I hate hate hate, their interpretation in the 9/8, but gotta give em props on the swing/double time parts...What's with the sloppy piano work and lack of passion, during the 9/8?? It just sounds/looks as if they're rushing just to get to the fun swing part...seriously it's as boring as watching Dream Theater perform live -_- Though it does make me miss my glory years in High School Jazz...
to @bcsimmons2 and the world :D this piece is in 9/8, based on a 4 measure scheme, divided in 2+2+2+3 (x 3 times) and 3+3+3 (once). then the solos are in 4/4 time alternate with occasional reprise of the 2+2+2+3 meter. finally (after the reprise of the 9/8 pattern), instead of the last 3+3+3 measure there's a 12/8 measure (in regular 3+3+3+3), right before the end.

The introduction to this video is so random. I always want paintings when I'm thinking of a "foam of expression."

I am as far from being a jazz fan as you can get, but this, Take Five and Unsquare Dance fascinate me.

All I can say is Paul Desmond has a great G# key on his Selmer. Really difficult piece to play if you have a non cantilevered G sharp key.

¿Cómo algo tan brillante puede tener tan pocas reproducciones, en cambio otros videos que no nos aportan nada son vistos de forma tan masiva?
Buen video.
