How can I get this song? Codewit, I am going to Nigeria in December,. I need a couple of songs from you.

  • Grrrrrreat Song!!! These are Timeless tunes

  • how fast time flies, how short man's life is here on earth, I was listening to the song some decades ago ...can't believe i am in the place my dad was back then. funny and strange life we are in. God help us to count our days so that the dark days will not come unawares to us.

  • Make u no pray for spiritual attacks to come meet u for america. I marry mami water and we live in North America. Mami water power does not diminish whatever the distance. Mami spirit is undeliverable too.

  • OMG. Codewit nwanne dalu for sharing this song. It used to be my dad's favourite in the 80's

  • Greatone keep it up

  • gd 1 there patty God bless u

  • Good Music. Not now that we hv many Pastors and some Reverends singer/preachers who go about in circus abegging "Naira rain", "Aka-Nchawa" or is it Tithe? Gone are d days of this kind of Music that will tear ur soul.

  • well in my own point of view, i think the message is not about a mermaid or any of these scary images in the video. Patty was trying to tell us the importance of repentance in this song, but Codewit used the wrong images maybe it is based on his owm perception.

  • good song loved it

  • This song brings tears to my eyes. God bless Patty forever!

  • I love this song, the only ibo chritian song I can buy with my money. God bless Patty Obassey . His Lagend

  • "We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light." _ Plato _

  • romeoonyeka apparently you are one of those pseudo-enlightened Nigerians who think that they are too cool to identify with their roots. Patty Obassy is an excellent gospel musician, you were and probably still are a bush and superstitious villager, that is why the music 'scared the shit out of you' as you so crudely stated. I grew up listening to his songs and they never scared me because i understood the context of his art.

  • Honestly it's only bushmen and village champions like you that liked him and his songs.

When did not liking a song and it's message convert one to a hater of his/her roots? Patty Obassey is not my root. you called me superstitious, yet you are a fan of Patty Obassey LoL!! People and contradictions.

When you install some brain in your skull come back here.

  • How on earth can you say ( Honestly it's only bushmen and village champions like you that liked him and his songs.) are you out of your mind you stupied ass.

you are a devil that is why you hate him.

    go to hell

  • Thank you very much sweetmother 35 years!!!

  • Comment removed

  • very brainwashing and misleading!!

  • romeoonyeka fuck you and you brain, dom ass , if a w man you will love him and even lik his w ass, but how can a dom like you will love patty because his a black man. stupid asshole

  • This is the dumbest, daftest post i've ever read on youtube. So kindergarten!!

  • Ur Father name is Mr,kindergarten and Ur Mom Dumbest, look here u outcast, what A fuck do u talking about, are u the only one that went to school or what are u try to tell u about the good message, boy listen to me asshole. If Patty is a white man, you will worship him, because is a black my from Nigeria, maybe from your village that is why you talk about him that way, may God forgive u for hating good thing,

  • Low life hypocrite!! talking about The Good Message and at the same time casting aspersions on my person. LoL

How i make meaning out of your unintelligible rants beats me.

  • Outcast, that his why Ur father was cast-out of his people in the first place, son of a beach. If u try to open Ur fucking mouth on us, we will visit u.

    crazy man

  • Hhahahahaha Miami Beach? When are you going to visit me? come with your sun oil, beach towel and bikini. Nitwit

  • Before I go on with u, I want to know one thing, do u know u that u are a Goat? get a joy.

  • Go back to Nursery school.

  • Fuck you and you school, PHD holder what good has U and Ur fucking degree done to your father land after all their life saving money they invest on u, the only good thing u did for Ur people is to say that patty obassy is brainwashing his people just because his telling them to be careful. you are a disgrace to Ur family and Ur self.( FMD HOLDER )

    Pig.

  • @sweetmother35 Pls let they bee no fight;

  • @sweetmother35 My beloved let me be no fight.

    thank u,

  • motherfucker, where are u he goat, son of a pig, do you think you can fuck with me, bushmen because Ur old man sold the only land of Ur family and send u to school , so that at list know how to say thank you sir, now thank U sir that u will tell Ur father is to call him a bushmen. shame on u and Ur FMD, degree. ball-head chicken.

  • Hhahahahhaa what a comic relief!!!

  • this video soothes my spirit with memories of nigeria.mum i miss u

  • it is a nice song.

  • What can i say... evergreen!!!!!

  • This artiste is good. Excellent Christian lyrics and soulful melody.

He is not to blame for the graphics. To some though, it takes gory pictures like this to jolt their imagination.

  • I don't like this singer right from childhood, his songs scared the shit out of me when i was a kid and i believe he was so famous because people were so ignorant then! that kind of music will not sell today, Gospel music shouldn't be scary!!

  • No!... It's the person who uploaded it that make it scary with those pictures.

I don't really like the new born baby picture as he is not a mami water or something...lol

But the music is sweat...If you can understand igbo, you would like this song!.

