Yeah you posted this video about a pure DEX AoE Ranger, but if you see your flaw in pure DEX is that you only get about 20 something mobs. if you had some Sta equips or stats you would be able to get 35-45 mobs : )

Having STA wouldn't make me level faster, not at all. Maybe I would be able to take more monsters - but if there aren't any more monsters that's no use. Having full-DEX makes you kill faster and thus do more AoEs per unit time.
@SideRizzle Adding a few STA won't change a lot to that either way. Asal will still 1-hit you and sonic hand will still stunlock you to dead. Hero or not. To survive HoP you will need damn nice equip as well.
Either way, this is a PvM build anyway. PvM is all Flyff is good for. The PvP in Flyff sucks, or I should say "sucked when I still played", cannot give my opinion of the current version, but doubt it changed a lot. Classes simply weren't near to being balanced in PvP (PvM neither actually)
@SideRizzle Also, don't forget that a full-DEX Ranger maxes his block earlier than a STA Ranger, making me tanky. Until a certain extend, nearly as tanky as a STA Ranger in fact.
Furthermore, don't forget that this is about 5 or 6 versions back in time. We had much less content than there is now.
Either way, you're right about one thing: I do recommend 30-40STA rest DEX and not full DEX. Despite that I do believe full-DEX is better if you can only control it properly (i.e. not die).

In "duo AoE" two equally leveled AoE-ers gather a bunch of monsters at 2 sides of the field and fhen come together to the boundary of the two fields. (Boundary = right before the monsters in your AoE will run off due to the distance). Now you finish them off together. Like this the killing speed is twice as fast, but you'll have to tank without a RM. Usually a BP/RM AoE is a nice partner due buffs.

@naughtySallo If you don't want to AoE, you shouldn't, as only fun will get you up.
However, a 1v1 ranger has a HUGE disadvantage: BJ has everything you have, but much more CRate. 1v1 ranger is only better than a 1v1 ranger in case you have ultimate bow + "idk how much", which requires MUCH money. And you gotta get to maximise your CRate...
Basically, Ranger is a pure AoE class, as BJs have more 1v1 power if you ain't REAL rich. That's why people tell you to AoE.
@tronsmale As far as my research, and mostly KeydosBro777's research, who did even more research than I did, goes, arrow glitch doesn't depend on a.speed.
KeydosBro777 found that at certain movement speed values, there is no arrow glitch at all. I found a relation between lag and terrain, which might be caused by one and the same thing. Basically, my outcome said that more lag = more glitch, and more mountains = more glitch. This basically means azria is a huge pain.
@tronsmale His research had a great outcome. There was (in case of no extreme lag) NO arrow glitch in these speed values:
38% resp. 88%. This is max quick step (30%) + 8% from awakes/piercing. The 88% is 38%+fastwalker%(50). This was the only reasonable combo he found (combo as in with and without fast walker).
As you probably level without max quick step at your level, you might want to try out some other speed values. Yet one thing is for sure: your m.speed DOES cause/prevent the glitch.
@tronsmale Of course, there are more theories we made up:
"ArrowGlitch occurs less often if you face the target at the moment the arrowdamage impacts", as most people have turned to a next target to gather fast. Doubt it's true atm.
"You may not walk after having shot your arrow, else the game "forgets" (memory leak) who shot the arrow", opposite is proven by my YJ.
Yes, the arrowglitch isn't just for arrows... It's for everyone. But due the ranger's speed, rangers suffer the most: ARROWglitch.

but acording to some research is the combination of aspeed and walking speed, if your aspeed have arrow glitch you must increase walking speed or things like that, and its like you said there are spots where there is no arrow glitch, beside we must think about the time before the game reacts to the attack, cause if you attack a target he will have like 2 or 3 secs before he reacts to the attack. i guess the theories are incomplete but thanks
@tronsmale Fair is fair, we didn't research a.speed, but why would we? A Ranger always has maxed aspeed. Lategame, you just have it and early game Ranger has "Fast Shot".
So basically, all our findings are with 100% a.speed.
The delay in damage isn't called the "arrow glitch". If the damage delays, the monster will still go for you. Problem is that some hits don't hit at all. My theory was a theory as a coder: "damage source is lost if you walk", but I hope flyff is smarter than that... (hope)

@FrozenCure hey, when u say 30~40 stat, do u mean put in literally 30 points into sta? or until it reaches the # 30? so u start off with 15 right? im not sure if u want that to become 30 as in putting 15 points, or to put 30points which will then make it 45.
@Keitrance I've got this kind of "when to press" of all +X-+(X+1) written down. I wrote down when I succeeded a certain upgrade and retried it at a different weapon and really felt like my chance was much higher.
How is respectively 21 and 19 spros from +0 to +10? Might be coincidence, yet this makes me superstitious.
This worked on weapons... Didn't test set parts. Yet it's an interesting thought.

