@mar1j4ne Well depends some Burms are thicker and some are longer. but truly it depends on the Burm I know people who have 20 ft burms and weigh around 250 300 pounds.

honestly i dont think so at all. shes very docile, i feed her about once a week, and she only needs cleaned about 2 times a week too. i take her out alot so that shes friendly though and to get her used to different smells. i definately recommend burmese pythons if you can handle a huge snake lol

Benjamamdoherty you are totally right!! A male snake will not grow up to 20 ft!! There are exceptions but they are very rare and i have not seen 1 male that has become 20 ft ever! The biggest male i've ever seen had a length of 16ft.

She is a beauty but will you be able to handle her when she is fully grown? You are aware how powerful they get later? I am thinking about getting one but I will have serious thought about that. They are tame but you can never be 100% sure.

Whats sad about these beautiful snakes, is that people dont think about how big they are going to get, and then they dump them... Zoos wont even take them cause they alrady have enough.. mouth rot is from bactira or something getting stuck in its mouth. useually from haveing a dirty water dish. just clean its whater about every other day or when it shits in the water and you shouldent have to worry about mouth rot
i know but its kinda rare the longest snake in captivity is 24 ft and its a retic and the average length for a male burm is 12-14 ft usually just 12 and then grows slow and youd have to feed it alot for it to grow to even close to 20 ft and it depends on genetics too how big where the parents but i wouldnt be dissapointed if it didnt get 20 ft they still get huge but nice snake anyway
the way you get your big snakes even bigger is feeding them on rabbits... And the more you feed your snake when its younger usually the bigger its gonna get. altho overfeeding imo is wrong.

Burms have a reputation for being the most docile of the big snakes, but they all have their own personalities. I have 14 snakes right now, along with a Burm about her size... actually mine is a male looking for a mate...

Very nice, I have five snakes, one being a 7 foot albino burm. There needs to be more girls like you where I live...

im gunna keep her of course! lol i love her.. she acts like a dog and follows me everywhere, sometimes shell sleep with me too, and no, shes not planning on eating me haha.

Burms have a reputation for being the most docile of the big snakes, but they all have their own personalities. I have 14 snakes right now, along with a Burm about her size... actually mine is a male looking for a mate...

The snake in the vid? 8-10 feet from my perspective. I have an Albino Burm that looks about the same size. Check him out on my channel!
