It's well known the V1 falses constantly. The Redline can attatch to the SC55 to alert for speed-cams and falses as well, making it beyond far superior than the old V1 falsing relic (for those that drink the V1 Kook-Aid)
I had my redline plugged in, while sitting down by the console area, and it stilled picked up an officer while I was at a red light, and he was half way down the road coming from the other direction, LOL
I couldn't believe it. thought they werent able to do such things.
I have another one that happened to my trip to las vegas .
Going down a small town by Scion National park , I get a full frontal KA , I slow down , I see no cop , just a couple of cars and a white ford f150 comming down the road , as the truck passed me the radar went to "back" so I immediately knew it was the truck , a lexus comming behind me wasn't so lucky and was goig about 40 on a 30 , truck turns around and nails him , without the arrows I would had been left wondering who was the radar
Even if the Redline alerted 2 seconds earlier than the V1 , the arrows are just too much of a valuable tool to not have , I have been informed where was the threat from many times , saving me the looking around .
Scenario : you get a warning from the front , see a cop with a customer and think "humm that was it" gun it right over the hill there is another cop (the real one shooting radar) and you are screwed ..
Mike Valentine has been kicking Escorts ass for 25 years. Its only now that the redline has the same performance as the V1. After this year V1's patent on the arrows will be gone. So this means escort will have arrows on their detectors along with other manufactures. But none of them have a true rear radar antenna. The King will always be the V1 for "dash Mounted radar detectors" Long live the V1!!
Apparently your knowledge of radar detectors is outdated. That, or you are misinformed. It is obvious there is no interference here. Additionally, I've tested each detector alone against stationary radar trailers, and they perform the exact same separately as they did simultaneously. Buy both and try it.
It sounds like the V1 and Redline alerted at the same time on the first contact, and the other contacts sound like the V1 alerted a couple of seconds prior to the Redline.
Yeah it seems like the redline isn't the 'Valentine Killer' it was dubbed to be. Both are still great detectors, but I think the V1 is better at instant on.
I owned the Redline for 2 months now. I just got the V1 3 days ago. I got the V1 also because I am torn between which is "better" for the highway Instant ON. I already know the Redline is definitely better with Constant ON. What's your thoughts on this?
Which one do you like better?

@durand001 The V1.

You should never use two radar detectors at the same time, they can interfere with each other.

@leog68 They didn't.

@alaj1125660 You are right. Redline shielded but V1 not. V1 will get no interfierence from Redline but Redline will get it from V1.

Search speedtraphunter. Rest assured, he knows more than both of us and he uses at least 2 detectors at once.
