This will always be the best Splinter Cell for me. Conviction took an entirely new direction and ditched the great gameplay that made Splinter Cell so popular. I enjoy playing it, and it's a fantastic game, but it's just nothing like the other Splinter Cell games.

Chaos Theory became hardcore in every aspect: single player, Co-op, multiplayer, good soundtrack on every stage, mission/stage layout, and gameplay. Double Agent was good, but it didn't quite click with people the way they were expecting. I, too, while enjoying Double Agent, felt a bit backtracked. plus, with the last-gen and current-gen consoles, while the stories were the same, they kinda split the hardcore feel by explaining the story in 2 different ways, imo.

Double Agent was one of the biggest fails i ever saw in video games

and Convitction sucks too ( from what i saw in gameplay videos)...

I just miss the good old stealth game :D

@swudeft I haven't played Conviction, but it seems like a pretty cool game, and the CO-OP, I'm pretty sure you would like, but then again, it's Co-op meaning you would need another person to play in that mode (Not cool Ubisoft). I do agree with you on double agent, what the fuck is up with the "Green Light, Red light, Yellow light" crap?? They should have just kept in the light and sound meters but they were too stupid to keep it going. That game fails for sure, Chaos theory is the best.

Conviction will be very different from previous games. I don't mind that (you can only do the same thing for so long, and the new gameplay looks very fun), but don't expect a similar experience to the other games.
