I read online the elders said that the cherokee were sky people. look on my channel at the link about the Halogroup x. If you have anything to add there please do. I am very interested in this subject, thank you
I just read yesterday that the Cherokee Indians have a gene which is cauciside...Haplo group X it is akindred to that of the Mediteranain sea area, peoples...ie they have common anscestory of the Greeks, Italians etc...I am Metis I like the singing in Cherokee better even though I couldn't understand it,lol!
@lucy9359 O'Siyo Lucy,I am Tsalagi (cherokee) I had heard that also, but they did another DNA test on a group of Eastern Cherokee, and that was not the case, because some group of Cherokee, not from Cherokee,NC said they were a lost tribe of Israel,we are our own people, you will find that Natives all over the USA will say our ancestors came from the Star People.
@dwolfspirit1 thanks I am not so sure about the star people thing but I actually have seen a UFO not that I should tell anybody that, lol and I wouldn't besides the fact that many people from our community seen it as well including the police...
its good to hear about people like MR John Grant , makes me proud of the heritage my grandfather gave to me ,he was mixed blood cherokee, lakota and french .when i practice i look at the height of the trees and play the high notes and the low notes from what i see in them . i have a 6 hole flute i bought at the mankato pow wow and a high spirits flute in the key of a . im not sure what key the onr i bought from the mankato pow wow is in but i like them both .
My father's great grandmother on his dad's side, and his great grandmother on his mother's side were both Cherokee. Thank you for sharing this with everyone!
my great grandma on my grandaddies side was a full blooded cherokee princess n im 1/8 cherokee and i love my familys tradition cherokee or white my family has a rich heritage and we try to keep traditions going...
I just found out the my Great Great Grandmother was 100% Cherokee indian... I have only one picture of her.. My great Aunt used to tell me about never knowing her mother... she died two days after giving birth to her in 1922... she would always cry when looking at the picture and recalling what her father told her, to me
Thanks for making & sharing this video. I loved the flute tune and your Cherokee singing. I also appreciated your translation of the words in the Cherokee language, and the information you shared about the instruments and the dances.
Thank you very much for this Gift! Blessings to you!!!!

And what a delightful sense of humor this man has!
This music works like an anti-depressant. It has elevated my mood remarkably here. :-)
