young was actually the gentleman who suggested to my family and myself in the '70s to change the P to a T. I spent a total of seven years on Young Talent Time." Great singer.

If you ever get a chance to see her live - do it. Unforgettable.

  • such a honey !!

  • she simply CAN´T top agnetha in this song!!! this song just BELONGS to agnetha!!!

  • and frida :P

  • cool i love it tina arena rocks

  • SO COOL MAN AND HOPE SHE GOES ON!!!!! I know her real name it's my mums name claire

  • i know shes so cool

  • No, her name is Tina. She has been on Aussie television since she was 6 as part of Young Talent Time and I knoe for fact she didn't have a stage name back then. Fair dinkum OI am sick of idiots on here making shit up to try and sound knowledgable.

  • The sound of the vid is a bit muffled unfortunately but thank you for posting. LOVE TINA!

  • Where is, Tina from? I've never heard of her, she's good!

  • She's from Australia, but lives mostly in France. She's had a fair amount of success around the world. Heaps of vids on here. My favourites are Wasn't It Good, Now I Can Dance and Les Trois Cloche. Check em out!

  • My favorites are Coeur de pierre, Aller plus haut, Ifi was a river, the flame andf heaven help my heart

  • She started singing on an Australian iconic television show called "Talent Time" at the age of 7 and she has evolved into a national treasure of Australia - she has only recently moved over to France her debut French album was in 2005

  • I like Tina very much and this version is good

    but I prefer Abba

  • I just can't understand how it's possible, that everything she touch is a masterpiece. Great.

  • i sing this and i reckon Tina did a great job. its actually a hard song to sing if you have been through the meaning of the song .....as it can really get to you emotionally and stop you in your tracks vocally. Ive heard some shocking LIVE versions and Tina pulls it off pretty good. even better than ABBA MANIA.

  • So weird (in a good way) - a pop star actually SINGING...Wow....

  • how appropriate they have ABBA picture behind.

  • everybody in Moonee Ponds can sing as well as this though, it's nothing to do with extreme talent, dedication and the ability to hold a note better than anyone on earth.

  • Opps typo. should have read. ....Agnetha (with her version)did a brilliant..... Tina and Agnetha both did great things and should be proud of themselves

  • I like it, especially her lower notes which are really melodious and warm. I agree that she really injected a lot of emotion and passion into this song. Its sad when people only see the negative in what is essentially a very solid performance, and if they hadn't heard Agnetha perform the original, would probably like it. If you can't say anything nice.....

  • (for Saxmologist) I agree! To be fare with Tina, she even had the pictures of ABBA at the background. Probably as a sort of tribute or giving respect. I am a fan of Agnetha and only she could best sing it, yet Tina did also her best. Tina also is very pretty!

  • Thank you :). I agree that Agnetha did a brilliant job and like most sings, believe this song is a story, and as long as they don't do a terrible job, why not be able to share their version without derision. Thanks for keeping an open mind, for those people who think Agnetha is the only one yet watch someone else interpretation only to complain are the sorts of the people who knowingly don't like sand but choose to holiday at the beach. thanks for your feedback!

  • Agnetha's lead sing original version will never be topped. Tina did a good job.

  • @meadeser Agnetha will be the best always

  • @meadeser It has been topped. Try listening to Mireille Mathieu's version on Youtube.

  • Good song Good Voice-Weak audio and Video

  • I've been a fan of ABBA for 30 years or more.

Of course Tina is not Agnetha, but she does a good job on this, one of my favorite ABBA songs. She sings it with passion, with emotion and delivers. The negative comments here just show how some people's purpose in live is to critisize and to somehow decrease the joy others feel listening to good music.

Tina, "you go girl", good job.

If any of you have not heard ABBA's version, Just do it, go listen to it.

  • No one can replace ABBA, but Tina did a wonderful job of this one song.

  • Whether your an Abba fan of not,the whole planet knows there's only 1 person who can sing this with true emotion and brilliance.Of course that person is Agnetha from Abba

  • noone is better than the original

  • I prefer Abba or, at least, Samantha Fox, Tina Arena is not for this song. She cries sometime,I don't like that.

