@imsolive89 This is one of the few all Stainless Steel Countertop Water Distillers that are made in the United States. We have also bundled this distiller with a stainless steel water bottle, Still Clean, Extra Post filters and free shipping. Other countertop units are made of plastic that our customer do not prefer. Thank you for your comment.
I wish the condensation tubes were made of glass instead of stainless steel. Also, why would distilled water need to pass through a charcoal filter? Seems like that would reintroduce contaminants potentially from the charcoal and the paper of the filter.
@JSplintable Historically, condensing coils have always been made of stainless steel and I'm not really sure about making them from glass. The postfilter is designed to polish the water of any tastes or odors from the distillation process, and use of the postfilter is completely optional.
@WaterClips Thank you for the reply. I can think of some reasons why water distiller condensing coils are made of stainless steel (efficiency of heat conduction and ease of cleaning, and to a smaller extent fragility of components). I still wish someone would manufacture one made of glass.
Nonetheless, thank you for making an excellent product. These should be finding their way into more and more homes.
@JSplintable Charcoal filter should not add contaminants. If it does, then you have bad quality charcoal and don't use it. It does improve the taste of the water. I made some water without the charcoal and it was not very good. With the charcoal it is the best tasting water I ever had.
I would like to see the boiling chamber after many months of use. I have the side-by-side unit shown in the quick photo at beginning of vid, and the boiling pot is permanently coated with a layer of cement-like material that cannot be removed. but it works fine. i wonder if the boiling coil on this unit gets covered like that.also seems impossible to clean the bottom of the boiling chamber, since the coil blocks it. someone please post pics of a used unit, not a sparkling new one like this.
@334Stitch We highly recommend using a distiller cleaner on a regular basis to prevent your distiller from clogging like Still Clean, Lumen Cleaner, or Kleen Wise. All of these products are all just Sulfamic Acid which dissolves any mineral deposits in your distiller. we have it available at freshwatersystemsdotcom

Counter Distillers are wonderful! All the homes I visited in Europe had one. I have used them since 2000 and would not drink anything else. The oily sludge left in the bottom after it is finished is amazing! I pour it into a jar each use and it is amazing how heavy this gunk is. There are prices for everyone starting at 99.00 online and worth every cent! No more Fluoride, toxins, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or issues with plastic bottled water.
@WaterClips Thanks for the info. I did some research and found a supplier that sells 5 gallon distilled water bottles. I figured.. with the cost of electricity and time, it would probably off set the cost of the 5 gallon water bottles.. distilled is the only way to go..
@TheLegendaryLinx The distillation process just takes a while and you will find that any water distiller will take the same amount of time to generate a gallon of water from boiling the water, the steam to rise, condensate and literally drip into the reservoir. If you need more water at a faster pace, I would suggest reverse osmosis.
what about estrogen and chemo in the tap water..? havent heard much about this contaminents.. anyway from hours of research i think this is the best option..
although they say it strips the body of minerals u can always add them back via supplements.. im just so weary of the lethal poison they call tap water.. !
We bought a distiller for under 150.00 we drink 2 gallons a day, but our health has never been better. Cleaner taste, lighter and more refreshing.... Stays colder too. I recommend going online and buying one... Check out whats left in the bottom too... Thats what you are actually drinking. Its practically poison.
@ibetteru2 Just the distiller sells for $575, but also has a promo pack available. This unit also comes with a carbon post filter which eliminates any bad tastes or odors and does not have any metallic taste. Distillation removes more contaminants than reverse osmosis.
I live in canada, is there anyway for me to get this product.
i have researched all over and this is the only distiller that does what i want. i.e. counter top design, the water doesnt pour through plastic, contaminating it after its been purified. its stainless steel .... but i cant find any Canadian suppliers.
@ultramagnusone the condensing coil and spout are stainless steel, where it falls into to the postfilter tray which is also stainless steel. The post filters is packed into a non-woven material that holds some granular activated carbon that polishes the distilled water. Then it just falls into the glass jar. Plastic lid to the jar goes on after the distillation process is over.
@dkgong The Mini Classic II Water distiller has a draw of 6.9 amps and uses a total wattage of 800 watts. Definitely less expensive than the time, energy, and gas used to pick up distilled water at the store, if you use distilled water on a regular basis.
Yes, the water is pure enough for a pc water cooling kit, but I think the predominance of electronics professionals are using reverse osmosis water that is polished with a mixed bed DI cartridge to remove any conductivity from the water.
@WaterClips I got one that will do 4 gallons of water a day. I HOPE that's enough for me because I drink water all day long. I am paying to much for bottled water and it's not even clean.
I've been using a countertop model called "Waterwise", which is excellent! You'll see it among the photos: It's all white, with a clear carafe on the right-hand side to collect the condensate. Don't be fooled by the white poly- carbonate. The inside of the left resevior w the handle is lined completely with stainless steel, as are the parts of the motor inside. It also takes around 4 hours to make a gallon of distilled water. Mine comes out alkaline! Get a "pool kit" for testing the pH of water.
Does anyone know for sure if it would remove nuclear fallout after a nuclear attack. Although many people might not think this is a serious question, I'm very serious about it. In case people don't know, Pakistan has around 200 nukes that they would love nothing more than to launch at us.
@7777Ralph lol, you should be more worried about the U.S lunching missiles to its own people, but ive heard that distilled water can remove almost all disease and stuff, more info in wki.
I've done a good amount of research and find that this particular distiller is the one I want. I wish it didn't cost so much and, too, wonder exactly what benefits this distiller has over the other ones offered by the same company that are in the $200 range?
@guyNbluejeans I've had a Polar Bear 26D8 For about 15 years. A few years ago I found out that distilled water is bad for the human body. It is very acidic. I picked up a water ionizer (Athena) and the results are much better. I think distilled water contributed to my ill health. I have arthritis head to toe. Research Alkalized water and good luck. Distillers are ok in an emergency and for short term use only. Best Wishes...
I got my from Sears from 200$ stainless steel, since then that is only water I drink. Try to distil nestle bottle water, I have never see more residue from water, tap water has 5 times less.
Distilled water will improve the taste of the rice with all of the contaminants out of it. Rinse the rice with distilled water and let stand for thirty minutes before cooking in a rice cooker. Also use a high quality distilled rice vinegar. Also use a high quality short grain Japanese rice and you are in for a treat.
@WaterClips WOW! You sure know sushi. Use distilled water to rinse rice and then let stand for 30 min before cooking in a rice cooker. Use high quality distilled rice vinegar, high quality short grain Japanese rice.
What kind of sushi you like? Do you like the cooked kind or raw kind? I'm beginning to like you WaterClips. Let's be friends, I have a sushi library in my channel.
Been considering something like this for a while now. Love that it's stainless steel and not cheap looking plastic. I have all stainless steel appiances so if it's going to sit on my counter, it had better match. Thanx for posting.
I dont see why this is worth 600 U.S dollars , the tech is very simple and this could be much cheeper
