  • Este EP es la cumbia.

  • I haven't heard this song since about 2000, and the intro randomly popped into my head. Forgot what band it was and what the name of the song was. I spent about 4 hour searching for it until I finally found this band AND this song. Listened to it about 6 times. I'm much better now.

Also found that the newer stuff is a little soft. Not bad, just not nearly as good.

  • True, the beginning and ending reminds of mother russia and another song(cant remember), but still its better and the rest of the song and vocals are NOTHING alike.

  • my ringtone

  • the good old in flames!!

  • In Flames are okay today but this makes me fucking happy. Anders could never sing like this!

  • @FrankBlocc not true man, you ever listen to Dark tranquillity or Ceremonial oath when anders was on vocals? He used to be fucking good, but growling from 91ish-2011 takes its toll...

  • @Banned187 Yeah you've got a point there. And I have listened to DT and CO but I think that Stanne's voice really made Dark Tranquillity a perfect band. Anders' voice belongs to IF ;)

  • @FrankBlocc i agree with you to, i don't care much for new in flame and tranquillity, But i repect them. and out of curiousity the blocc part of your name doesn't happen to have anything to do with bloccstylee or BLH does it?

  • @Buttercito Tbh, it doesn't mean anything :P

  • @Banned187 Anders growled even before '91. In 1990, he released the Enfeebled Earth demo with Septic Broiler (pre-Dark Tranquillity).

  • oh man how i hate the new in flames...

  • Fucking. Epic. Riff.

  • I just found out that the vocalist on the EP was neither Mikael Stanne nor Anders Friden. But it's still killer :D

  • Grim world of warcraft!!

  • die hordee rennt :D

  • @RunnerS6S dacht ich am anfang auch :D

  • Any1 Agree That anders should give a try into this song for a EP Remake?

  • thumps if u think metal is dying i mean after clayman u cant even compare the songs to the old

  • @rowaid96 Metal isn't dying, just In Flames' as a metal band.

  • This is so unique and so brilliant! You can't really compare this old In Flames sound to anything. 'Cannot believe this music has ended........It is a legend now!

  • cool song. wasn't this their first EP?

  • @TheMetalHeaD256 It was their first EP and one of the best releases they ever made, personally I prefer this EP over anything else they ever released, but that is just my opinion, which is why I said one of the best releases. This song is probarly my favorite In Flames song.

  • pwnnnnnnnnnnnnnage

  • one of my favorite songs :D

  • if you love this song, you should look for other band like Falconer, Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, ect. this song remind me them

  • @TitoIpro but this in flames song is Melo Death so Sonata Arctica wouldnt actually go with it but yea cos of it intro it really rocks

  • @biggbb253

    nope.

  • Epic. Jesper Stomblad!

  • The Biology nerd in me was hoping for an ode to earth's biosphere...but it's still a kickass song. old in flames rule! I hope they be performin some old songs on Nova Rock '11....but I guess that would scare off the 100 lbs emo haircut metalcore kids that dig their new style -__-

  • Love the way it doesn't have an intro - straight to the head bang worthy shit!

  • one of my favorite songs of in flames....i think decemberflover is also just a fucking good song....

  • The intro is so awesome.....I feel like a viking pillaging a village when I listen to this song.

  • goosebumps

  • After listening this song my neck always hurts like shit because of the headbanging :p. Seriously this is the best In Flames song evahh

  • YEAHHHH I love old in flames!!

  • Could anyone tell me what the album cover is supposed to be? I could never figure it out... And old school In Flames ftw! :D

  • @Pezablez It looks to me like a wood fire burning with the image of a little girl inside of the flame....it appears she may be looking down or stepping on a severed head....I have a much larger picture and that's what it looks like to me. There is definitely a wooden fire burning with a girl inside, the head part is a possibility.

  • Great song, looks like they got a lot of inspiration from "Dia Psalma - Balladen om lilla Elsa" though :P

  • gibts noch jemanden, für den 1:22 wie "Hauswirtschaft und Physik" klingt? XD

  • @knorCam lol euhm mit viel Fantasie kann man daraus die binomischen Formeln ableiten. Siehste das auch? XD

  • this is surely one of the best songs ever

  • Such a great melody

  • This is sweet. I saw In Flames live around 2000-2001, it was cool because I met Anders (Vocalist) outside of the tourbus.

