I am the music director at my parish and I wish I had priests like these to work with. I am a new convert and of all the people in the parish, I am the one pushing for altar servers and lectors to wear something nicer than flip-flops and cut-off shorts.
It's amazing the difference ad prientum does! Even with what appears to be a girl "alter-boy" you can tell there is much more reverence then when the priest faces the people. Now only if we can return the practice of boys only for the position of altar-boy.
This is great. It's what Vat2 intended. At my parish, there is an ad orientem, sung mass at noon. It's beautiful. PS They can't find any boys to serve at this parish? Voations, vocations, vocations...
This is what the Holy Mass of Paul VI was and is meant to be. This is the way all parishes must celebrate Holy Mass, for the sake of the honor of Our Lord. LONG LIVE priests like this man! Should I become a priest as I desire, this shall be how I celebrate the Holy Mass!!
No, the altar cards are from the Mass before - the whole altar with gradines is set up for the Extraordinary Form Mass at 10:30am on Sunday, and left until after the 6pm Mass OF Mass, which as you saw, is ad orientem. The gradines are then taken down and the altar set up versus populum for the weekday Masses (an example of which is also shown as a slideshow)
I was wondering if this NO Mass could be said in English? Well, could it be?

Even though the church is not that nice you can feel the reverence!

@1234JAST actually, the church isn't bad - the air of reverence makes up for the plain decor

Leaving Church history and Tradition aside, this just makes logical sense to me. The priest is leading us rather than entertaining us.
I pray that one day this will become the norm again.

I wish I could find an ordinary form Mass like this where I live.

@Antjammat Amen to that! I myself plan to pursue a vocation to the priesthood, and has a distinct dislike for Versus popolum celebartions.
