  • Very smart little girl, very intelligent.

  • This is why don't live in the Dallas area

but i would still like to live in Atlanta lol

  • The dispatcher was a moron. She has had the training and had been on the job for some time prior to this call and she swore that the brother was the robber. She should have been fired for not trying to clarifying everything first.

  • was this in arlington tx cause i live there and that the only reason i clicked it

  • Its amazing how kids back then spoke much more adult-like.

  • aww soo sad i like this show soo much!!

  • omg, this is intense.

  • I've asked that question a million times since Sept 11, 2001.

'If it had to happen to somebody, why did it happen to Eric? (my husband, daughter's dad.)

My friend Al is an actor, and he's done reenactments like this before. Not for 911. He wasn't even out of high school when 911 ended.

  • WOW that was some intense call from that brave little girl.

  • here's what would be a real find if it was here the original Pilot version of this segment.

  • fyi a latter season segment "Bath trapped mommy" took place in arlington texas.

  • Laura sure is really brave lol If that happend to me I would seek into my room and call the cops..

  • If you listen to the opening theme song this was the 911 call they used during the opening.

  • 2:04 its freedy krueger time!!!!!!!!111 lolz

  • wow :(

  • the actors are buddy, dale, laura, and the burglars.

  • omg, that made me cry =(

  • I bet buddy, laura, and dale hollingsworth would make another appearance on a show called "Obsessed" maybe about burglars.

  • hey I think cbs has this version plus the original "ARLINGTON" pilot I think they should put that up on their youtube site?

  • When she says "There's somebody in my house." to the dispatcher. I believe it was in one of the opening title sequences.

  • yeah it is in the intro.

  • OMG.

  • this dispatcher is nuts. ur brother has the knife, what?

  • 4:38 is in the intro definitely.

  • This is Too Intense.

  • wow now im kinda worried i live in arlington tx besides its a dangerous place we only moved here becuz of my dads job

  • is he white black or hispanic? wow

  • OMG.

  • oh shit

  • Well, I Wouldn't worry about anyone coming in my house, because I've got two Dobermen Pinschers Named, Spike and Tyke. and They don't Like Strangers.

  • Hey, kids watch these movies. Kids learn from these movies. Watch your language because they learn from that too, whether you like it or not.

  • wtf is that dispatcher serious???

Why would you ask the girl such a pointless question when her life is at stake?? do you really think she has time to answer if the guy is white black or hispanic?

  • Well, that information is necessary for the police to identify the man. It was the heat of the moment, but it was still important to ask if the girl could describe him.

  • i know?

  • this segment needs something more, Annotations during the segment,1.this segment created rescue 911 etc.

  • Not meaning to be rude here Gregor, but how many times have you said that already? LOL!

  • did the "Pilot Episode" version of this segment also have shatner's quote that actors have helped us reconstruct the events?

  • Probably.

  • ive seen this episode

  • Why is this video no longer available? Can somebody please put it back up and let me know?

  • What video?

  • Hi allgood the annotations could go great during this segment not at the end for example before the phone call in this segment you should've said the 9-1-1- call you are about to hear is the inspiration for rescue 9-1-1- and at the opening this was the segment that inspired 911.

  • Hi allgood when April, 18 comes can you design a google page dealing with the Pilot episode of 911 with this clip attached? also a related page for May.

  • would anyone happen to have the Geraldo clip that talks about this segment?

  • What is that!

  • the Geraldo talk show of the 80's that talks about this story.

  • what is what?

  • do you have the episode where the mother writes in her daughters coloring book to call 911?

  • yes I think he has it I know what you mean, Shatner opens with "This story may be too intense for some viewers".

  • What episode is that? I don't think I ever saw that one.

  • what episode?, the "pilot" the pilots were considered the 2 specials before the series #101

  • I was asking about the episode where a woman writes in her daughter's coloring book, telling her to call 911.

  • #604 "Father stabs mother"

  • How did she manage to write that in Christina's coloring book without the Dad noticing?

  • i think dad wasn't paying attention to her doing that and just talking to her.

  • She walked over to her daughter and told her that she needed to stay inside the lines when she was coloring, and she took the book and said something like "Here, let mommy fix it," and when she handed the coloring book back to her daughter, it said "Call 911". That's "911 Christina's Call" from Episode 604. BeatleMoe uploaded it a while back.

  • Hi allgood you should make an (Audio-only) clip of this Famous 9-1-1- call.

  • It sounds like the door being kicked in was in slow motion or slow sound or something.

  • Most of the re-enactment from the time the robber kicks the door in to the time the music stops is in slow motion.

  • I love the way Shatner does his first voice-over narration. It's so chilling!

  • you mean the "Actors have helped us reconstruct the nightmarish events that happened in the Hollingsworth house"

  • That's the one!

  • fucking scary omfg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you don't know i'm new so hello

  • I feel very bad for this family i'm very scared of burglars and i live Jacksonville where crime happens a lot

  • this is soooooo scary did the burglar die does anyone know

  • Yes, they tell you that in part 2.

