I had the same teacher for about 4 years and every year she would unblock youtube and show us this video on remembrance day :)

And we always took exactly two minutes of silence to just remember

that was in grade 2-6

now im almost in highschool and i still watch this video every remembrance day and take two minutes at exactly 11 o'clock

Every time I hear this song, I burst into tears. All of my family have fought in the army at one point or another. I have lost alot of family members. Right now, I am balling my eyes out. I am currently a member of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets as a Flight Corporal and I am required to attend Remembrance Day every year. But I don't do it because I have to. I do it because I want to. The men and women who gave their lives in the past current wars are doing so so we may be free. God bless those soldiers, both dead and alive, fighting for our freedom. If you ever see someone in a military uniform, say thank you because they are keeping you safe. Once again, God bless them.

As an Air Cadet, I'm simply appalled to see some of my civvie friends' thoughts on Remembrance day. Do they not realize that it is not simply just a day they can sleep in, a long weekend, a holiday to just pass on by like Christmas or Easter? If only they knew just how much pain the men and women of this country fought, and still are fighting so hard to keep the luxuries we know today available as they are. I think for our school Remembrance day presentation, we'll march in to this song.
