@AngLzFaN OH YEAH AMEN BRO WORSHIPING GOD IS AMAZEING!! AND HARVEST CRUSADE WAS MY FIRST TIME GOIN MAN I WAS REALY EXCITED FOR IT.. GOD IS SO GOOD ...
:D ska ska ska!!!! personaly ska must be played in heaven...its too freaking happy!!!! i mean i start busting out laughing even if its not a funny song just because listening to it or playing it just start grinning so big hahahah love it :D:D:D:D:D:D
Well both were great in concert back in the day (can't believe I can say that now). FIF was a whole lot funnier in concert but The Supertones were tighter all around. Never forget when I saw them after the first album came out. I'd been to alot of shows by that point and that was by far the most fun I'd had at a show. Danced like a madman!
I think they were really Christians, and were genuinely true. They stuck together for a long time and there lyrics are awesome. I too am critical of bands who say they are christian, because I have seen quite a few just use that title to get popular and then all of a sudden, they arent Christian. Good question though.
What about Ska Skank Redemption. They don't seem too Christian and never say they are on their website. They are listed in many christian ska band lists though. I thought they were but they were alo playing Streetlight Manifesto songs which I belive is an anti-religious band. I still listen to Streetlight though because the music is incredible.
I dont believe you have to say "I'm a christian" to show your faith. Though if your looking for something that shows their faith or mentions GOD. Their song ADONAI shows their faith among others. ADONAI is one of the names of GOD the father.
the bass player tony grew up directly across the street from me and they practiced 24/7 in his garage, its just weird to see them with music videos and stuff cause i just knew them as a bunch of cool guys who would play basketball with me and frisbee golf and sometimes even baby sit me haha
anyone really know why they broke up??? i've been DDDYYYYIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGGG to know for the past 2-3 years. it never accured to me that i could just ask people. if you do know please shoot a reply to my comment.
first off he wasn't there final drummer. at least i dont think he was. anyways, i am totally jealous of you man!!!!! dang it! i bet you go to church in cali dont you!!! i would love to meet some of those guys! i almost met there ending bassist at a switchfoot concert. he is now their guitar tech. i got to stand next to him like all night!!!! anyways, i am totally depressed thay broke up... o well it was cool getting a reply on this vid. thanks man!
well, ill talk to him about the whole thing and find out the real reason. i think i had heard that from a couple of friends but ill ask him the next time i see him. and by the way....I LOVE SWITCHFOOT THEY ARE MY FAVORITE BAND EVER!!!! Jon Foreman writes the best lyrics ever, well in my opinion, he is so awesome
sweet! thanks man! btw does he have a channel? u should get him to make one. anyways, have u ever heard of the concert "rock the universe"? switch foot was there along with relientk, skillet, group one crew, and a bunch others. the switch foot show was by far the BEST!!!!!!!! and the night after that crazy concert, i went to another switchfoot show in a small little place closer to my house. they played the same songs, but it still rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now sure he has a channel, ill get back to you on, that, if he has myspace or face book ill let you know, ya i went to see switchfoot last september, they were with jars of clay (they got kind of jiped because not too many people were there yet, robert randolph and the family band (he plays a slide guitar, it is amazing) of course switchfoot, (put on the best show there) and then Third day was the las to preform, and they were good too, then they all came back out and did a U2 song
Their manager stole money from them!!! So much that it out them in debt. They did not prosecute this guy either. In fact Spencer, the trombone player says he personally forgave him! Look this up before anyone calls me a liar.
I went to their farewell tour, and they said that God has called them to do other things now. Like "mojo" is now a traveling minister. The other people are either youth pastors are in other bands, stuff like that. They all said they were sad to not be together anymore, but it's the right thing to do. They all left on good terms, hopefully they have a reunion tour soon! I miss them!!!!
I use to watch these guys all the time on an OLDSCHOOL punk show that use to be called "G-Rock!". It would come on the Christian Trinity channel that would also play MxPx and Slickshoes. Great stuff!
thx ^.^ and yea they are!!! too bad i found out about them after they broke up. but o well i'll get their cd's (hopefully) and keep the music alive. do you know if fif and oc supertones still sell their cd's?
punnk? crap? 1. this isn't punk 2. punk isn't crap 3. this is SKA 4. why did you post that? 5. that is annoying when people diss on a band like that without staiting why, they just say its crap.....6. good day
haha same here except i didnt find out about Five Iron till the year they broke up :,( and not about the O.C. supertones till this last year, which sucked soooo bad i wish i had new about them during my childhood :( cause i was born in 91 and these guys would've seriously helped me through my childhood
the ironic way i found out about FIF is by one of the coolest math teachers ever lol XD yea you heard me a math teacher was listening to FIF IN CLASS lol XD first song i heard was Oh Canada XD got me hooked and its just gotten better ever since :D. And the O.C. supertones i found out about from one of my friends who lives in Canada when i told her about FIF lol.

are they really true Christians or they just call themselves a "christian ska band" to decieve real Christians and make money off of it?

Go get a life. Start actually living instead of wondering about who's Christian or not.

Yeah there are plenty of christians in bands that don't talk about chrisitanity at all in their songs. And sometimes they do but its hidden.
gp40mc 2 years ago 2
well considering the fact that being a christian ska band won't get them a lot of money i would say you are wrong.
