You're welcome. I'll have the summer '09 off and plan to put more sample videos based on my online course and multimedia ebook on digital communications, spread spectrum communications, digital signal processing and signals and systems. Dr J
I appriciate it. Very useful stuff but I have a problem with some setting. Could you tell me what would be the setting of Confriguation Parameters in "Simulation" option.
Very cool video, but I am wondering, wouldn't the carrier and the message generators names be switched? I don't know much about AM but with a vocoder (musical effect), the carrier is the synthesizer or equal sound, and the modulator is your vocal track or equal. An although the vocoder deals with frequencies in a completely different ways, I thought maybe the carrier and modulator (or message in this case) would be switched.
All in all, interesting video, enlightened me to Simulink. Thanks.
I don't know about music, but you have the right idea. It doesn't really matter as long as two signals are multiplied: one will modulate (or change the other). In AM, the carrier is at alot higher frequency so that the antenna is smaller otherwise without modulation, an antenna to receive a voice message signal would be many miles long. Thanks for watching the video. John
thank you Prof. Video was very informative
i am student of automobile engineering and working on project of hydraulic system

Good morning sir, I followed your video but I'm not able to see the whole wave form on Simulink. How do I solve this problem?

There is an exciting contest on Tektronix® scopes and MATLAB® software and you could win $250 Amazon gift card. Its worth giving a try.
