    CHUNK

  • yay! I love chunky dunk :) thanks for making this video!

  • thank you! I KNOW YOU!!! hehe we met in the psu women's resource center a number of years ago. I worked there until I got fired. :(

  • I think this is such a great event for body conscious people.

  • Thanks for reminding me that I should go swimming more often...

  • Aww, Sounds like such a positive event, wish there was something like that around here, I still probably wouldn't be able to get up the nerve to put a bathing suit on, but it seems well worth the five dollars.:)

  • Enjoy diabetes? Hmmmm that makes no sense. Your movies suck as well HisRoyaldumbness! It's too bad some people are so uneducated! Maybe America could stop putting so much money into the war and a little more into the education system. Just a little food for thought!

  • Ahhh that is them English bastards for you, thinking they are so ahead of the time yet they still bow to one ruler... Guess that is why you never made it to being one of the worlds super powers... Freedom from singular rule, bitch... Deal with it. ;)

  • Hey long time no see... Still in Job Corps but on Vacation... Thought last time when I said I was back it was for good but not yet... Wanted you to be my first comment though for my time back. lol

  • Seneka!!!! Yay!!! When are you coming back for good???? I have totally missed you and wondered where you were! Thanks for the comment. What are you doing in the Job Corps? I can't wait until you come back for good!!! :) hugs, :) kristin

  • Missed you too, soon I hope... I am estimating about two to three months from now. ;)

  • That "It's four fourty-five" voice was creepy! lol It would be cool if they had a "chucky dunk" in my area.

  • yeah, I always forget to turn off the clock voice when I make videos hehe. oops. I know, I totally wish they had chunky dunks everywhere! they are so awesome!

  • Yo from PDX!

  • Yo back to a fellow PDXer! Hiya! :)

  • Aw Shucks ;) Rock on!

  • Hello Kiki! I like it when you say "Chunky Dunk".

That's as adorable as your eyes are! :-)

  • hehe. thanks! :) I like saying chunky dunk too...I think it sounds cute! hehe

  • rich and famous need to be painted! I thought her picture was stunning and admiral just as i think Kristen is for posting all of her videos! She's making a stand for all people to express themselves, whether it be weight, psychological problems, or everyday stuff that society has told us not to talk about or to be ashamed of. She is a remarkable woman. It's truly unfortunate that some people live in a bubble.

  • Why thank you Karazona! And I agree. I heard about the Jamie Lee Curtis thing too and she was awesome. There is just no possible way that real people can be 2D images. And I agree that the whole idea of what is or isn't "healthy" is being used to uphold discrimination and hate against entire populations of people. It is horrible.

  • I've been reading all the comments on here and already responded to one, but I can't help myself. Something that really sparked my attention a while back was Jamie Lee Curtis. She was asked to pose for a magazine and she had one request, that she not be air brushed, painted, or be subjected to make up. As for anything else, she was up for it! It was so controversial! Why? Society has created an image for people, even Curtis. That image is so hard to obtain that even the glamorous,

  • Come on Ronni15! It's not respectful to ask personal questions like this. This video is not about whether being fat is healthy/desireable etc., but about treating other people with some respect and sensitivity.

  • do you try to lose weight? I have nothing against fat ppl but It's like you ppl just give up and say hey I'm fat and I'm ALWAYS going to be fat.

  • Do you know that over 98% of people who lose weight will eventually regain the weight and usually gain back more within five years time? Do you know that yo-yo dieting is worse for you than being fat? What do you think...that I've been fat my entire life and never tried to lose weight? That is pretty dumb to think. Why do you say "you people" as if I am some non-human person. It is the same as saying "you Jews" "you Blacks" etc. Completely derogatory.

  • Chunky dunk is a great idea, and good for you publicising it! I wish people would stop making offensive remarks about fat people and then trying to disguise their prejudices as "health concern."

  • True but you gotta admit there is risk to all excesses not just weight any like smoking, drinking, gambling can be harmful. But you're right the world should accept your so-called-by-others hindrance and let you and others find balance and health on one's own.

  • YES-I strongly agree with above statement. Very well said.

  • Hmm. I was responding to lysasndra74 and it got posted under realar. Oh well. I think all diffferent healthy body types are beautiful. The stuff inside the head is interesting too!

  • Thanks for the more detailed explination! I think it's a great idea; although I can't say I'm "body positive" because I haven't accepted MYSELF yet. I love the idea though. Who started it in your area and how did you hear about it? Is it advertised through therapy groups or newspapers, or just at the pool?

  • I think it was started by the woman who runs Fat Girl Speaks which is a show/extravagganza/etc. thing here in Portland. But now I think she has traveled all over with the show. They also do cupcake dances/event for size positivity, but I've never been to that. I found out about it from my women's studies professor! :)

  • Oh yeah, I posted a link up at the top too. There is a chunky dunk website. :) There is also a link to Fat Girl Speaks on the Chunky Dunk website.

  • Did you say queer people? Before you listed everyone.

    Did you draw that? :S

Why didn't you just say it was fat people jumping in a pool?

    Being fat is bad.

  • Being fat is not bad. Being a hate-filled prick IS bad. :P

  • Shut up shallow person- only the fat on the belly if not pregnant is bad, you are the reason why a large chunk of this society is commiting suicide, suffering through anorexia, and people gain excess pounds. Because of your evil thin is the only way routine, why not give this beautiful woman some compliments about her heart and stop being so dang shallow!!

  • Sorry for being so mean. Of course you think fat is bad, because you are brainwashed to think that. It isn't your fault. Yes, I said queer people and yes I did draw that on my computer. But you shouldn't go around saying being fat is bad, because it is simply not true.

