No, a movie DOES NOT need to be made out of House of Leaves. What kind of ignorant prick do you have to be to suggest that? The contents of that book are so powerful that not even film could depict them as well as HoL. Maybe a Navidson Record movie, but NOT IN ANY WAY A HOUSE OF LEAVES MOVIE.

the force youve used is undoubtedly necesary, there is no possible way a movie could contain the necesary details to support a house of leaves film. but the navidson record, i think if done correctly, could make a great movie.

Fantastic book and fantastic story. And yea, someone DEFINITELY needs to make a movie.

The book is fiction, half the books referenced in the Navidson Record don't exist. At least thats the Government position anyway.

If anyone finds an actual copy of "The Five and a half minute hallway" or "Excursion #4" send me a wave. #3 and #2 were great and just add to this whole mystery.

I loved this book, I've never been so consistently terrified in my life. It will consume you, like it has everyone else.

Only as scary as you make it. It was a beautiful story, much more of a Romance between Navidson and Karen on certain points, but it does give one's heart a good jump when opening doors unknown. Still, the book is a work of art.

It's a song by Poe called "House of Leaves". Poe is the authors sister in real life, she did a soundtrack for the book, it's the entire album and it very much compliments the book in my opinion.

You're welcome.I think it would be best to actually work with MZD on colaborating on certain scenes. IF you could,But Live action would be neat. But here comes the BIG butt, it would be impossible to actually create the entire book. The Navidson Record by all means can be done, (it was supposed to be one anyways)the characters would be tweaked not redone. OR just create the explorations. Remember what leno said: "You know how they filmed the navidson record, they left the lens on!"

i agree, but i dont think its impossible try thinking along the lines of the number 23 and truant, because it sounds like it would work along those lines. i thought it would be cool to actually find videos of the videos in the book, like the 5 and a half minute hallway, etc in little shorts, which could be done, in a blair witch type film/ like u said, the explorations. i dont think i would tweak characters much, since the essence of the characters are symbolic to the horrors of the house
