You guys have no idea. The names of Krishna are sooo powerful that even chanting them as a joke could turn you into real Krishna Lovers!! Those names have done unbelievable things to me... good luck, guys!
You're right Edelweiss. I never thought I would chant the Hare Krishna Mantra as a devotion, but one day I thought I'd try it for the heck of it. THEN, I understood. The power and love of the mantra woke me up. Yes, this mantra is VERY powerful. The fact these guys are even chanting it tells me that they have some karmic link with it.
Once, A friend was doing the same thing - making fun of Hare Krishnas. Then one day he actually met some. Guess what? He later became a Hare Krishna!
I couldnt tell if they were mocking the maha manta or not once they began to sing. they seemed pretty into it.
