How you ever tried the Bates Durashocks or Bates Ulitra Lites or 5.11 ATAC? Because I am a Police Cadet and I need to buy boots that I can polish and I will be standing on my feet for 8 hours sometimes so I wan ta boot that is comfortable breathable good traction and wears good.
I had an emergency where I had to break out a window and enter a house..after I broke out the window I got in the window frame area and had to jump 3 or 4 feet down, well there a shard of glass that I landed on and this shard easily passed through this boots sole and into my foot effectively nailing my foot to the boot..so they kinda suck in the field..just to be honest
@shoopdawhooperful lol no, I'm a first responder in a city within a city type layout aka a very very large piece of property with many apartments and the people range from simple elderly to farking insane! in any event the incident in question was a heart attack called in to us by 911..the victims door was locked so in threw the window I went! look these boots LOOK ok but fall short of... well, to be honest they fall just short. not that impressed at all with them. not great in the field
I have been selling boots only 4 years now but I have found that boot has a longer lace to accomidate the magnum rapid entry zipper kit . As for the rubbing in the back you may have a half size to big. also you should chek out the bates c3 sole i think it would be better for you needing the breatability n all.
Many boots have some fitting problem unless the boot matches the foot perfectly. An easy remedy for that problem, the back piece problem with this boot model, plus the problem with stickers is to wear two common socks or a pair of thick winter socks on each foot.
For the record, they're kinda awesome in snow. We just got hit with a storm at the beginning of the week. They dry like a champ and the traction is pretty excellent.
Everyone seems to complain about the backpiece. Hopefully a fieldtester will come up with a fix. Nevertheless, I'm still planning on getting myself a pair.
Forget these and buy 5.11 ATAC! You can't go wrong with ATAC. I've seen too many negative reviews on Magnum boots.

was doing other readings while listening to the review, is it just me or it sounds like listening to Solid Snake talking about boots.

Magnum Classic CEN boot, how well do they preform in an Arctic Environment?

@Blazetwoe I can't comment on what I don't own. Also, I live nowhere near an arctic environment.
