  • taco taco taco bÚrrito?¿?¿?¿

  • I hate hate hate, their interpretation in the 9/8, but gotta give em props on the swing/double time parts...What's with the sloppy piano work and lack of passion, during the 9/8?? It just sounds/looks as if they're rushing just to get to the fun swing part...seriously it's as boring as watching Dream Theater perform live -_- Though it does make me miss my glory years in High School Jazz...

  • sounds to me like plagiarism...

    It's Bela Bartok piece.

  • Hmm... I don't know if those paintings really have the right color for the song- oh wait....

  • @ryanohan omg! that's great...yes, i actually sang along with it....LOL!

  • @ryanohan Heyy, how did you invent that but Dave didn't? :D

  • @ryanohan sadly whenever i hear this song it's all i can think now

  • The introduction to this video is so random. I always want paintings when I'm thinking of a "foam of expression."

  • This song is all in 9/8 except for the swing. that's in 4/4

  • RIP Joe Morello.

  • Look at 4:32 The masters also are crazies! Epic interpretation!

  • Happy 90th Birthday Brubeck!

  • LOVE IT !

  • Omg! That was a beautiful piece of music.. What was it in 7/8?? With I couple mixed meters Of 6/8??

  • @bcsimmons2 It is 9/8 grouped 2+2+2+3.

  • @bcsimmons2 YEAH what Renbo172 said, it's 9/8 and 4/4

  • @bcsimmons2

Its in 9/8, and somewhere towards the end it is 12/8

  • to @bcsimmons2 and the world :D this piece is in 9/8, based on a 4 measure scheme, divided in 2+2+2+3 (x 3 times) and 3+3+3 (once). then the solos are in 4/4 time alternate with occasional reprise of the 2+2+2+3 meter. finally (after the reprise of the 9/8 pattern), instead of the last 3+3+3 measure there's a 12/8 measure (in regular 3+3+3+3), right before the end.

  • I am as far from being a jazz fan as you can get, but this, Take Five and Unsquare Dance fascinate me.

  • thats nice as hell.

  • So incredible!

  • Paul Desmond is THE MAN... RIP...

  • @polishpaul All of them are..THE MAN!!! rsrsrs

  • @polishpaul Yep, 12 12 12 123, great way of remembering it ! :-)

  • @polishpaul Yep, 12 12 12 123, great way of remembering it ! :-)

All I can say is Paul Desmond has a great G# key on his Selmer. Really difficult piece to play if you have a non cantilevered G sharp key.

  • ¿Cómo algo tan brillante puede tener tan pocas reproducciones, en cambio otros videos que no nos aportan nada son vistos de forma tan masiva?

    Buen video.
