  • When we are able to shut down coal plants, wind will be great. With 100,000 turbines and counting and not one coal plant shut down, not to mention we use more coal because of the intermittent nature of these things, I don't think so.

  • i dont like wind energy, it is too unreliable im pro nuclear or hydroelectric in dams and also solar, but there is still a lot better possibilities

  • Hemp Oil, the answer is Hemp! Legalize It

  • @PureMeditation hemp is legal, well it is in the UK at least.

  • THANK U SIR!!!

  • Get a hair cut mate

  • Way to stay on task, you ADHD addled nitwit.

  • It smells when I eat beans !

  • Very intelligent and educational vid man!

  • Harnessing wind energy is highly efficient, but there is also geothermal, tidal wave and meg lav.

Support the Venus project/Zeitgeist movement, otherwise the elitist power monolpoly will be profiting from these "should-be-free" natural resources.

  • I think wind energy is the one of the best solutions. It's been used for centuries and it's not like we'd ever run out of wind. Solar power and wind energy is the way to go. There is no fixing the damage done but people can still contribute to save whats left in nature. Or does any one remember water mills? those worked, not so practical these days but you get the idea.

  • the government is responsible for everything. There is always a better way to do things than what the government is doing now. I agree that it's a good idea, but I don't think it's gonna fix up all the crap the air and the earth has had to endure because of the carelessness and hated of some mankind. there has to be better ways. Great video brother!

  • I love those windmills. And I like where you are going with your videos. Next time, pull over and shoot from the side of the road instead of shooting while driving. It's safer and you'll get better footage.

  • Thanks for the tips, Swanny! I know, sometimes I can be so stupid!

  • 감사합니다

  • You got a problem? Take it to BearNSO!

  • Wind id the way to go my friend Thanks for the video and the walk

  • Alwaya a pleasure, pal!

  • you're a very intelligent man that is completely aware of the issues that are going on in our world!!

    WE LOVE YOU MAN!!

    URIAH

  • MUCH LOVE to you and all the ~GS~ GHOST SEEKERS team! Viva Ghost seekers!@@

  • Now the fundamental question. Is wind power viable? Not for most of the world. Solar OTOH is everywhere, that is where the focus should be. Hydro electric is a close second but for the most part wind energy is a waste of energy.

  • Good points, Tammy. It does seem wind power falls short for much of the world. Stay tuned for my next vid in the series on brownfields.

  • I live in California, which is probably the most expensive state in the US to live and our monthly PG & E bill (for natural gas and electric) is $27 in the summer and $50 in the winter. Why so cheap? We canceled the cable and only watch TV while on the elliptical trainer (which is limited to Korean dramas and Blockbuster videos).

I also get my news and entertainment from the internet.

  • I think Hawaii is the most expensive state. ;) Good points. Yes, people, TURN THAT TV OFF!!

  • The key to your freedom is living a way where you rely on less people to provide for your needs. Our light bill in the summer is $200 that is cheap where we live winter we are about $90. I want to do much better the homes we accept are unacceptable we must demand greater efficiency we can start with solar hot water and better insulation. As for new homes we need houses that can last hundreds of years and use 1/3 the energy DOME HOMES do this now. U tube is loaded with examples of what we should.

  • Nice video Bear...I've been watchin.

  • Use hemp oil to lubricate the bearings of the turbine.

  • Hemp oil FTW!!

  • Montreal has high wind all the time, it's a perfect place to fly a kite, Canada is sitting on a few hundred years worth of oil so it will be some time before they use it, I listen to Alex Jones at inforwars ; - )

  • When was it built? I don't think that was there when I grew up in Waddington, NY 10-20 years ago??

  • Recently, Dave, in 2006.

  • We use oil for machines and wind for energy to light up cities, homes and many others. Solar is the only way to go since wind dies out here and there. We have mountains in Alaska, which at times gets real windy. The sun light is up nearly 18 hrs in the summer time..

  • 분당곰 hi! umm

do you like it korea of spice food? :D

  • Yes, I love spicy food!!

  • wind will be here forever so yessum.

  • But will there be enough wind for all the people all the time?

  • not all but we can use it to supplement other power sources to a hell of an amount.

  • Europe does it ,why not us? Also It can save a mountain from being destroyed for cheap coal. Good subject, Bear. I used to love to go to the mountains in Germany and look at the wind farms.

  • Thanks, Mike, for reminding the viewer that America is not alone in the world! My next vid in the series will be on brownfields.

  • If we could collect all the wind energy on Youtube, we could power a major city! LOL

  • Oh Mike, you are one funny guy, considering you did that little spot for Prop buster, I suppose you're right! LOL.

(Sure, he has fee speech rights to say the garbage he says, but I'm not doing any ads for the guy. LOL. JK. Mike is ok, peeps!)