@DudeFromSWE It's a lot harder, as your block isn't finished yet. But on the other hand, with full-dex your block kicks in much earlier as with a STA build. Yet, at 60-90 your block will probably not be perfect yet, as you're going to need your lv105 set for it, so in those lower levels STA could be useful. (But taking more sta means taking less dex and thus dealing less dmg etc.:
The faster you kill, the shorter you need to tank).
With full-dex, you'll simply need to time running (and H&R).
i am a full dex ranger.. if i reach level 105, how many points will i add to STA? since everybody said we will need a little cushion on 105+ because mobs hit harder..
@SuperYoungDJ Best tip I have is "go AoE, lol". A full-dex ranger can AoE, so why would you ever go 1v1? I mean, BJs will outdamage rangers 1v1 (ranger can win at higher levels (master+), but only with ultimate weapons and such), but in AoE, rangers are the fastest levelers in flyff.

@cherub0nyx Nop, I'm multitasking. This basically means I'm controlling both my RM (laptop) as my ranger (normal computer) at the same time. This makes leveling harder, but at the same time it's much more fun, since it's harder. At least, that's how I experience it. Furthermore, both my RM as my ranger gain exp (if in the same party), so it could actually be more efficient as leveling both separated.

With other words, I've got 2 hands and a brain. I made a mechanical construction to hold my healbutton while AoE-ing. However, SF/GT/healrain I cast manually (= with my hands).
Let's me tell you something, without Ringmaster healing you would probably be dead by now. So for those people who watching this video and want to follow his path by only up DEX, I suggested not to do so.
"without a RM you would probably be dead by now" --> false.
Without a RM you are able to tank less time straight, but it doesn't mean you're dead instantly. A pro ranger won't die with full-dex 'because he doesn't have a RM'. Only crits will own him, but even with a RM you're dead like that.
I've known rangers who have been plvled all the way up to 120. Or they had a tanker all the time, because they couldn't survive. They even died with 2 healers. And those weren't even full-dex...
It's about the person. If you're the right person, you are able to handle full-dex. Only skilled people can handle full-dex. You gotta run in-time and continue to H&R until your pill CD is ready for a new tanking sequence.
Apparently you aren't the right person, which means you can't handle full-dex. But then you may conclude that YOU are unable to do it. It doesn't mean it's impossible.
OR you are only a ~lv60. Full-dex is hard at lower levels. At lv100+ you'll become a beast.
Ranger has no problems to max skills. Not at all. If you have a problem with a ranger, don't ever make a RM or elementor, lol xD Perfect Block Fast Walker Bow Mastery Autoshot (PvP) Arrowrain Flame Arrow Ice Arrow Piercing Arrow Silent Arrow (lv75) (PvP) rest is optional.
I recommend 30-40sta rest dex as clean build, but if you can achieve 54sta with pure awakenings, I'd certainly go for full-dex. Then I suppose you have enough money to afford it.

You are only level 81. You have to few DEX for a nice blockrate and you have to few STA for a nice value of HP. Until level 90 a ranger ain't easy, but afterwards you'll be a beast.
I always recommend 30-40sta rest dex, but you'll be fine with 60sta. Also, your gear should be fine for now. Later, in azria, you'll make enough money to get a +8 set.

I have a question again^^.I now have finally my complete Oska Set(awaked, not upgraded yet).The Awake on my Suit ist +400Mp and is states with 2 Dex and 3 Sta, i wanted a Sta awake but i didnt find one.I used the Char Sim and when the Set is +8 i would have on lvl 80 with my Abow ~ 8,2k Hp and ~ 50% Melle Block. Is it enough Hp and could i Aoe at Augus then?(8,2k Hp with Att Pierce, not Hp).

Ranger is only good in PvP if you are damn rich. My ranger's gear is currently worth 8b (jewel less) and I hit 2k in PvP. This is with PvM gear though.
Now, let's gear a BP with 8b. 80k dmg, easily.
Though, if you gear a ranger with 80b... You'll deal 125k dmg, and I can ensure this, since a friend of mine achieved that.
Best for PvP is BP, since it's overpowered. Blade is good if you have some money. YJ is good versus weaker people, or versus stronger if you are rich.
Hi FrozenCure, you told me to upgrade the npc set to +3, which I have done, but I have a question Okas set, what monsters does it drop from, and what should I upgrade it too?

