he i have a question, i have magix music maker, wich i can use to for video's.

the thing is, i want to do a voice over on a serie but i don't know how to cut out the original voice and to replace it with my voice. and, i want to keep the original sounds (like spasses and music thing) to be still there

i hope you can help me out!

@ebony76 the new intro was done on the macbook. I literally just took the start of a trailer and used it. My old intro where the pictures slide in and then the northern life thing spins out...that was done on magix movie edit pro.

@alexandertsp Plus comes with extras. Check the difference between the two on the website. Plus obviously comes with more goodies I just don't know what it comes with. I just bought pro.

@Skavaen okay so i have no experience at all with video editing, voice over, music editing, etc. I want to video tape various things and then do a voice over throughout the whole video and also add music softly in the background. I have Song Vegas Pro 9....how far will that get me? Do i need to buy additional software to do voice over and cutting and pasting music onto my edited videos?

@Skavaen Thank you Ok now i have another problem. How do you do Video transitions effect? I see everyone doing video, audio tuturial. On the top of the program, under the buttom Effect, there are only video, audio, title ... effect but i dont see transtions effect, only see Fade out effect under effect libraries.

There are many video transitions effect in window movie maker like spin out spin in slide up fan out shatter etc...

@ThisIsDream drag the first clip over the second clip and you will see an A/B thing appear...click on there and then chose the video transition you want to use.

That Magix Movie Pro looks pretty good! Looks easy, too. I've been trying to find a easy to use editing software with a lot of features other than Pinnacle Studio. I tried Sony Vegas and I got confused pretty fast.

How much does that Magix stuff cost?

@WillieWonka928D I tried pinacle...I didn't like it too much. I tried sony vegas and I guess the copy I had was broken or something because it crashed all the time. I got magix and couldn't look back. Magix is about 100 bucks off their site. Rex bought a copy from Ebay and he is having issues with it...I always recomend buying software from the source rather then used.

@WillieWonka928D I've used Pinnacle, and the only thing I can say is that it's a pain in the ass. I've had a bit of experience with Final Cut, and love it, but the two down sides to it are that it costs an arm and a leg, and is only for Mac. When I was screwing around painfully with Pinnacle, I had someone recommend Windows Movie Maker, or whatever it is, for ease of use, but you've probably already tried that.

@gogmorgoaway I love final cut as well but like you said..the software is expensive and macintosh computers are very expensive making it an expensive purchase to make just to edit youtube videos. This is why I like magix. its powerful and cheap. two things I really enjoy

trying to import video from my camera but only the video goes through ..... no audio ???? know why ??

@rex4x4 it uses the codecs on your computer...if you don't have the right codec then the audio won't transport. Install divx and then download quicktime from apple. Thats what I had to do on my new laptop