  • Bloody fantasic Tina , her voice sent chills down my spine, singing this! And she looked so elegant her too.

  • 04331- I should just tune you out, but I can't until I say this to you... You dreadful worthless little creature without a brain, Tina has a great voice and you are just a jealous leach looking for your next hopeless victim to suck the life out of. Grow up and grow a brain, because your ears can't rationally comphrehend the obvious without a brain. Stretch back your big useless ears and fling yourself into a mental institution for the sake of all on this earth that do have taste in great music!

  • You talk too much and I have to admit you are a dumb ass! listen I don't have to learn from you about music, I told the truth, nothing to jelous about; If I would sing Tina including you would be jelous. You lousy moron, you are just a frog from the pond, u don't even have idea that there could be a massive ocean out their. I feel sorry for you stupid lower IQ'd tiny creature! Up yours! Bottom line:

you know what 80% of the world got bad taste in music and ofcourse you are included!

  • Pefect! Perfect! Pefect! 5 stars! Perfect! 5 stars! Amazing! Incredible! A legend! The best of the best! Gifted! All the above! I love this woman's voice! She is truly blessed!

  • I love Tina Arena, especially her song Je m'apelle Baghdad. But to be honest I like the original ABBA's more than this one.

  • The Abba version will always be number one,it was written for her and she was feeling the words at the time it was written. Also the singer from Abba, was a tremendous vocalist.Tina's timing isn't "off",its different, and that her interpretation of the words and how she would phrase it in a conversation.Tina is able to do because of English being her native tongue unlike ABBA,whose was very different.Tina great vocalist,I think with a great song like this, will always fall short, but still good.

  • the voice of an angel

  • you rock tina!! well done

  • Sorry Friends, but open your ears. This version sounds really poor compared to the Original and you have to compare to it. She shouldn´t take a Masterpiece and sing it like that, its hurting the ears. At least she doesn´t sound like Amanda Seyfried with her terrible vibrata voice

  • oops, i meant vibrato not vibrata....

  • i wish this song will be in her next album SOLAL2 !!

  • Vocally I think Tina Arena is a kick-azz singer. Check out "Chains" or her duet of "No More Tears" with Donna Summer. HOWEVER, i do not like her interpretation of this song as her timing, speed, pausing, punctuation is not in tune with the pace of the song. Vocally she is very very good though.

  • whatever that woman sing'z make'z it GREAT and awesome and every good adjective in the dictionary

  • I think she sings it great! No need to make a complete copy! She is doing it her way! Her voice is lovely!

    :)

    Hilde

  • i really love italian songs and singers they are my fav.. but this... omg ABBA are the 1 and only .. i dont like the interpretation sryyyy

  • love it!

  • I like it !

    Great job !

  • yeh the timing might not be like the original, but have you heard that timbre in the chorus before...yes only a couple of times.

  • There's no need for abuse - I'm a Tina Arena fan I just didn't like this interpretation. I'm sorry if it caused offense because I didn't mean to.

  • Her timing is all off -

  • Its called interpretation moron. The biggest critics are often those with the least amount of talent themselves.

  • Nope, her timing is exactly ON. She's actually more capable than the Abba girls. Tina, in truth, holds back quite a bit and makes it her version - there is no reason to do an exact copy of the Abba version.

  • actually. this tina-person has poor sence of phrasing and her pronounciation isnt that good.

  • do you know anything about music?????

    epic fail by manwiththeemeraldeyes.

  • i knows lots and u just have to listen to her sing to hear the poor phrasing :) and when i listen to her now again i hear a distinct head-tone through her singing. she doesnt support her lower register with her gut.

  • In my opinion Abba 1st than Meryl, if you see or seen the movie the way Meryl sang and acted the song in the movie was amazing. I do agree this young lady can sing.

  • I better like Agnetha singing that song (:

but i still think Tina is good !

  • Sweet Lord... she is amazing ...wow wow wow... Bravo

  • nice song, but the clapping are ruining it all

  • Belíssima interpretação!!!!!

Chegou um pouco perto da Agnetha!!!

  • Horrible rendition.

Agnetha's original is impossible to beat.