  • I agree with you BunDang, that petroleum IS comming to an end soon, and I also agree that that wind turbines are helpful, but it's not the entire solution, just merely a small factor in the whole equation. Combining Solar, Wind, BioFuels, Hydrogen and other alternative sources of energy is the way to go.

  • True, it looks like it must be a combination. And look at all the damage oil has caused. My next vid in the series will be on brownfields.

  • I do think it is a good solution but I don't think they will be used soo much in the future...

  • Wind is ok, but we have a huge ball of energy we revolve around every 365 days that can be tapped.

  • True, Rex, but can solar power service all our energy needs? Is there anything to do that? and look at the environmental damage oil has caused. Stay tuned, my next vid in the series will be on brownfields.

  • Bundangbear dies in car wreck. Authorities state if he only took time to get out of the car and video this would have never happened. He will be buried in Windy City Cemetery. Donations are to be sent to Joetylerdale. RIP Partner!

  • Bear deep in my favorites there is a man that is already living independant he has huge investments in solar but he also uses his additional solar to produce hydrogen. The H is used to provide power when the sun is not out and to power his car and power boat. He lives somewhere in new England his system cost about $500k but claims that the same could eventually be mass produced for $50k for your average family. Entirely RE he has more than enough power to support his life.

  • Solar hydrogen home Michael Strizki Well wort watching. Produces 160% more energy than he heeds.

  • NJ man pioneers nations' first solar-hydrogen home. Just watched this one it was added 6 months ago seems Mike has produced another ayatem to ship off to a man in the grand caymen islands. The future is here now and it is going to involve power sources to work together in order to provide storage energy solutions.Just wait until they start harvesting switchgrass for alcohol algee for bio diesel. China Israel Germany are already producing more re than we are check u tube its true my favorites too

  • Sean, I will check it all out! I love your energy and enthusiasm on sustainable energy, especially for a guy with a CDL whose livelihood relies upon oil! I suppose you can see the end of oil, too, and want to secure your profession with sustainable energy. Right on, man!!!

  • A lot of truckers are into saving fuel simply because they can save$ it is cheaper to rent a room rather than idle a truck for 10 hours. I use to try to park at an altitude where I could turn off the engine and sleep. Proir to sleepers on trucks truckers would crash at the truck stops in bunk rooms that is more efficient but difficult to manage with so many criminals trying to rip you off. Our family car is a prius not just for enviromental but bc if hurricane strikes we have an advantage.

  • Sean, very interesting points about truckers. Wow, it's becoming cheaper to get a room than idle your truck! Wow! That points to a a lot of problems right there!

  • Most chem haulers have preset rates at locations where they know they will frequent it is not uncommon for a hauler to have to wait for production units. Do the math a driver has to shut down 10 solid hours a day x ppg plus the mechanical degradation of equipment just idleing. Some places have idle air this system allows you services by the hour hvac 110v cable inet I have seen cars/vans hooked up there too hey they are paying customers.

  • Sean, now they're even having 2 drivers per truck, like my best friend, hippietrucker67. The wheels on that truck are ALWAYS turning; when one sleeps/watches DVD's/eats microwave crap/etc, the other drives! Seems like my friend is trapped up there 12 hours a day! What do you think of these "sweatshop" or worse conditions?

  • Team driving has been around for a while I would not care for it. Laws are pro team soaking for 10 hours is insane. Teams can get home weekly earn more but is a sweatshop. It saves fuel reduces cost for truck owners reduces idle time. I am disabeled with the surgery that I have had I can't team I could be injured worse. I think they should set up motels/bunk houses along routes truck arrives swap driver. This way driver gets exercize they swim walk. Road way does this driver miss home one night.

  • I'm glad you posted this. Can't wait to see more of your environmental themed uploads.

    Peace, Love, Good times.

  • Thanks! I will be making a vid on brownfields soon.

  • HI Bundangbear ~ We have those Windmill energy producing farms here in Cali too :)

  • My thoughts are that it may not be the option to replace but as an alterative and in having an option I think its great!! any solution we can find is better than no solution at all! ♥

  • i do not like to edit.

    xoexo

  • Wind farms are good. Fission Nuclear is bad.

Scaling back on all fossil fuel is good.

  • I couldn't agree with you more, good Citizen. Ironic, as I'm driving in the second part.

  • The main concern to the government is a decrease in carbon dioxide, for the planet, but no, it's only to 25%, they will have to find other sources like Solar, but oil is going going gone.

  • True that. Peak oil is already in the past!

  • we need to harness more hydrogen, more wind, more solar...

and possibly controlling the rate of which organic matter turns into oil. im sure with our knowledge of science, all it would take is some funding..... of course welcome to america, Land of Defeat and Home of the Slave

  • Very good suggestions, my friend! And yes, I do need to work on editing! OR, hire an editor! LOL

  • alaska has a crap load of resources but for some reason we dont get it. I think alaska has a lot of natural gas? good luck with editing LOL

  • I just shouldn't edit vids at all, huh?
