I really like GTIs for daily commuting but not for racing

you pay 10 grand more for an sti and get a shitty interior but a fast car. you pay less for the gti and get a sick interior with the best fit and finish out of any car in its class but still a decently fast car. i have a gti but id take either

Too bad the STI is a teenager boy racer car and lacks any of the class or refinement of the GTI. Besides that though, you have a fast Honda Civic! Great!

5. An STI is AWD and a Civis FWD.

hahah STi vs GTi. On first look the diference is only in the first latter but Subaru Tecnica Internacional is the most scary words that i hear when i race.

Impreza will smoke the Golf on any gear, rolling or stand start.

But no doubt, the GTi is super hatchback that you can buy. The STi is king on the read and off the road!

I dought that is an STI...they run mid 13's all day. GTI r lucky to it under 14.4...of corse unless the GTI isn't stock.

@Johnyboy775 Well my friend just test drove a DSG GTI he used LC and I smoked him in a stock SRT-4 with bald front tires, I was a car length shifting into 2nd. There is no way in hell a faster STI and AWD should even have a problem walkin away on a GTI in ever gear, from any mph. Either that STI had a full car of passengers and someone who can't drive, and or there is something wrong with the STI/the GTI isn't stock. U can nearly stall a STI off the line & still run sub 14s.
