@captainshitto it comes from Prometheus the mythological bringer of fire. The fire represents knowledge, and the gods punished him for bringing humanity knowledge. Therion is the mythical "beast" of revelations or "beast" in greek. Its an amalgamation of the two words and I think it refers to the idea of the idea of knowledge equating to that of gods and how that it was what religions fear.
