@Wargod2 Give it a clean out, I did this when my games FPS kept dropping. Clean it out and things will speed up. I did this and I noticed a massive improvment when you clean the system out.

Surround sound gotta turn down the subs in speaker options to 20 but other than that..it's a killer laptop.. best of all of em.

Acer Aspire 6920g.. after 20 minutes of any game play..the fps drops to 10fps and the Processor spikes to 100% cpu usage..

So... I reformatted, installed only my Anti virus ESET Nod 32, and Americas Army 2.. 20 minutes of game play the fps dropped to 10fps and the proc spiked again..

Acer Sucks Cock and Balls.. stay away from Acer, Gateway, Emachines and Packard Bell..

Acer tech support are nothing but anal felchers with thumb to nose attitudes..

OOOH GOD... its just the same as my old GX-700. only little better on 2 points.. and that is windows 64bits... and its 18.4inch screen.. the rest..isnt faster...only card is a higher clocked 8600M GT. and thats it. nothing special. It hasnt any special gaming potential. For that buy an XXODD or CLEVO or SAGER or EUROCOM or an ALIENWARE ofcourse. otherwise dont buy a gamingnotebook but a Desktop.

You just compared a brand new video card with a faster core clock to one that about a year old. So of course the 280m will blow away the 9600m it's way faster then the other and NEWER!!! the one gig of ram is to future proof the system and so you can watch HD videos if you choose to get a BLU- Ray drive.

Before u add any comments read about decoding bluray formats or any other formats for videoplayback. its the HD videodecoder processor (individual chip on the videocard) which decodes the x-264 or other HD format. I'm not an acer fanboy. My pc is custom made. You can't be mad at me cuz no other laptop under $1500 gives the same amount of power as this, & +5 Vista rating. Name one I dare you. The dell studio comes with 2.53ghz cpu and ati 3700 graphics, HP HDX is about $2000 with the same specs. So is it really a shitty brand, well it's is #2 right now and is about to take Dell's # 1 spot. Before you compare video cards try not comparing them if their a year apart, tech gets better everyday.
