I know this comment will get "thumbs down" but I dont care. This is a really dangerous thing to do, I know some things are dangerous, but this is unnecesary. The lines are likely to break, not only do you have a big guy hanging on, you also have another guy pulling him which means its almost like 2 heavy people on 250kg lines...

of course ahaha, that thing is designed to don't fly... if you see, parapents have their air hole pointing down, that + gravity creates air (duh) and lift :D, these kites have the holes pointing at the front...

but the best way is to go with the wind, get a buggy or a board and have it, its a lot safer and the thrills are better

I would recomend a stack of "old school " flexi power kites for this. If one fails theres a lot of others to take over the job of lifting. Also you need a steel spreader bar in front of the harness to stop the load squashing your pelvis from each side. This HAS happened before..beware..and be aware. Fly safe

When the flyer is ready to come down they park the kite at the top and the guys onthe ground walk backwards to control the decent of the flyer. I have found this set up makes a good triangulated system. One word of caution, if any of the bridles on the kite fail under massive load, you will get a cascade effect onto the other bridles which could rip the canopy off completely.

Suspended flying is a team effort, to do it "safely" you need to stay at home! However he is right about the ground anchor being another person. The only way to do it half safely is to have two tethers one coming from each side of the harness to some other guys. This makes a triangle which controls the resistance of the kite when its moving across the sky from side to side. Indeed the ground staff! get dragged down the beach with the flyer.

no, people have died by being tethered to a stationary point, i.e poles, goal posts, trees, stuff like that.

in this video he was tethered to another person, they can move around, and is alot safer.

Doin that on a standard blade your risking either breaking the bridle or ripping the attachment points out of the kite. With a standard harness your seriously in danger of ripping the handle off. Any of that happens, your dead. Assuming you were using 500kg lines too...!
