I only needed to see how to get this ridiculous case off of my iPod and ended up ripping it off while trying to watch this slimy review. My dad has this for his iPhone. He is a construction person and does very heavy work and the otterbox defender for there g iPhone has proved to be awesome. The only thing about it is the bulk. The bulk isn't too bad though. About 89% rating in my book for the otterbox defender. I want to get one for my iPod touch soo bad.

This may seem like it's impossible to do by accident but it WAS an accident!

I accidentally flung my ipod touch 3rd gen 32 gig about 8 feet at a high speed with the glass directly hitting VERY hard pavement and the glass cracked SO MUCH... that thing was so expensive (for a kid) i'm so sad :(

I'm having it fixed right now and I want a REALLY protective case cause knowing me, that might happen again (i'm ADHD :P)

If that happens again, will it be protected completely if i get that case?

Careful guys, the clip mechanism that holds the two plastic clams together CAN break. So there is quality control problem related to the product. Otterbox needs to do a better job.

All electronics let out heat, which is why they have vents on things such as computers and playstations. Ipods let out heat through the charging slot and other openings. Try covering the vents on your computer and see how long it lasts.

I thought the review was actually lacking in a lot of very important things and very basic. Because I don't have much space here, I'll keep it short First, although its a tight silicon, its still a lint catcher. The way the case is made, its very difficult to clear the lint away from certain spots (the sides of the screen and the light sensor) Second, the plastic screen gathers fingerprints like crazy and very quickly. The feel of that plastic takes away a great deal from the feeling of the

Yes, I was replying to you. I'm sorry for assuming you were being an ass. This is a case that will protect everything on your ipod. Very well too. You could also consider a capsule rebel with a screen shield, for looks and protection (will do just fine against a table or in you pocket, and dusnt collect lint). Defender is a tank of a case, but well designed and brings a new feel to the device. It might be too much defense, but if you don't mind that go w/ the defender. Hope that helped

no. It doesn't. The problem isn't so much the layers of the protectors, but rather the space between the protector built in to the case and the actual ipod.