  • romeoonyeka, i advice you not to say anything against any music that glorify the name of God.Majority of people don't like the when the gospel truth is spoken.

  • That gospel music shouldn't be scary is now talking against music that glorifies the Lord? Ignorance is bliss!! It was during his time that people believed that Hair products, lipsticks, eye pencils etc where produced deep inside the atlantic ocean, LoL!! That was when scare tactics was used in Gospel music. Today people are more educated and it's not going to work anymore.

You can shy away from speaking the truth but not me dear.

  • Lol at this guy pissing on himself when her heard Obassey in the market.

scared? a grown man? scared? of songs? LOL!

i dont even know why the rest of you are getting mad at him, lighten up, it's hilarious

  • Ain't you a retard? Kids can easily be frightened by stories about dead people, mammy water, ogbanje, amosu, snakes etc. In Africa. Gospel music shouldn't be scary i repeat. Now go fuck urself along with your e-bravery.

  • HAHAHAhahh!!!! LOL! he's still going. He even sent me a private message expressing his fear of hearing Obassey in a Danfo.

LOL at E-bravery, why bring up bravery when your shitting church stools over Obassey. lmao!

  • I am talking about my Experience as a kid and you are running ur mouth here. Patty Obassey capitalised on the fear the gullible minds like yours had then and still do at this very age to make way a lot of money. Today the Gospel singers are more concentrated in singing about material wealth and prosperity because the Churches preach wealth and prosperity and people buy them because that is what exactly they want to hear. Sing about mammy water, lip stick and weave-on today, and get no buyers.

  • Dude are you on some cheap dope? I did not write you and have no reason to do so!! I can say all i want to say here and i have no biz with danfos. what a mendacious oaf.

  • no biz with danfos? why, you afraid this song will come on and you'll soak your drawers? LMAO at this grown ass man!

  • Before you start falsely claiming that i wrote you a private message (so gay of you)i would suggest you fill that empty carcass with some brain and then we can give it a go.

  • thanks codewit for this classic. this was when artistes maintained originality ; and not the common chorus singing artistes that we have now

  • not only agbogho

okoro wee no know Chineke check urself well

as it is onto she so it might be on u

tufiakwa, God forbid, it's not ... portion.

    2morrow may be too late

4 all hav sin n fallen short of his glory, chei! Nna mee ebere!

  • I am one of those who hold the believe that it is outrightly unfair on those infants whose photos were shown on this video.I think codewit now knows his mistake.Great song though.Luv from England.

  • VERY SOLID!!

  • nice song. old memories. but i have ethical issues with some photos here, those babies have congenital defects and should not be associated with evil. remember when jesus was asked . . "who sinned for this man to be blind?" he replied . "neither him, nor his parents . . " so those babies are innocent victims of a disease whose causes are still under study. you and i were born healthy not because we were good or our parents were good but b/c of God's Grace.

  • Igurube, i agree with you... Nice song though

  • I totally agree with you. Associating innocent babies with evil is unacceptable. There is no scientific evidence to show that the devil caused their conditions.

  • the funniest part of this vid is; the pictures r so true!! iv de video!

thanx for sharing anywayz. i love de song

  • what is funny about it? it's a stupid video for all i care!!

  • lol...that's ur opinion and that is mine, so dnt ask me stupid question and better dnt reply back....rubbish!!!!

  • yes stupid boy, u will get a comic relief because u are shameless idiot , I only feel sorry for Ur old man that spend all his life saving to send u to school.

  • i am happy hearing this song but i will add one word to it, the person that have ear let him hear it not going from prophet to prophet till you jam rev king he will use the person as he like

  • Codewit, Honestly i will say you are one among other creations of God that brings the world together, as an igbo man of the federal republic of Nigeria, i can't stop praying with you to God to continue to bless you until you are fully Blessed.Elegant (Holland)

  • Mr Codewit, Thanks for uploading this song. When i was kid, one of our relative took the album and never returned it. Since then i have never heard it again but the song got stuck in my head. Thanks again.

  • Oga codewit is it true that this man had a spiritaul attack after releasing this music,or it jst one the rumours of those childhood?Sorry i had to refer the question to u..lol.Jst tht when we were kids we were abit afriad to sing this music becos of this rumour so that we wont be attacked..lol

  • Hi Princekevo,That is right.i also heard the same story about been understand one spiritual attack or the other, when someone sing this music. Thus, however it was one of those numerous Urban legend that we all heard while going up.There were certainly no attack whatsoever on anyone that sing this music, but it was also good to sing it and shame the devil.Worry not mate..Cheers.

  • I heard the story too but its just one of those stories told while eating oka na ube at the feet of grandpa. I've been playing/singing this song as long as i can remember. Spiritual thing/attack that want to travel all the way from nigeria come meet me in america because i played a song will be highly welcomed.