  • Uh, first of all there's no need to get hostile. And no, I don't think being 80 pounds and 6 feet tall is healthy. Brainwashed? Once again, this isn't even a superficial issue with me, it's one of health. At least it's not superficial in the respect of super models and what not, I know what photoshop is.

Um, it's bad for your health, are you really going to try and debate that?

I was just curious if you drew it :D.

  • I was just clarifying that, wasn't entirely sure what you said, I heard it the second time around though. Are all of those other people fat? Or were you just randomly naming traits that people had as well as being fat? :S

(For some reason "before you listed everyone" makes it sound like I'm implying you have some sort of favoritism :D, I was just clarifying where it was you said that in the video...er..nvm)

  • Eh, I need to lost some weight myself, not anything near triple digits. And yes, part of it is superficial. If you have body image issues do something about it, as long as it isn't harmful.

  • If you actually look into the studies there is no definitive proof that being fat alone is bad for your health. In addition, most of the studies are funded by the weightloss industry which have a sizable amount to lose if people quit buying into their hype. Even if being fat was bad, that doesn't mean that fat people deserve to be treated like second class citizens.

  • No. I'm 115 pounds and healthy as a horse.

    you are freaky skinny.

  • Thanks Kristen very wise.

  • Lmao, I didn't mean I was that weight, I was giving an example.

Thought I posted a response to this already :S.

Most people in the medical community would agree that being obese had serious medical consequences. Even if you ignore those there are blatantly obvious advantages to not being obese.

  • Oh. Sorry. Anorexia and Bulimia has bugged me that's all. It's just that the media has hurt too many people and gave them views about themselves that hurt, if you are obese and it is leaving complications I apologize for my bickery. Standing up for what I believe to be a wise philosophy unknowingly has wrongfully accused.

  • I'm personally a pretty average weight size. Relative to my height of course.

To be honest there are two extremes, the super model one, and the morbidly obese one.

  • Also, I have to say this, what the fuck? Seriously, unless you fucking read retarded magazines and watch like Tyra Banks, then uh??? I really don't see how the media does this, give me some examples (Besides 'super models'. And no, quite a few people don't lust after 200+ pounds overweight women, you kind of lose any form and figure around that level :P.

Eh, if you plan on weighing a ridiculous amount, buy 2 plane seats. Or 3.

O, and diabetes sure hasn't been linked to weight. /sarcasm

  • There are plenty of people in the world who lust after fat people. You just happen to be very close-minded. If you look at the issue of weight from a multi-cultural perspective and from different time periods, you will see that mainstream society's ideas about weight are purely about the time and place that we live in. They have no basis in reality whatsoever. Perhaps the medical community thinks a certain way about weight, but that doesn't mean that they aren't prejudiced too.

  • So you want a few examples of how society and the media go against being over weight? Get off your computer and turn on the news. What size are the weather people. What size are the reporters. What size are the people in all the commercials. I will send you a list if you would like more!! The media plays off the people it's advertising too! They don't just do it for weight! If you would also like a list of those ways, I'd be more than happy to send them to you!

  • I said quite a few who don't. Look at the wording please. Folds ftl.

Yes, back in the day being fat was considered good, you know...before modern medicine...

With that argument I could say in this "time period" it's considered bad. Lol.

The simple truth you have to face is there's no point to being fat. Enjoy denial.

I can't wait until people start playing the fat card...o weight (Yes, that was intentional)...I think they already do... :D.

O, and I can run faster than you.

  • Seriously, buy two seats. If you can afford to overeat you can afford two seats.

...it baffles me, why haven't Christians started their crusades against fat people? It's against the Bible (Like everything else).

I love it when people start calling each other closed minded, it just means they're upset because they won't subscribe to their way of thought :D.

  • O, and Karazone140, first of all fuck you, I'll get my news where I please. Second of all, Al, fucking, Roker, you lose. There are plenty of fat people on TV, and they get a shitload of time on screen.

  • Al Roker was commissioned to loose weight and payed to do so, but you can still win since you have some strange addiction to posting comments on "fat videos". Seriously, get a new hobby and a life. Keep shining winner!

  • I happened upon this video by chance, I sure didn't go looking for it.

    O, and enjoy diabetes.

  • You ARE a normal person! It's the haters of this world who are so closed minded. Normal covers such a wide range. Don't narrow your definitions or your horizons.

  • although i saw trans go there i have nothing against them they are just confusing to me- what do u think? do you think sex change is a total change, i sure dont think so- its a mad idea.

  • It's not a change to a trans person. Its a correction. It would only feel like a 'change' to a person who felt they were born in the right body to begin with.

  • Correction?! No way! If they were a real hermaphrodite i'd understand (although if they stayed like that that would be an interesting anatomy), but if they were born a pure gender at first that's what they were meant to be. Destiny. You can't mess with it, besides what they become is not even close to the real thing. All they are frankenstein retaining their true gender in their soul. Surgery don't satisfy.

  • "they were born a pure gender at first that's what they were meant to be" - says who? You? And how many transgendered people have you befriended? How many have you LISTENED to before trying to persuade them of your own views? You can't know what another person feels. Only what YOU feel.

  • Bah! Understand they can never be the gender they so-called have to be. If they feel so out their own gender why not be a tomboy or gay only for that's what GOD meant them to be. Gender simulation surgery is a new invention, why can't they be thankful with what they got. What is the draw? They will never have kids, their anatomy is not the same of their intent, they are not a regular human. I'm sorry but surgery CANNOT make a man or woman, it can't be done.

  • Actually, trans people are probably just becoming who they are deep down biologically. Like everyone who was ever born starts out female and then the hormones change people into males. So it is probably the case that trans people had an unusual migration of hormones and other stuff during their formation in utero. The difference between being male and female is not really as black and white as it appears.
