Stop bickering like children. The Gaelic - Irish and Scottish, are somewhat different from the Celts in Wales, admitted, but when their divide came when centuries before england was conquered. Angles, Saxons, Danes all invaded, and then came the Normans later, England is full of many different lines of ancestry, but give you go far back enough and you get tribes crossing the channel when it was barely a stream it's all moot. Hello AtlanticCross1 and Apemanwithacalculator, first names pls? Wasn't England once called Angland? and did the Celts originally come from somewhere near Greece or have I got that completely wrong?
@saxonwench1 Hi Saxonwench. England once called Angland? I don't recall reading that, but it sounds reasonable. There are still many place names in U.K. originating from old times. I think "Saxon Beach" is still there. Regarding Greece, I recall one argument about the origin of the Welsh people being from Greece. I've read their DNA is close to some Spanish Fisherman. As far as the Celts, best information is "Celtic" was not a people, but a culture, origin, said to be Turkey.
@saxonwench1 Hi Saxonwench. I ran out of words on the first reply. Did want to mention ,I did not even like to say the word "Turkey." Merlin was of Welsh mythology. Although recently there is a claim Merlin originated in England. Google" British Museum Mold Gold Cape," and look at the photos of the solid gold cape found in Wales. Made around 1600-1900 B.C.-----believed to have been worn by a woman----is beautiful. Take Care of the U.K.
@saxonwench1 as a geneticist...many english would be surprised to know how very celtic in origin they are...they just lost the celtic tongues. and became anglo-norman - or english
@saxonwench1 Hello Saxon Wench. What kind of a nick? Well, since all of England was orignally called "North Wales" before the Danes and Saxons arrived, and the original inhabitants, the Welsh, were called, Britains, by the Romans, and, furthermore, since in the days before the Romans, Irish invaded into Wales, not to mention marriages between Welsh/Irish Chieftan families, I'd say your are qualifed to say "part Celt" at the very least, but I'm sure you already knew all of what I said.
@Xyalon Have spent many years reading in the archives of the U.K., and in libraries of various Universities in Scotland, and Wales. The area where present England is located, was most definately referred to as "North Wales." I may have read it on one of the famous ancient surviving literature pieces of Wales. Are probably about a dozen primary pieces of ancient Welsh literature in Wales. It may have been on the origin of the "White Eagle of Wales." In Welsh Folklore.
@Xyalon Ran out of space on reply. The "White Eagle of Wales," was thought to have originated in Old Welsh Folklore. The Britons were thought to have believed the "White Eagle" would return and drive the Angles/Saxons or Danes from their lands in North Wales.
"North Wales" as used, was to identify the area of "Northern Wales." England did not exist, was all Wales. Was used the same as Northern Scotland/Southern Scotland. No offence intented here, I am pro Scot, English, Wales, and Irish.
@AtlanticCross1 When you say Pro, what do you mean? As for the text, I don't know if you are referring to the Mabinogion or something else like that, or an earlier text. I live in Wales, though I am originally English. What we know now as Wales, Cumbria and Scotland were, once, all part of one kingdom. But it was never called NORTH wales as the concept of naming something "North" anything is only a recent form of terminology. I can only assume that you are referring to the time>
@AtlanticCross1 before the Roman invasion. The various different tribes of Celts who were not conquered were already divided then and had already begun to develop their own language. The welsh word for England, however, translates to "the lost lands" and has been in use since the conquest. After the romans left, and with the invasions of the angles and saxons, they became the most predominant people and Anglo-saxon was the prime language. The celts never truly came back into>
@AtlanticCross1 England, the name which derives from Aengelend, or land of the angles. It was previously referred to as Brittania by the romans, even before their invasion, and Albion by the greeks in their description of far off lands. What they referred to themselves as is largely meaningless as Britain existed as a nation of independent tribes, and as such had no national identity beyond their own tribes. It wasn't needed. I also mean no offense here but I know my own history.
@Apemanwithcalculator As a geneticist you should know that heredity, culture/language and ethnic identity have nothing in common. Anyway, it's unclear who really celts were and if they were even present in the British Isles.
@Apemanwithcalculator That doesn't agree with recent results released in the U.K. Recent results stated many English would be surprised to realize how German they are. Lets not overlook both the Danes and Saxons were Germanic peoples. Not to mention the English language was originally called "Anglish," a mixture of Angles language, from Danes, and Saxon Language, from Saxons. Anglish/AngSaxo/English.
This is a great vid, I like it. You know I often find a lot of offending comments about other people's vids. It's not cool guys, show some respect for other people's creativity, I'm sure you wouldn't like someone saying something bad about your vid.