  • Though, you have to admit it is better than Meryl Streep's version in the movie! LOL

  • yess, she is wonderful!I love her so much great Tina is the best !!!!!

  • ok l' originale è sempre l' originale pero' che tipa e non canta male

  • ABBA, the good old days

  • Je préfère l'original !!! but belle performance et bel hommage ! merci .

  • wow! she's very beautiful.... she's pregnant here...

    best singer ever... love her...

  • magnifique version de tina arena même meilleur que l'oriinal!!!

  • not one of tinas best.. but she has a brilliant voice even when she was young just look at her farewll from young talent time when she sings macartur park.. so powerfull. just a brilliant performer.

  • this is my best abba song, with the unusual agnetha magic voice

  • nice

  • She is a brilliant singer - but she is PREGNANT here, it does affect the breath!! Be kind people!

  • elle est belle et elle chante merveilleusement bien..que demande le peuple???

  • How beautiful is Tina?

VERY!! And best singer iv eva heard

  • You can hear how hard it is to sing this song when you compare this poor performance with the briljant voice of Agnetha.

  • Great song but poor sound mixing. The orchestra drownings her out. This could have have sounded so much better. I wouldn't mind hearing a studio version of this song by Tina.

  • OMB SHE SUCKS!!!!!!!

  • OMG igneaflaviustimisoar!!!! When did you just get out from the mental hospital??? I am so glad you are ok now!

  • cliche!

  • She needed a whole orchestra to sound half way decent.... she SUCKS!

  • worldlemon, big deal?

  • Pity she didnt record this classic for her Songs of Love and Loss album. It would have fit perfectly.

If she does this live at the opera house in January I will die with joy. Though Agnetha's is the benchmark, she never had to sing it live.

  • I Agree. This song, with Tina's unique touch, would have been perfect for the new album. Hope she chooses to sing it in the live performances.

  • No one can chalange Agnetha

  • but i wanna "chalange" you! You are even stupid just by typing it wrong!

  • Absolutely fantabulous performance from the amazing Tina Arena. If anyone was going to cover this great song perfectly it would be the woman singing it in this video.

  • Sometimes during the performance it is almost as if she is channelling Agnetha...a brilliant job on a classic..

  • tina is good AGNETHA is GREAT

  • Absolutly amazing !!!!! Tina always impresses me ! We can see she really feels the song, and she's very touched by it... Moreover, I love her dress :D FOREVER TINA !

  • wow>>the best thing amaze me was ABBA big picture of ABBA at the back......but Agnetha is very far from her,,their voice......but she is pretty huh??

  • good, but I believe this song only Agnetha Faltskog and nobody else! This is an autobiographic song, when Agnetha sung this, she was really in pain, short after the divorce, tired of everything, ABBA was close to their end and these songs were beautiful!

  • Agree. This is a song that is very much an ABBA song and nobody actually can come close to their level of performance. Nobody will make it better nor equaly well as ABBA. Agnetha was actually extraordinary with this song.

  • sun074, as if! as if! as if! shuu shuu! ABBA ginoo!

  • 65unlimited, if you don't want anybody singing this song and why you're here?! Nobody needs to know your opinion!

  • Tina has brilliant voice but her one-beat 'pause' before every line is quite annoying.

Her performance of 'live for the one you love' from hunchback of notredame is outstanding check it out if you havent already.

  • I agree

  • I totally agree Skippybartalozzi - magnificent and she looks so beautiful as well - what a great dress. I've always loved Tina.

  • WOW..the best abba cover version I have ever heard !!!!

  • muy linda interpretacion de tina

tambien les recomiendo la adaptacion de filippa giordanoooooo es asombrosooooooooooo

  • Tina Arena is Forever !

  • Magnifique!!

Standing ovation every time for the lovely Tina<:)

  • Bewdiful

  • beautiful

  • its aussie slang......

  • amazing woman!

  • when was this done?

  • It was on 2/2006 on a French t.v. show called "Symphonic show"

  • Tina arena...Reigning still!!!

  • What a beautiful version! Tina is one of the few artists who can cover a song & make it all her own!!

  • I agree - Tina gave it a very personal touch of her own.