+8 set is superior (>) to an ultimate weapon for an AoE-er imo.
Of course +10 is better, in fact, I think even a +10 set is superior to an ultimate weapon. Set is most important for an AoE-er, and the weapon for a 1on1-er.
SO:
+8 set >>> ultimate weapon
+10 set > ultimate weapon
Though it might not be worth it to get a lv75 set +10, so I'd go for +8 set. But +6... just no.
My first char was a ranger which I retired @ lv23 cos I put str (you need dex).
Afterwards I made a psykeeper which became lv65.
Afterwards many chars followed, but none of them passed lv70.
Then my RM came, he hit lv100.
After my RM, but ranger rised, and he became hero.
So no, it isn't my first char. I was playing flyff for almost 2 years when I made him. And ye... he was my first step to success. Take the class you like, and you'll get the farest.

that arrow glitch sure slow down the gathering speed, however once you reach 100% aspeed i think the arrow glitch get reduced by a lot
i have a lvl 72 full dex ranger too o.o
it have a +3 gbow +3 fire and a +4 cruiser xD
with arek +5 +6 marksman necklace +3 and demols +12 x2
i can aoe faster than most of people but somehow i take a few risk, thats why most rm dont want to aoe with me >_<
but oh well ive been aoeing solo lately but exp sucks -.-

LGBow gives ADoCH or smth, that's for BJs and 1v1 Rangers.
On top of that angel bow is cheaper than LGBow, cos only rangers use it.
Asren should speak for itself. Look to it's set effects and you know why.

Full-dex requires a +8 set when you're gonna AoE.
30-40sta rest dex is a more common build for less wealthy rangers.

@Keitrance Expected value from +9-+10 is 50 spros.
I don't know if you're superstitious, but try this:
To get your item from +9-+10 use your spro. Now, these are the moment I had succes:
1) Click the sunstone RIGHT AWAY and quickly click on your item.
2) Wait for the effect of the spros reach your feet. At that moment, select the sunstone and click your item as soon as possible.
I've had 2 trials in the first method and 5 trials in the second method on a weapon. Coincidence? Maybe.

i am a full dex ranger.. if i reach level 105, how many points will i add to STA? since everybody said we will need a little cushion on 105+ because mobs hit harder..

@DonnaDiggory Actually, from 105+ it gets easier because your block is maximising with your lv105 set.
But when you hit 115+ we can use some sta for the forsaken tower.

@SuperYoungDJ Best tip I have is "go AoE, lol". A full-dex ranger can AoE, so why would you ever go 1v1? I mean, BJs will outdamage rangers 1v1 (ranger can win at higher levels (master+), but only with ultimate weapons and such), but in AoE, rangers are the fastest levelers in flyff.

@pserver4ever With a red scroll = 1.8x damage. Please compare realistic: red scrolls didn't exist yet in this version.
The Crystal/Lusaka bows didn't exist either. Elementing didn't go past+10 yet, etc.
You can't compare v15 damage with v11... Even the damageformulas of multiple races have changed.

- Link Attack gives you +10% / member instead of +10% / member who selects the same. So basically you get 180% dmg instead of 110/120%.

@cherub0nyx Nop, I'm multitasking. This basically means I'm controlling both my RM (laptop) as my ranger (normal computer) at the same time. This makes leveling harder, but at the same time it's much more fun, since it's harder. At least, that's how I experience it. Furthermore, both my RM as my ranger gain exp (if in the same party), so it could actually be more efficient as leveling both separated.

With other words, I've got 2 hands and a brain. I made a mechanical construction to hold my healbutton while AoE-ing. However, SF/GT/healrain I cast manually (= with my hands).

If you "are being plvled" someone else [mostly 15-19 levels above you] is fighting, while you are leeching exp.

Let's me tell you something, without Ringmaster healing you would probably be dead by now. So for those people who watching this video and want to follow his path by only up DEX, I suggested not to do so.

Without a RM you are able to tank less time straight, but it doesn't mean you're dead instantly. A pro ranger won't die with full-dex 'because he doesn't have a RM'. Only crits will own him, but even with a RM you're dead like that.
I've known rangers who have been plvled all the way up to 120. Or they had a tanker all the time, because they couldn't survive. They even died with 2 healers. And those weren't even full-dex...

