@FreshPrinceofPCB you racist cunt. dunking takes to be a great athelte you cant expect to dunk if you watch tv all day and be fat you gotta be active with your legs racist sterotype believer
On the cool, what Michael said is simple but true. Just work on jumping... you don't need to kill yourself with weights. Just practice dunking, drop step, not a 15 ft running start. And practice dunking with 2 hands, not 1.... you'll get there.
0:42 "...to be a better basketball player u dont have to jump high..." im not so agree with that part, if u jump higher u can: block easier, make layups easier, dunk, do more things while u are in the air and get rebounds. Sorry, Michael, i think thats the only think that youre KIND OF wrong (please dont call me a hater)
@ktdral22 ur wrong... How about to pass the ball, play with your team and run fast. U don't need to jump alot if you don't have to dunk or defense. And I think u get the whole aspect of the layup wrong. You don't need to be "almost-dunking" for a layup.
@ktdral22 an example... larry bird.. he dosen't need to jump high. as a matter of fact he isn't even that athletic but he dominated the game because he outsmart everyone.
He wasn't saying if jumping higher isn't better than not. He's saying, nicely, that he knows that there are so many kids out there that will never have great leaping ability and once you realize your limitations it's better to start focusing on other aspects of the game. As opposed to thinking, "Oh, if I can jump higher, that will make me a better shooter. That's really what the problem. Too many kids just want to score by dunking only.
Micheal Jordan is a liar. On one of his old videos they showed his work out. He jumps rope for 10 minutes off of one leg at a time. I think the video is called airtime buit i'm not sure.
True, but 99.999% of people can do the very same workouts as Jordan and never even reach a 40 inch vertical much less the 48-50 vert that MJ reached, naturally.
@EeeScape Stop believing these basketball players. Anyone can jump if they train hard enough. However, some people do have to train harder than others. The only way a human can have a natural 45 inch vertical leap is if they went after every rebound, jumping as explosively as the could, every time they played basketball. Thereby working out their legs.
Not sure what you just said. "Anyone can jump if they train hard?" Ok, and? Yet, what I said was that Jordan was trying to redirect the question since what most kids ask him really, is, "how do I jump like you?" Rather than how do I jump higher. You don't have a ask Jordan to know that. It's the "You are my hero" syndrome. Any superstar athlete gets asked these type of questions thousands of times.
"The only way a human can have a natural 45 inch vertical leap is if they went after every rebound, jumping as explosively as the could, every time they played basketball."
It's not someone that is born with a 45" vert. It's someone that trains hard, like Jordan, Bird, Rodman, Marshall, or Webb, and some of them reach a plateau yet others keep going higher, i.e. like Jordan, Leonel Marshall, or Spud Webb. And no matter how much harder Bird or Rodman try, they never can reach 45+.
Best way to jump higher is just to get stronger at the same bodyweight.

You are right! I also got its manual and
it was easy to understand. And as far as
my progress goes, it helped develop a
higher vert in less than a month. It was
worth a penny. Anyway, you got the site
name spelled wrongly. That should be:
JumpHigher.info