  • The style of this album is sooooooooo awesome!

  • @FenderUsa Compare the Maiden song ''No More Lies'' with the begining of this song :D

  • @orkiwutz this song was made in 94, way before no more lies

  • @FenderUsa lol ur right :D mhh maybe Maiden was a little bit too much inspired by in flames :D

  • @orkiwutz you got that right bro !

  • @orkiwutz you got that right bro !

  • @FenderUsa Anyway this is Iron maiden style.....

  • @FenderUsa amen!!!

  • @orkiwutz lol i noticed that as soon as i heard this

  • @orkiwutz I thought that Maiden MAY have drawn inspiration from the riff for their song "The Pilgrim" which was released like 10 years after this. Not implying anything and it might not be true, but they do sound VERY similar.

  • @orkiwutz man when i heard that song for first time i thought exactly the same thing!!they are sooo similar:P..but in flames wrote this at nineties and maiden wrote no more lies at 2004...who ispired whom?:P

  • @orkiwutz

Which means Iron Maiden "covered" this song which is on album Subterranean [1995]

  • little bit to much inspired by maiden :D but still good interpretation of this riff

  • one of the most kick ass guitar solos i have ever heard

  • Sure they were inspired by Iron Maiden, but this song was released before No More Lies :P

  • ne mogu da verujem kako su znali, a onda usrali...

  • Wow this track has a lot of swedish folk elements.

  • @ArchaelN123 True

  • I like the intro, it reminds me of Iron Maiden's Transylvania

  • There's a song called The Never-Ending Quest Will End by Conquest, it has a melody a bit like this

  • What madien song riff is in the intro?!

  • It's similar to the pilgrim.

  • The intro is awsom! :D

  • btw. fuckin best song of this album...hate that there's no live version :(

  • it depends in which land you are living...in USA it was released in december 1994 but in germany for example in 1995

  • maiden much?

  • dumb ass 1993

  • More like 1995. So you were both wrong.

I have the cd when it was released in 1995 on Wrong Again Records so I know what I'm talking about.

  • @TheGoldenPS1 this album was released in 1994 not 95

  • @Tehbarrel

It says 1995 Wrong Again Records on the disc and I bought it in May 1995 when it came out in Sweden. Lunar Strain was released on Wrong Again Records in 1994.

  • @TheGoldenPS1 and wrong again with u i have a cd too released in 94.... so i know what im talking about too so yeah.....

  • how old is this? 1997 or something eh? this is one of my favorite in flames songs, one of the first ones I ever heard

  • @mafiahit

    older. like 94ish

  • i believe that some old songs of in flames are inspired by iron maiden !!! i f u see some videos that show them in studio playing some of their songs u'll see some iron maiden photos on the wall ;)

  • Contrast this with JAn Hegenberg - Die Allianz schlägt zurück

i think the moldic is the same

  • 0:00-1:00 the best :D

  • @sloxcs idd 0:00 - 1:00 for the best memories

  • @sloxcs nope. 0:00- 5:10 is the best

  • @sloxcs Listen to Iron Maiden's Mother Russia

  • @emadhatter sounds similar in some parts

  • @DarkLordNagash The Iron Maiden influence is quite prevalent throughout early In Flames imo. Ah, how I miss old IF...

  • @emadhatter I don't see much Maiden in old In Flames... I dunno, old In Flames is good (Behind Space and Biosphere belong to my favs) but my personal fav is Reroute To Remain...

  • @emadhatter Stfu, Nothing near fkin Iron Maiden u frekin' jerk. This is real shit.

  • @sloxcs indeed! =D

  • 0:53 run to the hills?!?! Lol amazing song like all iron maiden songs.

  • i can hear lots of maiden and metallica in this

  • but this is older then ( as example ) no more lies :D

  • @frethero19 this song frankly came out way before any of Maiden's song that resemble this song, Inflames are awesome and this pretty much is one of my fav. songs.

  • @frethero19 Inflames wrote this in the 90's

  • old in flames >>>>>>>>>> new in flames

  • old songs are felt more and say less but new songs say more (its a lot more to be said :)..but lack in music)....i accept that ... long live in flames

  • This song reminds me on some iron maiden song, but dont remember what song :P

  • Did thought mother russia perhaps?

  • yeah No More Lies is much inspired by this :D

  • better then leeches and shitty soft whinning songs like that

  • lol so true

  • @deathroll88 "whinning?" Is that like what Charlie Sheen really does?

