@FoodOddities Yea Andrew Z is awesome! Im sure maggot cheese is illegal in the USA...even european cheese made from unpasturized milk is illegal here! And ive got an idea for you...Chicken McNuggets. Sure its not unusual and every town in America has them, but the oddity is what's in them...theyre 100% processed and chicken isn't the biggest ingredient. Good way to teach other kids how gross and unhealthy MickeyD's is.

Remy, you win for SEVERAL reasons. 1. You're adorable in your sun conscious hat. 2. Your outdoor setting was more scenic 3. Your grasshoppers were MUCH bigger. 4. You didn't have to bleep out any of your video 5. You didn't gag nor did you turn my stomach by heaving into a plastic bucket. Yes, I know... we were warned about the viewer discretion thing, but I've seen you eat some GROSS stuff and I've been fine! This time? Not so much.

Yeah, I like we've talked about before, I figure with a lot of these odd foods, especially insects, I bet if you could go to Asia or other places and get them fresh, they'd taste better, just as so many things are better fresh, instead of freeze dried or whatever else they do to preserve many of these things, which has to take away a lot of the good flavors (if there are any there)!

@FoodOddities Yeah, I think catching and cooking them fresh, yourself would be more likely to taste good adn probably have better texture, etc.- for a bug- but then you have to worry about anyone using poisons in your area. It's the same with picking and eating wild plants, unless you can be sure nothing's been sprayed on it, it's best not to risk it! But yeah, I'd say you've done plenty of insects now! The only one I wish you could try are those fruit flavored ones in Mexico!

I don't think I'd have much trouble eating a grasshopper....the trouble would

be catching one. Here in Texas, we have locusts, which resemble

grasshoppers, and I always thought catching one would be easy. Not so.

I guess THEY don't particularly want to be eaten. I'll keep trying, though.
