  • Great shooting!!!just getting into it myself here in australia.

  • 3 people caught a ricochet....

  • Dude, get a girlfriend and a life. I'ma gun owner and love to shoot, but this is really lame.

  • Can someone explain to me what he's doing in between shooting? I mean specifically where he's running with his shoulder towards the targets? Is that a requirement?

  • @ChaoticRain1 He cannot point his gun elsewhere but up front...

  • i like how he pointed the gun always in the range position while puasing thats good excerzise for gun safety =] it makes the sport have a better name to it

  • what a good fuking shooter

  • is it in the rules you have to run so stupidly?

  • is it in the rules to act stupid?

  • Yes. You must always have your weapon oriented downrange or be disqualified.

  • ah right cheers, you gotta admit though it does look funny :D

  • The second amendment is one of our most important constitutional rights. It has nothing to do with the "want" of having a gun. It has everything to do with having a last defense from a tyrannical government. Well what do you....Just like today, and the soon to be future.

  • I doubt that's the reason most americans own guns. Many keep them for home defense or personal safety and or target shooting.

But if it comes to that, id say it will be harder for a tyrranical government in the U.S to take over than it would be for any European country, because here in Europe, gun laws are very harsh.

  • Yeah it's real outdated to not be at the mercy of any thug piece of shit who wants to come in your home and kill your family and take your stuff with his illegally obtained gun. Criminals will always have weapons, it makes zero "sence" to disallow law abiding citizens to have one.

By the way you were looking for the word sense. Have a nice day and enjoy sharia law and no rights over there in the UK my friend.

  • lol wtf are you talking about? you think we have no rights because we can't own gun's? hahahahaha are you nut's? why have we no rights? omg if you think just because it's hard to own a gun here that we have no rights your a fucking retard.

  • @fresky74

You have squandered your rights and become a pale version of what the UK used to be.

I just hope we can stop the spread of what ever disease is causing it.

  • @fresky74

Yes freedom of speech and the press is so outdated now.

I mean there is the internet and all that.

  • aim bot lol

  • AIMBOT

  • that frenchman is the man

  • What awesome gun handling skills! Eric is the man. Great video to show his ability.

  • Well, Eric points the gun down range, because it is faster! There is no benefit in pointing the gun to point to your running direction, when you have to swing it back to the targets anyway.

  • especially there is one timer man (judge) behind the shooter, if there is no this kind of rule, then the shooter may shoot the guy behind or himself.

  • this is a kind of sport, not any more practice for combat, so they have this kind of rule for sport is quite normal.

  • Yeah, constantly pointing it like that is bad practice for combat, but for the camera man and everyone else's safety it's necesary.

  • IPSC is NOT training for combat.

It is a SPORT nothing else.

Just look at his gun. It is Open Class...ie it has a compensator on the end of the barrel as well as a holographic scope. Not to mention the RACE style holster that he uses.

This has as much in common with combat as drag racing has to going to the corner store in your car.

  • Did my comment ever say that IPSC was combat training? -- Nope. So chill out.

  • You said it was bad practice for combat........

    DUH!

That implies that it has a connection with "combat".

It clearly does not. At least we are in agreement about that.

  • Sport is defined as ritualised combat, and one of the best ways to train for combat is a similar sport.

Boxing and BJJ are not much like a modern battlefield either but most army and police instructors have high regard of them for soldiers to do,outside of normal training, just like IPSC.

it does have a connection with combat, and the holding the gun sideways looks gay.

    End of story.

  • Explain why Todd Jarret and Rob Leatham go and train special forces then. Anyways, IPSC has combat pistol classes (limited class), and IDPA is specifically designed for combat training.

  • Simple.......

Because they are very skilled handgun shooters.

The ability to shoot a handgun is critical to BOTH activities.

IDPA is designed for defensive handgun training.

Of course the video in question is NOT IDPA!

    DUH!

    It is IPSC.

Add to that it is IPSC with OPEN guns!

How many people carry an OPEN gun for CCW?

  • weapons pointed down range at all times

  • ...guns got to point downrange.... it is called SAFETY!

  • Remind me never to go near you if you have a firearm.

what is shown here is skill!

I hope to see Eric shoot this summer...

  • Go near me anytime before they made the stupid downrange rule, when no one got killed running with it normally anyway.

That was brought in by pressure from lobbyists who couldn't ban the sport, but like to interfere anyway they can.

  • i don't know whats going on but it looks fast