  • @deathroll88 than*

but I agree, anything from this EP is better than new In Flames.

  • Oh man... I love this, the intro gives me good bumps...

  • amazing intro

  • Honestly, I wish Forss had stayed on as vocalist instead of Anders. Friden could never properly growl, and his recent work has been simply atrocious.

  • i agree but i dont think the jester race would be the same without anders

  • guess it's a matter of opinion, but I like both the old and new in flames, regardless of the singers. Still an amazing band, can't wait to see them live.

  • in flames we trust from the icy peaks of scandanavia

  • "Thanks fot the upload"? xD

  • awesome song thanks for the upload

  • Why say that on your own video? o.o

  • i was bored

  • The intro on the guitar sounds exactly like the song: Rasputin, in the begining

  • in flames we trust from athens

  • did In Flames ever at any time have a diffrent singer than Anders? cause this voice sounds a lot diffrent, but then again so did whoracle but that was still anders

  • Lol the tune is sounding so much like the one in Rasputin by Bony M, especialy the covered version from Turisas.

  • yeah someone mentioned that earlier... however this was made before that one.

  • that guy is going to lose his voice lol xD cant imagine how much of a soar throat he must have had after singing this song.

  • he probobly didnt cause screaming is just a wierd distortion of the voice that makes it sound really raspy and violent, but ur throat dosent hurt.....I can do it

  • really? i had no idea to be completely honest. I can make those sounds but it hurts like f*cking hell.

  • you have to use the right vocal chords... look up the zen of screaming if you want to learn how to scream without damaging yourself. i learned without it, but i've been doing it since i was 15 or so...

  • i always thought anders is the best singer that in flames ever had but henke forss is so much better...

  • Kick Ass intro!!!!

I love In Flames. I tend to prefer there new stuff, but man, why can't they do some more riffs like these.

  • The opening guitar riffs are amazing. In Flames we trust! =)

  • I love this fuckin song, one of their bests. In Flames for ever

  • Opening is one of the best for any songs and should have been the music throughout the song.

The actually singing (well screaming) was kind of meh.

  • The start of this song is so amazing...not so hot on the lyrics thought.

  • Riff sounds abit like an Iron Maiden kindda riff very nice.

  • the intro is VERY similar to Turisas - Rasputin, isn't it? :o

  • Yes, but this was made in 1994...

  • Agreed- Fucking awesome song. Very addictive riffs.

  • best guitar iv heard in a long time. In Flames We Trust

  • Awesome Riffs

  • oh yeahh this fucking rules... In Flames we trust!!!

  • The guitars here are fucking awesome!!!

  • cough fag cough

mhm what do u no same here

  • sry but i kinda dont have itunes or shit on my computer and id rather have the cd then a download

  • this is fucking amazing

wish i culd find this cd sumwhere

  • Amazon should have it.

  • this is fucking in flames!

  • yea ur right, it sound like it

  • begening look like no more lie - iron maiden !! :O

  • For sure! It's one of their biggest source of influence (I read that on their website haha)

  • pretty sure this is the current singer of Dark Tranquility

  • nope he was on Lunar Strain

  • The vocalist was a session vocalist named: Henke Forss (courtesy In Flames official site)

  • so did In Flames only have this vocalist for this song or was he the original founding vocalist for In Flames?

  • the original one

anders I think came in after this album

  • Yes, Mikael Stanne was the first on Behind Space, then Henke Forse on Subterranean, Anders came after them.

  • Their first album had the Vocalist for Dark Tranquility, then a differnt guy for Subterrenian, then Anders Friden (current vocalist)

  • i love the guitar

  • Awesome song!

I learned to play it with guitar today :)

  • different singer here

  • awsomest intro ever!!!

    great song!!!

  • why do I think of vikings and...medieval stuff when I listen to the intro?............

  • I think Pirates lol

  • It does remind of a medieval melody..

  • "awesome song by In Flames" is kind of a pleonasm, isn't it? ;)

  • something cool i noticed. this album was in the early/mid 90's and Iron Iron Maiden's dance of death was in 2003. iron maiden has the same beginning riff as this song on No More Lies.

yet maiden's been around longer. 10$ says thats jsut a coincidence

  • not really, the riff is similar, but its not really the same

  • Guitar power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