I believe she is so Incredibly beautiful in this video. If only the world was full of more Enya like singers: she is definitely one of a kind. Thankfully she is not having to be told what to sing, or what to look like from the Music Industry from the Mind controlled Britney Spears. I feel bad for Britney, and all the abuse she has had in her life. Enya is a Breathe of Fresh Air in Music!
Music for the television documentary "The Celts" from way back in 1987, when Enya was still getting her footing as a soloist and no longer with the family band, Clannad. Currently working on a new album which may be released by 2012.
We shouldn't call ourselves celts anymore, there are new Irish here now and they are not celts. This is very racist, we need to stop this racism. You are not celts anymore, they are gone, that is finished, this is the new ireland, and we ar enow mature enough to be like any other european country. We now have loads of new irish and will have loads more in the years ahead when more are born, so the celts are gone, deal with it,and get ready for the new brown super Mix.Thx for reading, peace out
@EmeraldPeaceSuperMix So it is racist for a native american to call himself Cherokee? He is American, and he lives within American society. However, as he remembers his "primitive" tribal heritage, he calls himself "Cherokee" rather than "Native American" or "Indian." Forgetting your heritage isn't mature, it's a loss. Sure you can call yourself Irish because that's what you are, as you live in that country, but your heritage dictates that your ancestors were Celtic, and therefore you are a Celt
@EmeraldPeaceSuperMix call yourself anything you want.. but I prefer to call myself a Celt because that is what I am. You can be what you want & I will be what I am.
dont be silly, the celts were never in ireland, lolz, besides, you are being racist. we have tons of brown people and black people from africa and asia here with their more exciting and more peaceful cultures. soon white europe will be finished and we will have a new brown super race Mix of brown and light brown people, you need to adapt or get blown by the wayside. plus your being racist and a hater, peace out people.

I'm damn proud of my heritage, they came america on my mom's side quite a while ago , over 200 yrs, and we possess quite some unique abilities apart from most cultures, My fathers family has half irish too.I know me and my sisters have mixed our line with those of latin origins combining the 2, but my kids pose alot of resistance to looking brown.
the phoenicians(basque people) named and settled the british isles and ireland, its called british cos of the phoenicians(basques)n british culture was the culture of the phoenicians not the anglosaxons..why wasnt this taught at schools? fuckin ungrateful bastards
You may be rite ? As the film is pieced together. But bear in mind she is Irish from Northern part of Donegal County. In 12/2003 I was personally in her castle that she bought in Wexford Ireland. It was being brought up to modern standards.I was the guest of my Uncle who was the archetect as I am. He showed me the renivation under way 2003. But much better things to do than Google You Tube Flicks. How old were you in 2003 anyway ?. Slainte, Maolra
Amazing video, music blessed by God, and probably the best living author and performator of traditional music that reminds us, European people of our Hyperborean heritage and Primordial Tradition spirit, and which is best expressed through the music, customs and lifestyle of the old Celts. Greetings from Serbia! Поздрави из Србије!
And how many Americans mispronounce "Celts?" They think the basketball team, unfortunately, instead of the REAL pronunciation, which is "Kelts" not "Selts."
If you refer to the start of the video, you realise that the box contains a crown. Now we need to let our imagination free to understand the meaning of this allegory...