  • I wonder when laura yells buddy when shapiro and his staff listened to the whole 9-1-1- call, shapiro made his mind that this should become a series about true emergency calls?, what do you think?

  • I wonder when shapiro heard this whole 9-1-1- call and Laura yells "oh god buddy" he may has finally decided that Rescue 9-1-1- should become a series about true EMERGENCY CALLS.

  • Things like this is what makes me afraid of the dark.. I always hold my mobile phone at night switched on just incase..

  • Hi allgood have you ever seen the Turner Classic Movies special 100 years at the movies, how about making a spoof called 100 years of rescue 911 with this segment along with other classic Rescue 911 moments?

  • speaking of the freddy krueger reference, the 3rd segment from Episode #107 makes a reference to the 1903 western crime/drama film "The great train robbery" because of the way the 3 men enter and the taping of the boy's mouth.

  • laura's cool. plus it think he said that

  • I love seeing bad guys get busted

  • lol I was watching C.O.P.S. the other day and as the guy who was running from the cops got out of his car he was wearing a C.O.P.S. t-shirt and the police officers said, "Oh now that's cute." "That's very funny." lol

  • I saw that show 2

  • me too

  • The girl gets the Dictaphone going round and round as she reports the call lol

  • is it really "Freddy Krueger time"?

  • Why does that guy think it's Freddy Krueger??

Does he think he's a wise-cracking killer with knives as finger-nails with a red and green sweater!

  • it menas i am going to kill u limb from limb or something thats how the flim got its name

  • how old wos kids

  • O.o Did he actually say *Its Freddy Kruger time???*

  • yes lol turn your volume up and listen at 2:09

  • when she screams out buddy, doesnt it remind you of fried green tomatoes

  • the intro of this show should've showed laura's scared face as she said "oh god buddy" LOL.

  • go to tvshowsondvd, com and vote on rescue 911 to come out on dvd, rescue 911 has 433 votes for a dvd release

  • I can just imagine the burglar breaking into the house, screaming "It's Freddy Kruger time!" and the son either slashes him up with a sword imitating Freddy Kruger or unloading a 9mm handgun or shotgun at his head and say, "Oh, yeah, it IS Freddy Kruger time!" Bye, Freddy! :)

  • LOL! That was so funny!

  • hows that funny

  • The Idea of Buddy slashing up the robber or unloading a 9 Millimeter into his head and saying, "Yeah, it's Freddy Crooger time. Bye Freddy!" Did you not see betatalk357's comment? I thought the way betatalk357 worded his or her comment was funny. Take another look.

  • Very confusing call. "A guy is in the house with a gun, the dad has a knife, the brother got a knife, they stabbed the guy, the guy stabbed the dad, the brother brother tried to stab the guy but missed and ended up stabbing the dad.... Hell, just arrest all of them! They're busy stabbing and shooting each other!"

  • If i saw that guy,i'd kick him in the face with a golf shoe

  • My parents have a cordless phone so if somebody was trying to kill us I'll have it in my room in hide in the closet in my room

  • If I was staying with my mom and daddy and somebody

broke in my parents house I have my own phone in my room

  • ):): OMG! I ALMOST CRIED!

  • I'm surprised the burglar wasn't looking for the little girl... that she didn't have to hide with the phone or anything. What a confusing phone call too...

  • The burglar was too busy fighting with her dad. I think he knew she was on the phone, because in the recording you can hear him shout something like, "I'll kill your dad!"

  • When's that?

  • got a question what parts of this 9-1-1- call was the inspiration for the creation for Rescue 9-1-1-, was it this entire 9-1-1- recording as shown in this segment?

  • There were probably parts that were edited out since Shatner said the call was 13 minutes. I think the whole call was the inspiration for the show.

  • I remember seeing this when I was 8 years old... It scared me to death! I still got chills even today when the burgler says "It's Freddy Kruger time!" Great video!

  • I am SO blessed that this stuff doesn't happen to me, thank you God.

  • OMG that POOR little girl. I want to cuddle her xoxo

  • buddy friggin OWNED the robber.

  • How?

  • He blew him away with the shotgun

  • That was right before Laura said something like, "Oh my gosh he killed the guy.! wasn't it? There are two different parts of this where you hear shots.

  • It's freddy kruger time!!! hahaha

  • That's why I loved this segment! He must have seen Nightmare On Elm Street to many times!!

  • Did Freddy Crooger say that a lot?

  • Freddy never said that line in any of the Elm Street movies I think. The burglar was just referencing his character because Freddy was a filthy child murderer who is a favorite villian among horror fans.

  • That intruder is kind of funny in a way because he's got some major problems. My guess is he may have been gone off something when he kicked in the door.

  • Wow, this IS scary...totally crazy that a home invader would literally bust down the door and point a gun at innocent folks

  • Definitely one of the scarier segments I remember!

  • Argeed. I had nightmares about it for two weeks.

  • I dont get it, why would they show this segment again from the Pilot episode to Episode #116?

  • I guess they didn't have enough segments to fill up an episode, so they decided to re-use one. They might have also done that for people who missed the pilot episode.

  • sounds reasonable to me?

  • Great Suspense, Great Show