It's about the person. If you're the right person, you are able to handle full-dex. Only skilled people can handle full-dex. You gotta run in-time and continue to H&R until your pill CD is ready for a new tanking sequence.
Apparently you aren't the right person, which means you can't handle full-dex. But then you may conclude that YOU are unable to do it. It doesn't mean it's impossible.
OR you are only a ~lv60. Full-dex is hard at lower levels. At lv100+ you'll become a beast.

level "hero" bow (Ancient)
Use a lv90 angel bow from lv90 to hero (though you might get a vampire/bloody bow, it's personal preference).

I recommend 30-40sta rest dex as clean build, but if you can achieve 54sta with pure awakenings, I'd certainly go for full-dex. Then I suppose you have enough money to afford it.

ATT pierce is the best.
30-40sta rest dex is best build imo.
Element your suit as high as possible, but stick with +3 if you cannot afford changing element all the time.
Set preferably +10, else +8, else +6. The higher it is, the faster you level.

I've mainly earned that money by AoE-ing yes. Though, I've sold lv40+ parties (3m~10m/day) when I finished AoE-ing.
Also, I've been reselling sunstones/moonstones a little bit, but I didn't earn thát much I think. 100m max (in that time period)

You are only level 81. You have to few DEX for a nice blockrate and you have to few STA for a nice value of HP. Until level 90 a ranger ain't easy, but afterwards you'll be a beast.
I always recommend 30-40sta rest dex, but you'll be fine with 60sta. Also, your gear should be fine for now. Later, in azria, you'll make enough money to get a +8 set.

hey man i have a duude, im a ranger lvl 81, have the oska set + 5 and the hat and the suit +6, have two rigns of STA +6, one gore + 6 and two plugs + 4, i have the ivillies bow and i only have 5900 of life, i have 60 STA and the ress in DEX but i think i'm noob =X i need more life and more dagame, my damage with my bow sick, in arena only i do 500 or with luck 700 can you tellme plis what i need????

In the arena you need a different class. Ranger can PvP, with the hero weapon. Before that, it's pretty fail.
Ranger is the fastest leveler however (imo), so that's your advantage. You should love PvM if you choose ranger.

I have a question again^^.I now have finally my complete Oska Set(awaked, not upgraded yet).The Awake on my Suit ist +400Mp and is states with 2 Dex and 3 Sta, i wanted a Sta awake but i didnt find one.I used the Char Sim and when the Set is +8 i would have on lvl 80 with my Abow ~ 8,2k Hp and ~ 50% Melle Block. Is it enough Hp and could i Aoe at Augus then?(8,2k Hp with Att Pierce, not Hp).

Ranger is only good in PvP if you are damn rich. My ranger's gear is currently worth 8b (jewel less) and I hit 2k in PvP. This is with PvM gear though.
Now, let's gear a BP with 8b. 80k dmg, easily.
Though, if you gear a ranger with 80b... You'll deal 125k dmg, and I can ensure this, since a friend of mine achieved that.
Best for PvP is BP, since it's overpowered. Blade is good if you have some money. YJ is good versus weaker people, or versus stronger if you are rich.

Depends on your class.
For elementor, yes (wind - windfield, elec - elecshock, ...)
For psykeeper/RM, it REDUCES your damage.
For knight/blade/BP, no idea
For ranger, only fire arrow (so fire element)

If your computer is fast enough, H&R catsies (forsaken tower) would be best exp, I believe.

Ultimate Angels Bow +2 Fire +10 4x Dex B 24 Sta 16 Dex awake (I'll use it with lvl 80)
Okas Helm +3 16 Dex
Okas Gaunts +3 115 Attack -200 Mp +1% casttime
Okas Boots +6 5% Speed 350 Mp
(I'm searching for a Suit but i don't find a nice awaked one)
I will make the set +6 or should i make it +8?

Upgrade it as far as you can afford it.
+8 set is superior (>) to an ultimate weapon for an AoE-er imo.
Of course +10 is better, in fact, I think even a +10 set is superior to an ultimate weapon. Set is most important for an AoE-er, and the weapon for a 1on1-er.
SO:
+8 set >>> ultimate weapon
+10 set > ultimate weapon
Though it might not be worth it to get a lv75 set +10, so I'd go for +8 set. But +6... just no.

My first char was a ranger which I retired @ lv23 cos I put str (you need dex).
Afterwards I made a psykeeper which became lv65.
Afterwards many chars followed, but none of them passed lv70.
Then my RM came, he hit lv100.
After my RM, but ranger rised, and he became hero.
So no, it isn't my first char. I was playing flyff for almost 2 years when I made him. And ye... he was my first step to success. Take the class you like, and you'll get the farest.
