Due to a family emergency I've not been on YT much the last 2 weeks so have missed much of your return but it's good to see you back, and as soon as I catch up on Lost (hopefully this weekend) I'll be checking out some of your review videos.
As I'm sure we have said before, with YT to keep it fun just mix things up. There's nothing wrong with doing the occasional video that does take a lot of editing/production but personally I'm trying to balance that with a few quicker videos.

I agree about the production. Part of me really misses spending more time on the quality...I know I'll go back to that, it's something I def respect of ppl like you! Keeping the balance is key! SEE you soon! :)
With so many of my subs posting videos like this that week, it really felt like the old days (but with a slightly different cast and crew). I hope we all continue to do this as well. I still love this form of communication! :)

I make very basic videos by choice. Sometimes the lighting isn't so great, nor the sound but what you get is just the unadulterated me. It's not pretty, but it can still be fun.
YouTube rapidly becomes like a full-time job with overtime if you don't watch out :)
I didn't become popular, so for me the interactions became the focus sooner than if I would have been featured and gained hundreds of subscribers overnight... Still, it took a good year before those interactions started taking off when I began commenting on everything I watched... Good lighting and composition have never been my prime focus either. I just don't feel right if I'm not making and posting videos.

it was definitely inspiring to see so many ppl start vlogging again. and i also appreciate all the interaction with vid responses and comments i've been seeing. definitely makes me feel more connected which is when i think the youtube is at its best. i look fwd to seeing more vids and hopefully i'll keep at it too. cheers to you, gary!
Question: Have you ever read up on dream symbolism and tried to apply that to Lost? I've only seen one episode of the show, but I am getting my Masters in Literature right now, and it seemed like that could be interesting.

I tend not to watch too much TV nowadays but I'm really looking forward to Lost :) A few days ago The Nature Conservancy calendar that I ordered arrived, Beth had talked about it in one of her vlogs, but at first I debated if I should get it since I usually receive lots of calendars every year. I'm really glad that I bought it though. The photographs are amazing; can't pick which one I like the most. Hope that you'll get together again for a 2011!

Back to basics is good. But, yeah, making a vlog a day is hard enough, but watching a vlog a day by a dozen different people requires some serious insomnia or a lack of employment.
I enjoy volgs. But, I must say that the lost video with ocurt was extra fun because of how excited you goth were. That excitement always captures me as well. So, I'll look forward to more exciting 'guest stars"! ;-)

You can ask, although I'm only at liberty to talk about certain things. But for what it's worth, there's barely any money involved with being a YT partner at my level. Like pennies a day, literally!

I asked for (and received) a flip cam for this specific purpose. One month later, I have yet to make a vlog using that flip cam. Quite lame.
