Not a bad interpretation of the song. I'm currently exploring various types of music genre and have developed an appreciation for this sound.

I do, however, find it a bit obtuse in that the first verse was just repeated while the second verse was omitted entirely. I don't mind doing songs in different styles, just don't try to re-invent the wheel and change the original song.

Yea I went to GT in 2002. I had lessons with Shaun for a couple of years after. I moved down to London and Shaun moved to Birmingham so gutted on the lesson front. He should be way up there with Vai and Petrucci and he's been working on parts of his new album for years which sounded amazing 2 years ago and still no release!! I usually catch up with him via email at Christmas so I'll tell him to get that damn album released!!

Wonderful! It's one of my all-time favorite tunes, and this is a great addition to the catalog! Great slide show, too! Only been to CA one time myself, about 40 years ago, and only for two days. Pretty cool, though! I guess it's summer in Brazil right now, and I bet you guys don't get too much snow anyway, but let me tell you, dude, we've gotten a sh*t-load of it here in northwest Pennsylvania, USA, this year, including a LOT today! Best wishes. I bet this sounds GREAT in Portuguese, too!!