It is you who are wrong.the Norman comment. How many times had war and rape when those 2 conquered each other. What? That did not happen.. Ask the women.. After all the years no one has understood that you are the same? Keltic..Celtic and Norman..It's your tribe.. Enya is a teacher..
Do you even know the private life if this bitch? She might even be the biggest one on the moore.
Also, I seriously doubt the Celts were this clean. Amongst the human sacrifices and the short lifespan of the day these innocent little girls would probably be married already to men in their 30's. Cooking, Cleaning and having babies with NO backtalk or questioning allowed.
I'm almost positive that whatever guy paid for them got his monies worth unlike today.
@kpreston69 god bless the whores exist(prostitutes) we man we need them but not in the television .that was my main point.me in the mtv, vh1 etc. i wanna hear music and se music videos not girls in bikkini okay u see my point now?i dont have nothin against whores.but im all against indecent videos.in the private life enya can be the most whore but in the music videos she isnt so i respect her for that.
@kpreston69 and btwen next time ask me some questions with a base ur questions have no logic i dont understand what u was realy meaning with the celts, i tell u, i fkin DONT care what the celts was doinback then.
@istenfassza The sad thing is that many of them ARE very talented, have fantastic voices, but I believe they are probably forced to dress and act like sluts in their videos because they are told that 'sex sells' =/
@MsElise2009 tell me one whos tallented out there pls, i mean talented not good voice i know people with good voice but very few are talented, il give u 1 example maddona have a good voice, but shes not talented, u know whos talented? il tell u a few ,Tina Turner,Gloria Gaynor, Freedie Mercury ,Bon Scot, Michael Jackson, those are talents.
@margarita040791 and what ?? money is the views? noppppe, how many albums she sold thats the succes not how many kidds watched the utube video on internet, i think she sold more than miley cirus etc. she was in lord of the rings soundtrack also , and she one of the most richest in her country so..... she have succes.
@istenfassza I believe so) but it is what I'd like kids to watch - I grew up on really good things, and I am horrified when I see what people watch today. It is future of Earth, after all. Why I'm saying - I will definitely let my children watch Enya))))
@margarita040791 "her 2000 album A Day Without Rain sold 15 million copies and she was named the world's best selling female artist of 2001. She is Ireland's best-selling solo musician and is officially the country's second-largest musical export after the band U2. Her album sales were more than 75 million worldwide, with over 26 million in album sales in the US. Her work has earned her four Grammy awards and an Academy Award nomination."
@istenfassza even talented women have to dress like whores to get the attention their video deserves. Whats that saying? don't hate the player, hate the game. or something like that
When I want to hear relaxing music, especially with this tinnitus I've been having for over a month, I enjoy her music. She has a wonderful voice and her videos are great.
Modern genetic studies, published as "The History and Geography of Human Genes" (Luca Cavalli-Sforza, Paolo Menozzi and Alberto Piazza), divides humanity into four major ethnic regions, African (Khoisan), Caucasoids (Basque), Mongoloids (American Indian) and Australians (Aborigine) (Time, No. 3, 1995).
@Katragew She was actually hired to sing a song for Lord of the Rings and is a part of the soundtrack, so that could be why you think this is familiar.
You have no idea how fuckin I love all of you Celts...

It was being brought up to modern standards.I was the guest of my Uncle who was the archetect as I am. He showed me the renivation under way 2003. But much better things to do than Google You Tube Flicks. How old were you in 2003 anyway ?. Slainte, Maolra
Maolra 3 months ago
@Maolra Enya's castle isn't in Wexford, it's in County Dublin.

OMG people, the Celts occupied Scotland all the way to Eastern Ukraine, with short stints in Rome and Hellenistic areas, give or take a few wars.
Enya's video takes place in France, which is an area representative of the core Celtic origins dating back to the 6th century BC

This is how womens should dress in music videos, not like today, today they dress like whores to atract views caz they're untalented
istenfassza 4 months ago 106
@istenfassza I totaly agree nowadays its all how close you can get to nudity. so amen to that one.
dragondreamer1998 4 months ago
@istenfassza What's wrong with whores?
I'm almost positive that whatever guy paid for them got his monies worth unlike today.
kpreston69 4 months ago
@kpreston69 god bless the whores exist(prostitutes) we man we need them but not in the television .that was my main point.me in the mtv, vh1 etc. i wanna hear music and se music videos not girls in bikkini okay u see my point now?i dont have nothin against whores.but im all against indecent videos.in the private life enya can be the most whore but in the music videos she isnt so i respect her for that.

@istenfassza The sad thing is that many of them ARE very talented, have fantastic voices, but I believe they are probably forced to dress and act like sluts in their videos because they are told that 'sex sells' =/
MsElise2009 3 months ago
@MsElise2009 tell me one whos tallented out there pls, i mean talented not good voice i know people with good voice but very few are talented, il give u 1 example maddona have a good voice, but shes not talented, u know whos talented? il tell u a few ,Tina Turner,Gloria Gaynor, Freedie Mercury ,Bon Scot, Michael Jackson, those are talents.

hortulanus94 3 months ago in playlist YouTube Mix for Enya
@istenfassza I absolutely agree. But, unfortunately, it works - this video has only 766770 views.
margarita040791 3 months ago
@margarita040791 and what ?? money is the views? noppppe, how many albums she sold thats the succes not how many kidds watched the utube video on internet, i think she sold more than miley cirus etc. she was in lord of the rings soundtrack also , and she one of the most richest in her country so..... she have succes.
istenfassza 3 months ago
@istenfassza I believe so) but it is what I'd like kids to watch - I grew up on really good things, and I am horrified when I see what people watch today. It is future of Earth, after all. Why I'm saying - I will definitely let my children watch Enya))))
margarita040791 3 months ago
@margarita040791 "her 2000 album A Day Without Rain sold 15 million copies and she was named the world's best selling female artist of 2001. She is Ireland's best-selling solo musician and is officially the country's second-largest musical export after the band U2. Her album sales were more than 75 million worldwide, with over 26 million in album sales in the US. Her work has earned her four Grammy awards and an Academy Award nomination."
So it looks like views don't matter.
Midnightmoon1209 3 months ago
@istenfassza even talented women have to dress like whores to get the attention their video deserves. Whats that saying? don't hate the player, hate the game. or something like that
